Trudy Cooley, 48
Trudy L. ( Stricklett ) Cooley, 48, of Blair died Friday, Feb. 27, 1998, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.
Services were Monday at First Christian Church in Blair. Rev. David Ludwick officiated. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.
Trudy L. Stricklett Cooley was born Nov. 16, 1949, in Blair to Rolland and Doreatha ( Moore ) Stricklett. She attended the Blair Schools. She worked for Crowell Memorial Home and Good Shepherd Lutheran Home as a certified nursing assistant. She was also active in the Share Program.
Survivors are her stepfather, Al Millrons of Blair; daughters, Dusti ( Mrs. Kris ) Anderson of Biloxi, Miss. and Alisha Cooley of Blair; sisters, Marilyn Miller of Blair and Becky Millrons of Blair and special friend, Al Cooley of Blair.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Sammy.

Howard F. Gilbert, 72
Howard F. Gilbert, 72, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 1998, at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs.
Services and burial were private.
Howard F. Gilbert was born in Decatur, Neb. He served as a medic with the U.S. Navy during World War II and was at Pearl Harbor. He was a truck driver.
He is survived by a son, David Gilbert of Seattle, Wash.; three grandsons; four sisters, Thelma Smith of Rosamond, Calif.; Joyce Donaldson of Bremerton, Wash.; Delores Baker of Council Bluffs and Carol Morris of Los Vegas, Nev.; and five brothers, Wayne Gilbert of Dallas, Tex.; Leon Gilbert of Springfield, Neb.; Ronald Gilbert of Macedonia, Iowa; Gerald Gilbert of Council Bluffs and Garry Gilbert of Tucson, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel in 1958; a son, Michael Gilbert and a brother, Leland Gilbert.
McCurdy Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Henrietta Rinderspacher, 91
Henrietta K. Rinderspacher, 91, of Fremont died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998, at Arbor Manor Living Center in Fremont.
Services were Friday at the Presbyterian Church. Rev. Stephen Brownlee officiated. Burial was in Memorial cemetery in Fremont.
Henrietta K. Rinderspacher was born Feb. 18, 1907, in Fremont to William and Emma ( Meierhenry ) Rinderspacher. She attended Fremont Public Schools, Midland Lutheran College and Iowa State College, where she graduated with a degree in home economics. She interned at Presbyterian Hospital in Chicago, Ill. and worked for a time at the Highland Park Hospital in Highland Park, Ill., where she was in charge of dietetics. She also worked for the Farm Security Administration in Fremont and from 1938 to 1943 for the Farm Security Administration in Lexington, Neb. She also worked for the Blair Hospital in Blair as a dietetic consultant for 13 years and later for two years on a part - time basis; for nine years as a dietitian at Memorial Hospital in Fremont; and was food service manager at Midland College.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Fremont; the Order of Eastern Star Arbor Vitae Chapter No. 92 in Fremont and had received her 50 year membership pin from that organization; was a lifetime member of the Altrusa Club in Fremont and was a member of Phi Omega Pi Sorority at Iowa State College.
Survivors include a friend, Joyce Westphal of Fremont and many cousins.
Pallbearers were Harold Meierhenry, Vernon Geisler, Richard Thompson, Dwain Jordan, Greg Jordan and Kent Jordan.
Rozanek and Son Colonial Chapel in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
Lily Tietgen, 90
Lily M. Tietgen, 90, of Arlington died Saturday, Feb. 28, 1998, at Arbor Manor in Fremont.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Clausen Funeral Home in Burke, S. D. Rev. Keith Petersen of St. John's Lutheran Church, Herrick, will officiate. Burial will be in the Herrick cemetery at Herrick, S.D.
Lily M.. Tietgen was born Feb. 29, 1908, at Herrick, S.D. to William and Bertha ( Kannenberg ) Klug. She grew up at Herrick and graduated from Herrick High School. She then taught elementary school and attended Springfield State Teachers College in Springfield, S.D., for two years, during summer sessions. After her marriage to Albert Tietgen on Oct. 10, 1930, at Gregory, S. D., she lived at Burke, S.D. for two years and continued to teach until 1937. She and her husband owned and operated a service station and tank wagon service at Herrick from 1937 to 1972. She resumed her teaching career in the early 1960s at Herrick and Burke for several years. She moved to Arlington in 1986.
She was a member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Fremont and of the Arlington Multi Purpose Senior Center at Arlington.
Survivors are a daughter and son - in - law, Norma Jean and Wallace Thompson of Arlington; a brother, Sherman Klug of St. Charles, S.D.; four grandchildren and their spouses, Scott and Ellen Thompson, Steve and Rhonda Thompson, Julie and Mike French, all of Arlington; and Kelly and Jodi Thompson of Fremont; and nine great - grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 14, 1989; a brother, Willis Klug; a sister, Rose Paulsen and two step sisters, Olida Sieh and Vera Buald.
Pallbearers will be Wallace Thompson, Scott Thompson, Kelly Thompson, Steve Thompson, Mike French and Lance French.
Memorials may be given to the Arlington Multi - Purpose Senior Center, Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church or St. John's Lutheran Church.

Donna Nielsen, 56
Donna Nielsen, 56, of Kennard died Tuesday, April 28, 1998, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Campbell - Aman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Kennard Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, beginning at 9 a.m. with the family receiving friends and family from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Donna Nielsen was born March 25, 1942, in Omaha to Chris and Alice ( Annin ) Christensen. She married
Harvey Nielsen in 1961 in Glenwood, Iowa. She had a 1976 Pacer car she enjoyed.
Survivors are her husband, Harvey of Kennard; two daughters, Chrystal Nielsen and Aliceann Speicher, both of Omaha; three grandchildren; two sisters and brothers - in - law, Jean and Richard Ulmer, Soldier, Iowa; and Barbara and Jerry Priefert of Omaha; a brother and sister - in - law, Chris and Karen Christensen of Kansas City, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
John Wrich, 73
John G. Wrich, 73, of Fremont died Thursday, April 23, 1998, at the Valhaven Nursing Center in Valley, Neb.
Graveside services were Saturday at Memorial cemetery in Fremont.
John Wrich was born July 19, 1924 on the family farm near Kennard to John C. and Margretha ( Hansen ) Wrich. He attended Peaceful Hill School near his home. He served in the U. S. Army during 1946, receiving the Victory Medal. He worked at the Mead Ordinance Plant, on farms, at the Nixon Feed Mill and the Omaha School District No. 66. He moved to Fremont in August 1965. He first did janitorial work for several Fremont businesses and then went to work for American Freezer Services. He retired from there in August 1992 after 23 years of employment there. On Sept. 18, 1956, he married
Ruth Schultz in the Bethlehem Mennonite Church in Bloomfield, Mont.
Survivors are a daughter, Catherine A. Wrich of Fremont; a son and daughter - in - law, Wilbur and Bonnie Wrich of Fremont; a grandson, Christopher Wrich of Fremont; a brother, Lawrence Wrich of Ashland; and two sisters and a brother - in - law, Margaret and Lyle Henley of Tekamah and Elsie Petersen of Fremont.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth on Oct. 28, 1996, his parents; and two brothers, Claus Wrich and Albert Wrich.

Leavada E. Feige, 89, of Logan, Iowa died Monday, April 27, 1998, at the Westmont Care Center in Logan.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Schumacher Funeral Home in Logan.
Survivors are daughters and sons - in - law, Ione and Willis Gramkow of Logan; Dorothy and Stanley Taylor of Blair; son and daughter - in - law, Alve and Ilene Feige of Logan; grandchildren and great - grandchildren.
Mary Anderson Vig, 96
Mary H. Anderson Vig, 96, died Sunday, April 26, 1998, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home after a brief stay there.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Blair cemetery were memorial services at 11 a.m. that day at First Lutheran Church.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Campbell - Aman Funeral Home.
Mary H. Anderson Vig was born in Blair Sept. 12, 1901, to Theodore and Julia Beck Anderson. She was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church. A life - long resident of Blair, she graduated from Blair High School in 1919. She first taught country school in Washington County and then attended Dana College. In 1923, she began her long teaching career in the Blair Elementary School system, teaching at West School from 1923 to 1947 and then from 1956 until her retirement in 1968. On June 29, 1946, she married
Alfred Clarence "Clown; " Vig, a former Blair mayor, after his return from World War II service with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater.
She was active in her church and as a volunteer at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.
Survivors are her son, Ronald Vig of rural Blair; her grandson, Jason; a sister - in - law, Vi Anderson and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1956; her parents and a brother, James.
