Taylor Bode
PETERSBURG -- Taylor Ann Bode, infant daughter of Ted and Tammy (Klabenes) Bode of Petersburg, died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Raeville. The Rev. Tom Bauwens will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
There will be a rosary held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Levander Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Taylor was born on Feb. 13, 2001, at the Faith Regional Health Center in Norfolk.
Survivors include her parents; grandparents Jerry and Carol Bode of Petersburg and Marvin and Pam Klabenes of Neligh; and great-grandparents Flavion Luettel and Joe Bode, both of Petersburg and Ted and Lucille Allemang of Neligh.
Vieva Fryzek
ORD -- Vieva Fryzek, 81, of Ord, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at the Valley County Nursing Home in Ord.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ord Memorial Chapel. Burial will be the Ord Bohemian Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Ord Memorial Chapel.
Marjorie Seamann
BROKEN BOW -- Marjorie Ruth Tondreau Seamann, 82, of Broken Bow, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Broken Bow.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Broken Bow. Father Todd Philipsen will officiate. Burial will be in the Mason City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Govier Brothers Mortuary with a Christian wake service at 7 p.m. Monday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart or American Diabetes Foundation.
Mrs. Seamann was born Aug. 15, 1918, in the Stop Table Community near Callaway to Charles H. and Ella M. (Hall) Cox. She attended country schools and graduated from Callaway High School in 1936. After high school, she taught school for three years.
She married
Lewis Tondreau on May 30, 1939, in Broken Bow. They lived on a farm near Mason City and in the fall of 1960 they moved into Mason City. He died on Dec. 6, 1974.
In 1977, she moved to Broken Bow, where she worked as a nurses aid until 1983 at both Heritage Hall and Sandhills Manor nursing homes.
She married
Felix Seamann on July 14, 1984, in Oconto. The couple lived in Broken Bow.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Altar Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, Arrow Artist, and was an Avon dealer. She loved to sew, knit and crochet. She also enjoyed reading and painting.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Ed Tondrau of Riverdale; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Richard; four brothers, Ralph, Frank, Jim and Ed; and four sisters, Susie, Nellie, Amy and Lela.
I. James Fisher
OMAHA -- I. James Fisher, 75, of Omaha died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at his home.
Services are pending with Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell.
Clara Bumann
Clara A. Bumann, 95, of Grand Island died Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, at Park Place Health Care and Rehab Center of Grand Island.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred Gardner officiating. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the United Congregational Church.
Laura Mathiesen
Laura M. Mathiesen, 94, of Grand Island died Friday, Sept. 3, 1999, at Wedgewood Care Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. The Rev. Gretchen Diers will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be form 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.
Mrs. Mathiesen was born Dec. 25, 1904, to Henry and Magdalena (Lilienthal) Hinrichs on a farm near Milford. She grew up and received her education in Grand Island.
She married
Howard Adair in 1930. He died in 1932. She married
Harry Mathiesen on Dec. 10, 1949. He died Jan. 15, 1965.
She worked several years at Jessen Pharmacy. She also worked for more than 20 years as a maid at the Valentine Motel. She later provided care for several of her older sisters.
She enjoyed gardening. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Anita Brabander and one stepson, Jack Matthiesen, both of Grand Island; two step-grandchildren and one stepgreat-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters.
Gladys Walklin
Gladys Walklin, 89, of Grand Island died Thursday, Sept. 2, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Leo's Catholic Church. The Rev. Jack Rademacher will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the church with a Court Ave Maria Catholic Daughters rosary at 4 p.m. and a parish rosary at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the church.

Mrs. Walklin was born Dec. 12, 1909, to Carl and Emma (Kniebel) Schmedemann at Junction City, Kan. She grew up in Manhattan, Kan., and graduated from Manhattan High School. She went on to earn her degree from Kansas State University. She taught music education in Pawnee City from 1930 to 1935.
She married
Leonard Walklin on April 27, 1935, at Manhattan. Afterwhich the couple moved to Grand Island where they lived all of their married
lives. The couple owned and operated Walklin and Gestring Pharmacies from 1935 to 1970.
She was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Chapter EZ, PEO, and was a member of Catholic Daughters for more than 60 years of which she was a past grand regent. She also volunteered at the Red Cross Blood Mobile and at Central Catholic High School in the music education department. She was a former choir director at both St. Mary's Cathedral and at St. Leo's Catholic Church for a combined 46 years. She was a past president of the St. Francis Auxiliary. She was a 52-year member of Riverside Golf Course, serving as president of both the Riverside Women's Golf Association and as president of the Nebraska State Women's Golf Association.
Survivors include a son, Larry Walklin of Lincoln, and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 13, 1987; one sister, Erma Miller; two brothers, Clyde and Aubry Schmedemann and one daughter, Barbara.
