Daniel Konwinski
LINCOLN -- Daniel Eugene Konwinski, 20, of Lincoln, formerly of Columbus, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000 in Lincoln.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Isidore Catholic church in Columbus. The Rev. Joseph A. Miksch will officiate. Burial will be at St. Peter's cemetery at Fullerton.
Visitation will be at 4 p.m. Friday at St. Isidore Church with a 7 p.m. vigil service. Further visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the family.

Mr. Konwinski was born July 8, 1980, at Fullerton to Ken and Teresa (Dubas) Konwinski. He attended schools in Fullerton until moving to Columbus when he was a junior. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1999. He was currently attending Southeast Community College in Lincoln. In high school he participated in wrestling and football. He also enjoyed camping.
He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church.
Survivors include his father of Fullerton; his mother of Columbus; two brothers, Gregory and Trent, both of Columbus; great-grandmothers, Maxine Bryer of Central City and Helen Konwinski of Fullerton; and grandparents, Frank and Phyullis Dubas of Columbus and Don Konwinski of Fullerton.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Craig and a grandmother, Patricia Konwinski.
Ida Mark
INDIANOLA, Iowa -- Ida Mark, 90, of Indianola, Iowa, formerly of Grand Island, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000 at the Indianola Good Samaritan Center in Indianola.
Services will be at a later date. There will be no visitation. Mrs. Mark was cremated. Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. Mark was born Nov. 14, 1910 in Pukwana, S.D., to John and Georgina (Bergner) Stolte. After graduating from high school in Chamberlane, S.D., she moved to Grand Island to attend business college.
She married
Warren Mark on April 13, 1941 in St. Paul. She worked as a bookkeeper at Schweser's, a clerk at Wolbach's, and in the maintenance department of the Ordinance Plant and Fonner Park. She retired in the early 1980s.
She remained a resident of Grand Island until 1992 when she moved to Iowa to be near her family.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Bette June Schweiger of Des Moines, Iowa; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers; and two sisters.
Bertha Bagley
Bertha Luella Bagley, 88, of Grand Island died Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, at Tiffany Square Care Center.
Services will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home. The Rev. Terry Brown will officiate.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Further services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Center Methodist Church in Center, N.D. Burial will be in the Bagley Family cemetery in North Dakota.
Mrs. Bagley was born on Jan. 1, 1912, in her parents' home in Oliver County, N.D., to Theodore and Elizabeth (Greeley) Linn. She grew up in rural Center, N.D., where she attended school through the ninth grade and later worked on the family farm.
She married
Percy Oliver Bagley of Stanton, N.D., on June 12, 1932, and lived on the Bagley family farm for 40 years with his brother, Merle, who married
her sister, Jennie. After retiring, they moved to Grand Island, where they lived with their daughter and son-in-law until their deaths.
During their 40 years together in North Dakota, Mrs. Bagley was a lay minister for the Church of God of Prophecy, served in various offices in North Dakota and Canada, pastored for short terms in the local church and conducted revival services in several states.
Mrs. Bagley enjoyed playing the organ and singing hymns, encouraging others and praying with them.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruby (Mrs. Arnold) Meyhoff of Center, N.D., and Luella (Mrs. Melvin) Boeckel of Grand Island; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Clifford Linn of Sturgis, S.D.; and one sister, Jennie (Mrs. Linn) Bagley of Winchester, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandson, one great-grandson, five brothers and one sister.
'Ray' Dittmar
Charles R. "Ray" Dittmar, 78, of 2324 W. John died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Mr. Dittmar's body was cremated.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Jerry Quandt will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.

Norbert Lanners
Norbert "Bert" Lanners, 96, of Grand Island died Monday, Sept. 25, 2000, at Riverside Lodge.
Services are pending at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home.
Margery Melkus
Margery Wochner Melkus, 88, of Grand Island died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, at Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Cathedral with the Rev. Don Larmore officiating. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.

Survivors include three sons, Roger Melkus of Flower Mound, Texas, Gordon Melkus of Clovis, Calif., and Richard Melkus of Omaha; two daughters, Marilyn (Mrs. Joe) McCluskey of York and Rita (Mrs. Frank) Sargent of Sioux City, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; one son, Daniel Robert; and one sister, Marie.
Valma Barnes
ALBION -- Valma C. Barnes, 88, of Albion died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2000, at the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center in Albion.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Albion with the Rev. Gilbert Karges officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Albion.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Levander Funeral Home in Albion.
Beverly Friesen
HENDERSON -- Beverly A. Friesen, 65, of Henderson died Sunday Sept. 24, 2000, at Henderson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson. The Rev. Weldon Martens will officiate. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Metz Mortuary in Henderson.
Memorials are suggested to the Bethesda Church Music Fund or the Bethesda Radio Broadcast.
Mrs. Friesen was born on Sept. 10, 1935, in Henderson to Herman J. and Eva (Kroeker) Janzen. She graduated from Henderson High School in 1953.
She married
Myron Friesen on Aug. 9, 1955, at Henderson.
Mrs. Friesen recently retired from Cornerstone Bank in Henderson after nine years of service.
She was an active member of Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson. She was a member of Mission Circle 2 and the Chancel Choir and was a past member of the Women's Golf Association at Henderson.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Matt, Cal and Jim, all of Henderson; two daughters, Lori (Mrs. Luke) Jacobsen of Marquette and Gayle Siebert of Henderson; 13 grandchildren; and two brothers, Maurice Janzen of Henderson and Homer Janzen of Longmont, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
