Eva Adams
CENTRAL CITY -- Eva K. Adams, 97, of Central City, formerly of Belgrade, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, at the Litzenberg Longterm Care Unit in Central City.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Palmer Funeral Home in Fullerton. The Rev. Jurdan Counts will officiate. Burial will be in the Main cemetery near Belgrade.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Anna Kirby
ORD -- Anna Kirby, 95, of Ord, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2001, at the Valley County Hospital in Ord.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Ord Bethany Lutheran Church. Pastor Robert Caldwell will officiate. Burial will be in the Ord City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Ord Memorial Chapel.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the donor's choice.

Robert Moss
CAIRO -- Robert Moss, 63, of Cairo died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, at his home in Cairo.
Services are pending with the Apfel Funeral Home of Cairo.
Larie Sartin
TUCSON, ARIZ. -- Larie Ida Tucker Sartin, 83, of Tucson, Ariz., died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2001, in Tucson.
Private services were held in Tucson, Ariz.
Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
Mrs. Sartin was born on Nov. 3, 1918, at Decauterville, Tenn.
She married
James Sartin on May 19, 1940, in Tupelo, Miss.
She lived in Grand Island from 1954 to 1977 where she was an avid golfer at the Riverside Golf Course and belonged to a bowling league and bridge club at the Liederkranz.
Survivors include her husband; two sons and one daughter-in-law, James Sartin Jr., and William and Sandra Sartin; three daughters, Janet Green, Elizabeth George, and Sarah Duffy; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Anna Johnson
GIBBON -- Anna B. Johnson, 96, of Gibbon, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001 at the Gibbon Good Samaritan Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shelton. The Rev. Paul Colling will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Wenceslaus cemetery following the lunch at the church.
Visitation will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. with a vigil service from 6:30 to 7 p.m. at the Godberson Mortuary in Gibbon. Memorials are suggested to the Gibbon Emergency Unit or the Good Samaritan Center in Gibbon.
Mrs. Johnson was born Feb. 2, 1905 on a farm north of Gibbon to Frank and Anna (Raymond) Skala. She grew up there and attended rural school.
She married
Fred V. Johnson on May 5, 1936 in Gibbon. The couple lived on the Skala family farm and moved into Gibbon in December of 1980. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Altar Society of Shelton.
Survivors include one niece and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers; and two sisters.
Rex Crawford
AINSWORTH -- Rex Crawford, 86, of Ainsworth died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, at Brown County Hospital in Ainsworth.
Services were Dec. 22 at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Ainsworth. The Rev. Jon Finster officiated. Burial was in the Clay Center cemetery in Clay Center with the Rev. Stan Crawford officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the Shriner's Hospital.
Hoch Funeral Home of Ainsworth was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Crawford was born July 25, 1915, to Verne and Gertrude Crawford in Doniphan. He attended a rural elementary school and Doniphan High School. He continued his education at Hastings College, graduating with a bachelor's degree in education in 1937. He began teaching in the Rosedale Community School System after graduation.
He married
Leila Massie on Oct. 25, 1940, at the Methodist Church in Salina, Kan. In 1942, he entered the Army serving during World War II. He was honorably discharged at the rank of sergeant in 1945.
Upon arriving home, he continued his education and obtained a master's degree in administration from Kearney State College in 1960. He returned to teaching as an administrator in the Hampton School System. The couple moved to Ainsworth in 1973 where he served as elementary principal until his retirement in 1977.
He was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Ainsworth and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife; a son, David of Omaha; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Max.
Elmer Hatch
Elmer F. Hatch, 81, of Grand Island died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, at the Tiffany Square Care Center after a five-week illness.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Gollaher Chapel at Trinity United Methodist Church. The Revs. Jim Keyser and Onamae Waddel will officiate. Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park cemetery at a later date. He donated his body to the State of Nebraska Anatomical Board in Omaha.
There will be no visitation.
Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials are suggested to the church or Grand Island Woman's Club.
Survivors include his wife, Arletta Hatch; a daughter and son-in-law, Charlene and Larry Bolling of Haines, Ore.; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Bev Hatch of Grand Island; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Frances Hatch of Hayes, Kan.; and a sister and brother-in-law, Edith and Alex VonStade of Middletown, Calif.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank.
'Randy' Jeppesen
49, Pharmacist
Randall "Randy" L. Jeppesen, 49, of Grand Island died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, at his home due to illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Kleine Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Bill Forbes will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to St. Francis Hospice Association.
Mr. Jeppesen was born July 20, 1952, at Arnold to Kenneth and Darlene (Jensen) Jeppesen. As a young boy he moved to Hastings and graduated from Hastings Senior High School in 1970. He attended the University of Oklahoma at Norman, Okla., graduating in 1976 with a degree in pharmacy.
He worked at Duncan, Okla., for three years and then moved back to Nebraska where he lived and worked in Lexington for a year. He then moved to Grand Island where he worked as a pharmacist for Allen's Pharmacy and was the pharmacy manager for the Nebraska Veteran's Home for the last 16 years
He was a member of the Christian faith and a pharmacy fraternity. He enjoyed motorcycles, boating, skiing, mountains, music and being with his family.
Survivors include his parents of Grand Island; a sister and brother-in-law, Jodene "Jody" and Kenneth Stoks of Phoenix; and a niece and caretaker, Kendra Stoks of Phoenix.
