Allona Case
COLLINS, Mo. -- Allona F. Case, 60, of Collins, Mo., formerly of Arcadia, died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident west of Collins.
Services took place March 23 in the Murray Chapel in Humansville, Mo., with the Rev. Wilton Jeter officiating. Burial was in the Freeman-Holsapple Cemetery.
Murray Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Case was born Sept. 10, 1940, in Arcadia to Charles O. and Fern Holmes Gregg. She was a resident of Collins since 1983. She was a homemaker and member of the Humansville Congregation of Jehovah's Witness.
Survivors include her children, Margo Richards, Myron Case, Loren Case and Jesse Case, all of Collins; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, Thomas Gregg of North Platte, Frank Gregg and James Gregg, both of Collins, Mo.; and six sisters, Colleen Johnson and Charlene Johnson, both of Warsaw, Mo., Marilyn Richey of Sedalia, Mo., LaDawn Burson of Calhoun, Mo., Ramona Bredthauer of Hastings, Mo., and LoQueeta Stultz of Mora, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles Gregg and David Gregg; and one sister, Audrey Bodenhamer.
Sister Eileen Byrne
ST. CATHARINE, Ky. -- Sister Eileen Marie Byrne, 81, of St. Catharine, Ky., formerly of Elsi, died Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at the Sansbury Care Center on the grounds of the Motherhouse of the Dominicans of St. Catharine.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Sansbury Care Center Chapel at St. Catharine. Burial will follow in the St. Catharine Motherhouse Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Sansbury Care Center Chapel.
Memorials are suggested to the Dominican Sisters, Office for Ministry Support.

A Dominican of St. Catharine, Ky., for 55 years, Sister Eileen Marie taught at St. Patrick in Missouri Valley, Iowa, from 1946 to 1950; St. John in Lima, Ohio, from 1950 to 1951; St. Cecilia in Hastings from 1951 to 1953; St. James in Kearney from 1953 to 1957; Nativity in Memphis, Tenn., from 1957 to 1958; St. Mary in Omaha from 1958 to 1962; St. Luke in Ogallala from 1962 to 1963; Spalding Academy in Spalding from 1963 to 1965; St. Mary in Bellevue from 1965 to 1966; Sacred Heart in Greeley from 1967 to 1969; St. Bartholomew in Chicago, Ill., from 1969 to 1971; St. Cecilia in Hastings from 1971 to 1976; St. Patrick in McCook from 1976 to 1980; St. James and John in McMechen, W.Va., from 1980 to 1982; Sacred Heart in Jeffersonville, Ind., from 1982 to 1983; and at St. Dominic in Springfield, Ky, from 1983 to 1988.
Sister Eileen Marie became a resident of Sansbury Care Center on March 30, 2000.
Survivors include one sister, Joan Witherspoon of Ammsville, Ore.; and one brother, Tom Byrne of Denton, Mont.
Fred Daniels
Fred A. Daniels, 79, of Grand Island, formerly of Ewing, died Sunday, May 30, 1999, at Grand Island.
Services were Friday at the United Methodist Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) in Ewing. The Rev. Gail Zoya officiated. Burial was in the Ewing Cemetery.
Huffman's Snider Chapel of Clearwater was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Daniels was born Oct. 23, 1919, to John and Mary Ann (Walters) Daniels at Ewing. He grew up on his parents' farm south of Ewing and attended the District No. 131 School. He graduated from Ewing High School.
After his graduation he farmed with his father for a number of years and was also in the livestock and trucking business for several years.
In 1988, he moved to Grand Island and was living at Centennial Towers at the time of his death.
Survivors include an aunt, Theresa Walters of O'Neill.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Eva, in infancy.
Dan Hellbusch
BELGRADE -- Dan C. Hellbusch, 56, of Belgrade died Friday, June 4, 1999, at his farm in Belgrade.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Peace Lutheran Church in Belgrade. The Revs. Timothy Wagner and Paul Rowoldt will officiate. Burial will be in the Peace Lutheran cemetery in Belgrade.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday and from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Palmer Funeral Home in Fullerton.
Mr. Hellbusch was born Feb. 24, 1943, on the family farm southwest of Belgrade to Theodore and Olga (Hoffman) Hellbusch. He attended Redwing Grade School near Belgrade and graduated in 1961 from Fullerton High School. He then attended Kearney State College for one year and then farmed on the family farm.
He married
Donna Kaye Rother on Oct. 12, 1968. The couple made their home on the family farm southwest of Belgrade. The couple owned and operated Frontier Saloon in Belgrade for five years.
He was a member of the Belgrade Fire Department for 15 years and farmed for 33 years. He was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church and the Fullerton Eagles Club.
He enjoyed animals, gardening, tractors and planting trees.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Danene (Mrs. Troy) Miller of Lincoln and Danelle Hellbusch of Elgin; one granddaughter; and two sisters, Marian (Mrs. Russ) Reeder of Hollister, Mo., and Betty Plumbtree of Fullerton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Donna Horacek; and one brother, Carl.
'Jerry' Orcutt
ALDA -- Gerald "Jerry" C. Orcutt, Sr., 53, of Alda died Wednesday, June 2, 1999, as a result of a drowning accident at the Sherman County Reservoir in Sherman County.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Island. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Rulo cemetery in Rulo.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Mr. Orcutt was born May 26, 1946, at Falls City to Earl and RoseMarie (Manola) Orcutt. He went to school in Falls City. He joined the U.S. Army on Aug. 28, 1967, and served in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged on Aug. 27, 1970.
He married
Sharon Leak on July 23, 1966. He later married
Wilma Lee on Aug. 15, 1986. He lived in the Lincoln area until moving to Alda.
He was employed by the Burlington Northern Railroad until his retirement in 1998.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the Eagles 378, the VFW and the DAV.
He enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include four sons, Gary of Omaha, Christopher, Gerald Jr., and Joseph all of Grand Island; four daughters, Sherry Holmes and Bobbi Jo Moreno both of Grand Island, Stephanie Orcutt and Ashlie Orcutt, both of Alda; nine grandchildren; and three brothers, Carl and Edward, both of Renton, Wash., and Eugene of Kent, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter Samantha Orcutt; a sister, Leona May Cahow; and a brother Richard.
Gertrude Russell
CENTRAL CITY -- Gertrude Russell, 86, of Central City died Saturday, June 5, 1999, at the Longterm Care in Central City.
