Esther Hansen
NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Esther Hansen, 93, of Naperville, Ill., formerly of Aurora, died Thursday, April 12, 2001, at Naperville.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Higby Mortuary Chapel in Aurora. The Rev. Joe Scahill will officiate. Burial will be in the Aurora Cemetery.
Visitation is planned from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Higby Mortuary.
Norma Wilson
MESA, Ariz. -- Norma L. Wilson, 72, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Phillips, died on Friday, April 6, 2001.
Services are planned for 10:30 a.m. April 21 at the home of her daughter, Judy, in Paradise Valley, Ariz.
Mrs. Wilson was born on August 22, 1928, in Wood River. She lived with her family in rural Nebraska until they settled in Phillips. She was a 1946 Phillips High School graduate. She had attended her 50th high school class reunion.
She married
Laurence Wilson on May 19, 1946. The couple traveled around the Midwest for several years until settling in Colorado Springs, Colo. In the early 1980s, the family moved to the Phoenix metropolitan area. They lived had lived in Mesa, Ariz., for the past 15 years. They continued to travel the western United States and Canada, gambling, fishing and collecting stories.
She enjoyed making people laugh and making homemade apple butter.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Judy Askos and Eileen Church; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth Schade and Mary Dickenson; and one brother, Ron Yorty.
Arta Arp
Arta L. Arp, 84, of Grand Island died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at her home.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Pauls Lutheran Church. The Rev. John D. Russell will officiate. Burial of the cremains will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the church.
Mrs. Arp was born on June 10, 1915, in Chapman to Arthur and Luella (Parkins) Hartman. She grew up and was educated in Chapman and graduated from Chapman High School in 1933.
She married
Alvin W. Arp on Sept. 30, 1937, in Grand Island. She worked at Fairmont Dairy and also assisted her husband on the family farm.
She loved crafts, Nebraska football and playing cards.
She was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Happy Homemakers Extension Club in Cairo for more than 50 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Sondra Mora of Cairo; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, James Hartman of Wisconsin; and one sister, Lola McLean of Grand Island.
Her husband died in 1988. She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Janice Kay Arp; two infant sisters; and three brother, Lance Hartman and two infant brothers.
Daniel Jaeger
Daniel G. Jaeger, 56, of Grand Island died Friday, Nov. 26, 1999.
Services are pending with Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to Central Catholic.
Survivors include a son, Roger Jaeger of Hastings; a daughter, Allison Jaeger of Grand Island; a grandson; two brothers, Michael Jaeger of Grand Island and James Jaeger of Willard, Mo.; and two sisters, Patricia Ann Kehm of Grand Island and Betty Miller of Omaha.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Michael Loescher
Michael L. Loescher, 55, of Grand Island died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at his home.
Services are tentatively scheduled for Monday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Memorials are suggested to the family.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine Loescher of Grand Island; a son, Christopher Loescher of Grand Island; four daughters, Kimberly Parnell of Lakeworth, Fla., Lorrie McGill of Bellevue, Michele Keller of Columbus and Cassandra Holmberg of Grand Island; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Raymond Strehle
Raymond F. Strehle, 76, of Grand Island died Thursday, Nov. 25, 1999, at Hamilton Manor at Aurora.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Rev. Don Larmore will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island city Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m., Sunday at the church.
Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Strehle was born on Sept. 13, 1923, at Albion to Joseph and Magdaline (Scharfen) Strehle. He grew up and attended rural schools in the Albion area.
He married
Dorothy Schroeder on Oct. 30, 1945, at Raeville. The couple lived and farmed in the Albion area. They moved to Grand Island around 1968. He worked for the city and later at the Edith Abbott Memorial Library. He retired in 1988.
Mr. Strehle was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Eagles and the Saddle Club. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus while in Albion.
He was an avid Nebraska football fan and loved to dance, eat popcorn and watch movies.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Peggy Ann (Mrs. Gary) Taylor of Grand Island and Betty Jo (Mrs. Rob) Zwink of Castle Rock, Colo.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Alice Price of Grand Island.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Leo, Larry and Ralph.
