Nicky Fieldgrove
ELBA -- Nicky L. Fieldgrove, 40, of Elba died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, at the Howard County Hospital in St. Paul.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul. The Rev. Larry Lepper will officiate. Burial will be in the Elba Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice or the Elba EMT Unit.
Mr. Fieldgrove was born June 18, 1960, at Sargent to Allan and Sue Tracht Fieldgrove. He was educated in a rural school near Ansley. He moved with his family to the Elba area where he continued his education, graduating from Elba High School in 1979. He then attended Central Community College-Grand Island for two years and then attended Hastings College.
He was first employed for Newton Construction of Hastings in farm elevator construction. He was then employed by Wilson Trailer Co. in Grand Island.
He married
Karen Palu on Dec. 26, 1981, at Elba. The couple lived in Alda, and he continued working for Wilson Trailer Co. Later the couple moved to a farm near Wolbach, and he worked in irrigation canal construction near Burwell. The couple then moved to a farm at Worland, Wyo. The couple returned to Nebraska and lived at Bartlett where he was employed at M&M; Farms. They later returned to a farm near Wolbach, and he worked for Case International at Ord. He then was employed by Spilinek Irrigation in Elba. The couple then moved to Elba, and he worked on the Davis Creek Canal project. He then started his own auto mechanic shop in Elba before working with Darrel Schwaderer in grain bin construction. He then worked for Hamilton's honey farms. At the time of his death, he was employed in the shipping department for New Holland in Grand Island.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Randie and Robin, both of Elba; his parents; one sister, Susan Fieldgrove of Wolbach and one brother, Matt Fieldgrove of Yuma, Ariz.
Charlene Ludwick
LORETTO -- Charlene Ludwick, 75, of Loretto died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, at the BryanLGH East in Lincoln.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Loretto. The Rev. Terry Otto will officiate. Burial will be in the Rose Hill cemetery in Albion.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Levander Funeral Home in Albion.
Iva Mundschenk
ALBION -- Iva M. Mundschenk, 85, of Albion died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, at Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan in Albion.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion. The Rev. Larry Sydow will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery in Albion.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Levander Funeral Home in Albion.
James Welch
BARTLETT-- James L. Welch, 93, of Bartlett died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, at Jennie M. Melham Memorial Medical Center at Broken Bow.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bartlett United Methodist Church. The Rev. Cynthia Altstadt will officiate. Burial will be in the Bartlett Cemetery.
Visitation will be prior to service time Saturday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Bartlett Rescue Unit or the Bartlett United Methodist Church.
Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Nina Mae Wolfe
COMSTOCK-- Nina Mae Wolfe, 80, of Comstock died Feb. 26, 2001, at J.M. Melham Medical Center in Broken Bow.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Rhoad Funeral Chapel in Sargent. The Rev. Mark Crist will officiate. Burial will be in Douglas Grove cemetery in Comstock.
Visitation was held Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Mrs. Wolfe was born June 6, 1920, in Chanute, Kan., to Albert and Mary (Wilt) Green. She attended school in Stillwell, Kan., and graduated from there.
She married
Raymond Rogers on July 22, 1939, at Stillwell, Kan. They lived in Kansas, Missouri, Texas and Colorado.
She married
Raymond B. Wolfe in Grand Junction, Colo., on July 24, 1962. They lived in Grants, N.M., and Tucson, Ariz. They moved to Comstock in 1974.
She worked in retail sales and was a homemaker.
She attended the Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Velma (Mrs. Jim) Foral of Ord and Barbara (Mrs. Terry) Morris of Newport, Ohio; one son, Glenn Rogers of Junction City, Kan.; her stepson, Russell Wolfe of Texas; 4 stepdaughters, Lila Hoveland of Grants, N.M., Lucy Barczak and Barbara Wakefield, both of Miami, Fla., and Yvonne Walters of Grants, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Roberts of McLean, Va.; and two brothers, Larry Green of Seattle, Wash., and Charles Green of Casterville, Texas.
She was preceded in death by both of her husbands.
Burton Kleeb
LINCOLN -- Burton Kleeb, 81, of Lincoln died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until services Saturday, all at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Mr. Kleeb was born April 9, 1919, at Custer County to Adolph and Selma (Knudson) Kleeb. He was a former Broken Bow area farmer and a retired carpenter from Strauss Construction Co. in Lincoln. He served in the U.S. Army and was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Louise; two sons, Lynn Kleeb and Glen Kleeb, both of Lincoln; two daughters, Ann (Mrs. Ron) Schriner and Karen (Mrs. James) Haug, both of Lincoln; a brother, Myron Kleeb of Broken Bow; two sisters, Elaine Erickson of Broken Bow and Ruth (Mrs. Stan) Whaley of Salt Lake City, Utah; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Katie Norskov
NORFOLK -- Katie Ellen Norskov, 70, of Norfolk died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, at McAllen Medical Center in McAllen, Texas.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Norfolk. The Rev. Ron Holling will officiate.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Rose Hill cemetery in Albion.
Visitation was Wednesday at Levander Funeral Home in Albion.
Mrs. Norskov was born Jan. 15, 1931, at Albion to Mark Aaron and LaRena (Rieck) Woodworth. She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion on Aug. 7, 1932. She lived on a farm near Albion with her family. She was educated at a country school north of Albion and graduated from Albion High School in 1949. Following her graduation, she taught school for a year at Braddish School, east of Albion.
She married
Myron E. Norskov on June 4, 1950, at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion. They lived and farmed south of Albion for eight years, then north of St. Edward for four years. In early 1962, they purchased and operated the Newman Grove Cafe. In 1965, they moved to Norfolk where she worked at various jobs including Well's Dental Lab and Schweser's. The couple wintered in Rio Grand Valley for the last few years.
She loved to garden, cook and sew. She was a hospital volunteer and delivered Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Corinne (Mrs. Steve) Duncan of West Point, Jean (Mrs. Scott) Collison of Pierre, S.D., and Joni (Mrs. Jim) Beck of Norfolk; one son, Jim Norskov of Black Hawk, S.D.; her father, Mark Woodworth of Albion; seven grandchildren; one brother, Aaron "Woody" Woodworth of Columbus; and one sister, Goldie Ann Anderson of Sheridan, Wyo.
