Pamela Stark
URBANDALE, Iowa -- Pamela A. Stark, 43, of Urbandale, Iowa, died of lung cancer Monday, Aug. 16, 1999, at her home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Urbandale. Burial will be in McDivitt Grove cemetery in Urbandale.
Westover Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to PEO Chapter CJ.
Mrs. Stark was born in Ogallala to Robert and Mary Chase. She grew up in Grand Island. She had lived in the Urbandale area for 20 years. She was a loan officer for Principal Credit Union.
She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, PEO Chapter CJ and Kappa Kappa Gamma. She volunteered for Churches United Homeless Shelter.
Survivors include her husband, Mark; one daughter, Kristin Stark at home; one son, Greg Stark at home; her parents, of Grand Island; two sisters, Cheryl (Mrs. Steve) Rector of Overland Park, Kan., and Anne (Mrs. Dave) Zoller of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and one brother, Bill Chase of Clayton, Calif.
Josephine Beberniss
Josephine I. Beberniss, 78, of Grand Island died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000 at Park Place Health Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m., with family receiving friends from 4 to 6, Sunday at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Jack Bydalek
Jack L. Bydalek, 64, of Grand Island, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000, at St. Francis Skilled Care in Grand Island.
Services are pending with Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home.
Sharon VanWey
Sharon Kay VanWey, 48, of Grand Island, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, from injuries received in a vehicle/pedestrian accident.
Services are pending with Kleine Funeral Home.
Andrew Grabowski
LOUP CITY -- Andrew Grabowski, 93, of Loup City died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, at his home in Loup City.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Josaphat's Catholic Church in Loup City. The Rev. Reginald A. Urban will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery in Loup City.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at the church with a vigil service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
James McCarville
ORD -- James E. McCarville, 52, of rural Ord died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Josaphat's Catholic Church in Loup City. The Rev. Reginald A. Urban will officiate.
Mr. McCarville will be cremated after the service. A private family burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery in Loup City.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church with a 7:30 p.m. vigil service.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.

Grace Prowett
CENTRAL CITY -- Grace B. Prowett, 97, of Central City, formerly of Palmer, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000, at IHS in Central City.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Palmer Funeral Home in Palmer. The Rev. Jerry Quandt will officiate. Burial will be in the Rose Hill cemetery in Palmer.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial are suggested to the donors' choice.
Mrs. Prowett was born May 2, 1903 at Atlantic, Iowa, to Joseph and Rosella (Clark) Shirey. At an early age she moved with her family to Keyha Paha County and then to Merrick County in 1907. She attended District 36 School and Palmer Public School.
She married
Harold Prowett on May 31, 1924, in Grand Island. From 1936 to 1963, the couple managed the Merrick County Poor Farm in Central City. Mrs. Prowett also worked at the Soldiers and Sailors Home as an aide.
Mr. Prowett died in 1972.
In 1987, Mrs. Prowett moved in with her daughter and son-in-law Pauline and Richard Maciejewski. She moved to Central City in 1991.
She was a member of the First Church of Christ in Palmer and was past president of the Rebekah Lodge No. 26.
She enjoyed working at the senior center and helping with the Special Olympics. She also enjoyed playing cards, bingo and all types of games.
Survivors include two sisters, Muriel Shaver of Lebanon, Ore. and Dorothy (Mrs. Harold) Morris of Palmer, one grandson and one great-grandson.
Other than her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Pauline Maciejewski; four sisters, Nancy Butler, Ethel Shirey, Inez Ward and Mildred Reils; four brothers, Earl, Oral, Kenneth and LeRoy Shirey; and an infant granddaughter.
Raymond Robles
OMAHA -- Raymond Robles, 73, of Omaha, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2000, in Omaha.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Brewer Korisko Chapel in Omaha. A 9:30 a.m. funeral mass will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Burial will be in the St. Mary Magdalene cemetery with military honors by V.F.W. Post 2704.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Brewer Korisko mortuary with a 6:30 p.m. rosary.
Memorials are suggested to the Columbian Fathers.
Mr. Robles was a member of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church for 50 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; one son Chris; four daughters, Cathy (Mrs. C.D.) Duran, Josie (Mrs. Bill) Saner, Mercie (Mrs. Ed) Zuehlke and Mary Ellen (Mrs. Randy) Feller; and seven grandchildren.
