Kenneth Sanderson
CENTRAL CITY -- Kenneth D. "Kenny" Sanderson, 86, of Central City died Saturday, Dec. 25, 1999, at Litzenberg Long-Term Care in Central City.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Solt Funeral Home in Central City. Burial will be in Mamre Evangelical cemetery near Marquette.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Sanderson was born on April 8, 1913, near Marquette to Alfred and Amanda (Anderson) Sanderson. He attended a rural Hamilton County school.
He did farm work and then went to the West Coast, where he worked as a ship fitter in the ship yards. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946. After his discharge, he and his brother, John Sanderson, operated a service station in Omaha. They returned to Central Nebraska in 1949 and worked in partnership in Sanderson Brothers Construction in Central City.
He managed rental properties in Central City until his health failed. He moved to Long-Term Care in Central City four months ago.
Mr. Sanderson enjoyed fishing, horse shoes and building things.
Survivors include one brother, John of Central City; and four sisters, Anna McIntosh of Marquette, Selma Thomsen and Algene Hopkins, both of Omaha, and Dorothy Retzlaff of Arcadia, Calif.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Carl, Albert, Harold, Rueben and Leonard; two sisters, Christine Bunch and Carrie Lindblom; one foster brother; and one foster sister.
Kailey Struckman
ORD -- Kailey Ann Struckman, infant daughter of Craig and Cindy Struckman, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 1999, en route to Children's Hospital in Omaha due to heart complications.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Ord United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jim Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Ord City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at Ord Memorial Chapel.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Hazle Vance
BROKEN BOW -- Hazle I. Vance, 85, of Broken Bow died Friday, Dec. 24, 1999, at Jennie M. Melham Memorial Medical Center in Broken Bow.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ansley cemetery with Pastor Jim Stark officiating.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow.
Mrs. Vance was born on July 30, 1914, at Walworth to Walter Wilbur and Lola V. (Ellis) Allen. She attended school at Goose Valley near Berwyn and Pleasant Ridge near Broken Bow.
She married
Herbert Vance on Nov. 28, 1939. They lived in the Broken Bow, Cairo, Berwyn and Weissert areas before retiring and moving to Broken Bow about 1977. Mr. Vance died on Nov. 10, 1981.
Mrs. Vance enjoyed crocheting, needlework and quilting.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Marie (Mrs. Paul) Willenberg of Lewellen and Sharon Vance of Broken Bow; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Evelyn Bartlett of Gothenburg.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Carol Braden
LEXINGTON -- Carol Jean Braden, 49, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999, at her home in rural Lexington.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church in Lexington. The Rev. Larry Kline will officiate. Burial will be in Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens in North Platte.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington.
Memorials are suggested to the Special Olympics.
Bernard English
LINCOLN -- Bernard L. English, 66, of Lincoln, formerly of Wood River, died Friday, Dec. 24, 1999, at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wood River. The Rev . Ray Kosmicki will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park cemetery in Grand Island.
A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the church. There will be no visitation.
Memorials are suggested to American Legion Post 314 in Wood River.
Apfel Funeral Home of Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
Stanley Hulinsky
ORD -- Stanley Eldon Hulinsky Sr., 58, of Ord died Saturday, Dec. 25, 1999, at the Valley County Hospital in Ord.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel Baptist Church in Ord. The Rev. Rob Stiner will officiate. Burial will be in the Ord City Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Ord Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ord Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Hulinsky was born on Dec. 18, 1941, at Burwell to Mike and Alice (Bruha) Hulinsky. He grew up in Burwell, where he attended school. He graduated from Burwell High School in 1960. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the Vietnam War from 1961 to 1965.
He married
Mary Lou Kirby on Feb. 17, 1968, at Ord. The couple lived on a farm near Burwell. They moved into Ord in 1985.
Mr. Hulinsky had worked for the North Loup Irrigation District for the last 20 years.
He was a member of the VFW. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and polka music.
Survivors includes his wife; two sons, Timothy of Ravenna and Stanley Jr. of Ord; three daughters, Janet Hulinsky of Ord and Wanda Hulinsky and Rachel Hulinsky, both of Grand Island; 10 grandchildren; his father, of Burwell; three brothers, Vincent of Burwell, Raymond of Albion and Lumir of Lincoln; and one sister, Edith Burson of Holdrege.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Larry Hulinsky; an infant daughter, Katrina Hulinsky; and his mother.
