Agnes Hollingsworth
SARGENT -- Agnes R. Hollingsworth, 90, of Sargent, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at the Valley County Hospital in Ord.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sargent. The Rev. Bernard Berger will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery at Sargent.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. at the Rhoad Funeral Home in Sargent with a wake service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice or for masses.
Glen Liebhart
ST. PAUL -- Glen E. Liebhart, 76, of St. Paul died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, at Park Place Care Center in Grand Island.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grand Island. The Rev. Martin Schmidt will officiate. A family prayer service will be at 9:45 a.m. in the chapel of the church. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 5 to 6 p.m., Friday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the church or Heartland Lutheran High School.
Larry Rathjen
HAZARD -- Larry Rathjen, 63, of Hazard, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ravenna. The Rev. Steven Schlund will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Park cemetery in Ravenna.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the church. Rasmussen Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rathjen was born March 27, 1937 in Sweetwater to Henry and Freda (Gruber) Rathjen. He attended elementary school in Newberg and graduated from Ravenna High School in 1954.
He served in the United States Army in Germany from Feb. 2, 1956 to Jan. 17, 1958.
He married
Marietta Chramosta on Sept. 17, 1966 at Loup City. The couple lived in Sweetwater where he worked as a mail carrier and a farmer. He retired on March 27, 1992 as a mail carrier and farmed and worked as an auctioneer until his health failed.
He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Doug of Osceola; one daughter, Sheila Theeson of Kearney; three brothers, Bob of Lincoln, Ron of Grand Island and Russ of Kearney; two sisters, Jeanene Melton and Doris Russell, both of Ravenna; and four granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
Martha Dankert
SEWARD -- Martha E. Dankert, 91, of Seward, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward. The Rev. Ted Janzow will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Central City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Volzke Funeral Home in Seward with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Further visitation will be one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to St. John Lutheran Church, Concordia University or Alzheimer Association.
Mrs. Dankert was born April 17, 1909, at Irvington to Gustav and Lizzie (Wilke) Heitzmann.
She served as administrative secretary for Concordia Teachers College at Seward for 27 years.
Survivors include three sons, Paul of Sunnyvale, Calif., Roger of Baltimore and Mark of Placitas, N.M.; one daughter, Lois (Mrs. Robert) Ourado of Omaha; two grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
James Frazier
BELLEVUE -- James Brian Frazier, 48, of Bellevue died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2000, following a yearlong battle with leukemia.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bellevue.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Friday at Bellevue Memorial Chapel. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the church.
Mr. Frazier was born on Dec. 26, 1951, in Gothenburg to James B. and Cynthia Ann (More) Frazier. He graduated from Cozad High School in 1970 and Kearney State College in 1974.
He married
Juliette Elizabeth Clinch of North Platte on Aug. 10, 1974. They lived in Bellvue. He worked for Mutual of Omaha from 1974 to 1976 and was a real estate agent for Century 21 before becoming an Allstate insurance agent on May 28, 1984. He received many professional achievement awards from Allstate and a number of certificates in recognition of continuing professional education, such as Life Underwriting Training Council.
Mr. Frazier was part owner of Family Network and BLP JR Calling Card Cos.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, a children's liturgy catechist and past president of the board of education. He was an Eagle Scout and a past scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 305 in Bellevue. He was an adult leader for the Philmont Trek during the summer of 1999. He continued to serve as a troop committee member until his death. The Boy Scouts of America named him a Century Member in 1996.
He was a member of the Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce. He was awarded the Friends of the Firemen Award this month by the Plattsmouth Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Mathew; a daughter, Christina; his parents, of Cozad; and a sister, Becky (Mrs. Bob) Junker of Grand Island.
Sally Kapustka
ELKHORN -- Sally Kapustka, 85, of Elkhorn, formerly of Ord, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1999, at Elkhorn Manor.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord. The Rev. Jim Warner will officiate. Burial will be in the Ord Catholic Cemetery.
Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the church.
Mrs. Kapustka was born Jan. 14, 1914, at Genoa to Francis and Anna (Dubas) Shotkoski. She attended rural country school in Ord.
She married
Frank Kapustka on May 20, 1936, in Ord. The couple lived in Ord, where they owned and operated Frank's Standard Oil Station. Mr. Kapustka died April 22, 1987. Mrs. Kapustka remained in Ord until 1992, when she moved to the Crown Point Retirement Center in Omaha.
She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church where she was active in the altar society.
Survivors include a son, Dr. F. Donald Kapps of St. Paul, Minn.; a daughter, Joan (Mrs. John) Fangman of Omaha; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Martha McBeth of Pueblo, Colo., Alice Krolikowski of Loup City and Dorothy Micek of Elyria.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Petersen; one infant daughter; and five brothers, Ted, Syl, Raymond, Floyd and Leonard.
