James Lowe
SHELTON -- James W. Lowe, 74, of Shelton died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000, at his home.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Shelton with the Rev. John Ewton officiating. Burial will be in the Shelton Cemetery.
No visitation is planned.
Godberson Mortuary of Gibbon and Shelton is in charge of arrangements.
Lonnie Wrasse
SARGENT -- Lonnie L. Wrasse, 66, of Sargent died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, at Jennie M. Melham Memorial Medical Center in Broken Bow.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Ansley. The Revs. Marty Robbins and Mark Crist will officiate. Burial will be in the Ansley Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Rhoad Funeral Home in Sargent.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Mr. Wrasse was born Feb. 12, 1934, in Ansley to Edward and Emma (Davis) Wrasse. He attended country school and Box Elder School near Ansley. He graduated from Ansley High School in 1951.
He attended college at Kearney. He completed his degree at the University of Nebraska in 1956. He entered the Navy as an Ensign on May 2, 1957, and was discharged on Aug. 4, 1960.
Mr. Wrasse married
Joan Suthard in May 1960 in California. The lived in California for a time and then moved to Denver.
In 1983 he married
Patricia Shelton.
He married
Marlys Hansen on Aug. 19, 1995 in Sargent. He was an accountant and tax consultant. He retired and moved to Sargent in 1999.
He was a member of the Church of Christ in Sargent.
Survivors include his wife, Marlys; two daughters, Kelli (Mrs. Jim) Gilbert and Misti Wrasse, both of Denver; two grandchildren; three stepdaughters, Tamara (Mrs. David) Thompson and Sharla (Mrs. Dan) Clark, both of Sargent and Sandra Winchester of Central City; one stepson, David Hansen of Sargent; 14 step-grandchildren; and one sister, Deanna Gustavson of Los Altos, Calif.
Roger Wullenwaber
ERICSON -- Roger Lee Wullenwaber, 57, of Ericson died Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at his home.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Burwell with the Rev. Allen Bergstrazer officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association or to the family.
Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wullenwaber was born on Aug. 21, 1943, in Seward to Otto Henry and Evelyn Pearl (Morris) Wullenwaber. He graduated from Utica High School in 1960.
He married
Janet Elrod on Nov. 9, 1963, in Utica.
He was vice president for Hughes Brothers Inc. in Seward. The couple bought a farm near Staplehurst in 1972. He continued to work for Hughes Brothers and moved into Staplehurst in 1979.
Mr. Wullenwaber retired from Hughes Brothers in 1989 and continued to be self-employed. In 1996, he moved to Ericson, where he owned Sandhills Western Store and Ericson Cash Feed Service.
He was a charter member of the Jaycees in Utica, where he also helped organize the community's annual rodeo. He also was on the fire and rescue squad in Utica.
Mr. Wullenwaber served on the school board at Our Redeemer's Lutheran School and as village clerk in Staplehurst. He loved horses and breaking them to drive and had a team and carriage that was used for weddings.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Matt Wullenwaber of Lincoln; one daughter, Michelle Leffers of Ericson; three grandchildren; two brothers, Norman Wullenwaber of Hollywood, Fla., and Gary Wullenwaber of Seward; and two sisters, Janice (Mrs. Ivan) Cradick of Utica and Connie (Mrs. Bruce) Horn of York.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Leland.
Patrick Becher
COLUMBUS -- Patrick Jon Thomas Becher, 31, of Columbus died Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at Columbus Community Hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Columbus with the Rev. Richard Bringewatt officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial cemetery in Columbus.
Agnes Rose
OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Agnes M. Rose, 83, of Olympia, Wash., died Nov. 25, 2000, at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Olympia.
Mrs. Rose was born on Aug. 1, 1917, in St. Paul to Tom and Josie (Vrebsky) Matuusek.
She married
Thomas E. Rose on March 1946. She taught school for a time in Nebraska and organized and led 4-H clubs in Nebraska and Washington.
She was retired from Ocean Spray Cranberries and was a member of AARP and Retired Teamsters 252.
Survivors include three sons, Thomas G. of Everett, Wash., and Creighten K. and Frederick L., both of Olympia; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Maxine Meyer and Erma Rasmussen, both of St. Paul, Betty Frafjord of Aberdeen, Wash., and Ottie Loyher of Grand Island.
Violet Urban
NORTHGLENN, Colo. -- Violet L. Urban, 73, of Northglenn, Colo., died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, in Northglenn.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Aspen Commerce City Chapel. Mrs. Urban was cremated.
Memorials are suggested to the Hospice of Peace Home Team in Denver.
Aspen Mortuaries is in charge of arrangements.
Thelma Johnson
Thelma Mae Johnson, 79, of Grand Island, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Services are pending with the Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home.
