Cory Myers
BOELUS -- Cory Myers, 20, of Boelus died Monday, Oct. 30, 2000, as the result of a traffic accident near Boelus.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church Family Center in Dannebrog with the Rev. Barry Arndt officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge cemetery in Dannebrog.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., with a family service at 7 p.m. for the family and friends, Friday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul is in charge of arrangements.
Albert Sutton
ST. EDWARD -- Albert Nathan Sutton, 93, of St. Edward died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2000, at the Cloverlodge Care Center in St. Edward.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Methodist-Presbyterian Church in St. Edward. The Rev. John Gradwohl will officiate. Burial will be in Dublin cemetery in Primrose.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Miller-Levander Funeral Home in St. Edward.
Mr. Sutton was born on March 21, 1907, at Concordia, Kan., to Robert S. and Mary (Hall) Sutton. He attended school in Boone County, then Wheeler County school districts and graduated from the eighth grade.
He married
Grace Mildred Mayfield on June 28, 1928, at Fullerton. They lived and farmed west of Belgrade for a year. He then started working for the Boone and Platte County Road Department, building highways for 51 years. They lived in Elgin, Bartlett, Spalding and Albion. They moved to St. Edward in 1939.
He was a member of the Methodist-Presbyterian Church in St. Edward.
Survivors include four daughters, Macseen (Mrs. Jim) Zimmerman and Virginia Krueger, both of the Dalles, Ore., Rosemary (Mrs. Lynn) Krueger of Omaha and Bonnie (Mrs. Dick) Otto of Fremont; three sons, Ron Sutton of Genoa, Jack Sutton of St. Edward and Jim Sutton of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 25 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 15 stepgreat-grandchildren; one sister, Amy Belcher of Oregon; and a special friend, Mable Buettner of St. Edward.
His wife died in 1983. He also was preceded in death by one son, Lawrence; several grandchildren; five brothers; and four sisters.
Bill Fitzgerald
EXETER -- William Walter "Bill" Fitzgerald, 65, a 36-year resident of Exeter, died Oct. 24, 2000, following a five-year battle with lung cancer.
Services were on Friday at the United Methodist Church in Exeter. The Rev. Kim Dunker and Sister M. Frances Ann officiated.
Cremation followed the services.
Mr. Fitzgerald was born on Feb. 26, 1935, at Central City to John F. and Ruth E. (Clayton) Fitzgerald. His father died in October 1935. He attended Fullerton public schools and was a 1953 graduate of Fullerton High School, where he excelled in sports.
He married
Carolyn Morris of Genoa in 1953.
He played baseball at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Peru State College, graduating in 1961. He received his master of education from UNL in 1969.
He taught at Brock three years before going to Exeter in 1964. He taught geography, history, physical education and health in addition to serving as athletic director and principal during his 37-year teaching career.
He married
Norene Havel of Exeter in 1978. The couple lived in Exeter.
He played semipro baseball for more than 20 years. In 1986, he received the Nebraska Coaches Association award for 25 years of coaching.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Exeter, a lifetime member of the Nebraska School Education Association and National Education Association and was a past member of the Nebraska Coaches Association and Nebraska School Administration Association.
Survivors include his wife, Norene; three daughters, Cynthia (Mrs. Ivan) Tuxhorn of McCool Junction, Shelly (Mrs. Randy) Hellbusch of Friend and Charice Cay Fitzgerald of McCool Junction; one son, George Fitzgerald of Topeka, Kan.; six grandchildren; and one brother, Don Fitzgerald of Fullerton.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Patsy (Mrs. Milton) Johnson; and one brother, Darel Fitzgerald.
Sandra Nichols
LINCOLN -- Sandra L. Nichols, 58, of Lincoln, formerly of Grand Island, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2000.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in Wyuka cemetery in Lincoln.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and before service time Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Mrs. Nichols was born on March 20, 1942, at Minneapolis to Gerald and Rose Snyder. She was a tightrope walker in the late 1950s in the Barnum & Bailey Circus.
She received the Phoenix Foundation Award in 1998.
Survivors include three sons, Michael Melgaard of Grand Island, Gerald Keith Snyder of Lincoln and Vincent Snyder of Hastings; and 15 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bonnie.
Bill Noble
OMAHA -- E.F. "Bill" Noble, 88 of Omaha, formerly of Grand Island, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, in Omaha.

Donald Myers
LAS VEGAS -- Donald L. Myers, 88, of Las Vegas died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at Green Valley Nursing Center in New Albany, Ind.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Palm Mortuary in Henderson, Nev. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Memorial Park in Henderson.
Mr. Myers was born on March 22, 1912, at Ansley.
He was the owner of Midwest Furniture Stores in Norfolk, Omaha, O'Neill and Ainsworth until 1962. He moved in 1963 to Las Vegas, where he owned American Furniture and Self-service Furniture.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge for many years and was an avid University of Las Vegas booster for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Myers of Clarksville, Ind.; a daughter, Jeryce Russell of Las Vegas; a son, Danny Myers of Louisiana; two grandchildren; and two brothers, Kenneth Myers of Sargent and Jack Myers of Denver.
His wife, Irene Myers, died in 1971.
