Geneva Carter
SILVER CREEK -- Geneva N. Carter, 97, of Silver Creek, died Monday, July 23, 2001, at the Community Long Term Care in Genoa.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Silver Creek Cemetery. The Rev. Beverly Minor will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to the Long Term Care in Genoa or the Silver Creek United Methodist Church.
Solt Funeral Home in Central City is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Carter was born Dec. 30, 1903, in Merrick County to Eugene and Dolly (Hartman) Finecy. She attended school in Merrick County.
She married
George L. Carter on Dec. 20, 1926, on a bridge between Polk County and Merrick County. The couple farmed near Silver Creek. Her husband died in 1977. She continued living on the family farm until moving to the Community Long Term Care in Genoa in 1996.
She was a member of the Fairview Methodist Church of Silver Creek where she was a longtime organist. She was very active on the Litzenberg Memorial County Hospital Board and a self-taught artist.
Survivors include a brother, Cedric Finecy of Osceola; daughter-in-law Katherine Carter of Central City; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Gail and Lenis Gene; a grandson; and several brothers and sisters.
Ross Druliner Jr.
88, Attorney
AURORA -- Ross D. Druliner Jr., 88, of Aurora died Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at Hamilton Manor in Aurora.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Aurora. Dr. Joe Scahill will officiate. There will be a private family inurnment.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials are suggested to the Aurora United Methodist Church or the Shriner's Hospital.

Mr. Druliner was born April 13, 1913, at Benkelman to Ross and Josie M. (Dennon) Druliner Sr. He graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University and University of Michigan Law School. He practiced law in Benkelman for 40 years. He served numerous terms as Dundy County attorney.
He was a member of the Nebraska Bar Association and Southwest Nebraska Bar Association. He was a former member of Nebraska Land Title Association, serving as its president in 1970. He served on the Nebraska Abstract Examiner's Board. He was also a member of the Aurora Masonic Lodge No. 68, Tehama Temple Shrine of Hastings, Order of the Eastern Star No. 93 and the United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sarah of Aurora; two sons, Ed of Toledo, Ohio, and Doug of Denver, Colo.; a daughter, Anita Kitt of Parks; three stepdaughters, Kathy Pollard of Overland Park, Kan., and Patty Newman and Debe Merrick, both of Aurora; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Jerome Druliner of Lincoln; and two sisters, Elaine Ehresmann of Riverside, Calif., and Shirley O'Connor of Denver, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Zorn Druliner; a brother, Glenn; and two sisters, Berniece Gorthy and Frances Druliner.
La Vada Blackburn

CENTENNIAL, Colo. -- La Vada A. Blackburn, 69, of Centennial, Colo., died July 2001 in Denver.
Services were at Rocky Mountain Community Church in Front Ridge, Colo. She was cremated.
Mrs. Blackburn was born Dec. 15, 1931, at Loup City.
She married
Ross Roach in 1951. They lived in Grand Island and had two children, Richard and Randall. She worked as a bookkeeper for Cates Tire Co., U.S.F.G. and the Fonner race track. They were divorced in 1973.
She married
Albert Blackburn on Dec. 14, 1981, in Whitefish, Mont. She also worked for Albert Blackburn and Herbert Knickrehm Insurance in the Equitable Building.
She enjoyed golfing and bowling.
Survivors include two sons, Randall Roach of Broomfield, Colo., and Richard Roach of Centennial, Colo.; a sister, Bertha Working of Banning, Calif.; two brothers, Jerome Grudzinski, Rapid City, S.D., and Leonard Grudzinski of Central City; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert.
Maxine Blackburn
82, Retired bookkeeper
LAKEWOOD, Colo. -- Maxine A. Blackburn, 82, of Lakewood, Colo., died June 24, 2001, in Lakewood.
Services were at Olinger Wadsworth Mortuary. She was cremated.
Mrs. Blackburn was born Oct. 5, 1918, at Mitchell.
Survivors include a daughter, Judi King of Lakewood; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Max Reyes
BRADENTON, Fla. -- Max E. Reyes, 51, of Bradenton, Fla., died Tuesday, July 24, 2001.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. James Catholic Church in Kearney. The Rev. Tim Stoner will officiate. Burial will be in Kearney Cemetery.
Vigil will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to St. James Catholic Church or Mt. Carmel Nursing Home of Kearney.

Mr. Reyes was born June 16, 1950, at Lexington. He graduated from Holdrege High School in 1968 . He also graduated from Bernell College of Hairstyling in Ft. Collins, Colo.
Survivors include his daughter, Cassandra; parents, Frank and Jessie Reyes of Kearney; and four sisters and brothers-in-law, Susie and Dan McElvain of Holdrege, Peggy and Tom Geer of Omaha, Chris and Mark Vogt of Lincoln and Kathy and Zenon Rivera III of Grand Island.
Iola Hayman
Iola Hayman, 69, of Grand Island died Friday, June 25, 1999, at the Lakeview Nursing/Rehab Center of Grand Island.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Grand Island. Bishop Michael McCain will officiate. Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
Survivors include three sons, Rory of Grand Island, Richard of Springtown, Texas, and Daniel of Colorado Springs; two daughters, Jackie of Torrence, Calif., and Wendy Fuller of Des Moines, Iowa; six brothers, George Wilson of Blair, Robert Wilson of Omaha, Gerald Wilson of Aurora, Ronald Wilson of Aurora, Jim Wilson of Lincoln and John Wilson of Aurora; six sisters, Luella Wieczorek of Grand Island, Shirley Wieczorek of Aurora, Sharon Alvis of Grand Island, Carlotte Monson of Grand Island, Connie May of Hastings and Linda Pirckett of McCook; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Wendall and Roland, and three sisters.

CENTRAL CITY -- Frank J. Gonsior, 71, of Central City died Thursday, June 24, 1999, at Litzenberg Memorial County Hospital in Central City.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Central City. The Rev. Nelson Newman will officiate. Burial will be in the Clarks Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Michael's Catholic Church with a vigil at 7 p.m. Sunday at the church.
