Edgar Coffman
BROKEN BOW -- Edgar M. Coffman, 83, of Broken Bow died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Broken Bow.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. The Rev. Jerry Ruzicka will officiate. Burial will be in the Ansley Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
A memorial has been established to the Ansley cemetery fund.
Mr. Coffman was born July 8, 1916, six miles south of Berwyn to James and Bessie (Price) Coffman. He attended Happy Hollow School District No. 116.
He married
Hazel Staab Aug. 10, 1936, in Broken Bow. The couple lived west of Broken Bow, where they farmed and ranched for 20 years. They later moved to Loup City, where Mr. Coffman worked as a brand inspector in Sherman and Custer Counties.
The couple also lived in Ansley, then moved to Broken Bow in 1969. Mr. Coffman worked for the Broken Bow Parks Dept. and the Burn Site Dept. until his retirement.
He was a member of the Ansley Baptist Church, a school board member of District 74, served on the Custer County Fair Board and Central Nebraska Hereford Association, a 4-H leader of the Busy Bee Baby Beef Club, and a member of the Broken Bow Elks Lodge 1688.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel of Broken Bow; two sons, Gary Coffman of Batesburg, S. C., and Harlan Coffman of Carleton; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Don.
Eugene Kolar
PALMER -- Eugene Kolar, 49, of Palmer died Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999, at Howard County Hospital in St. Paul.
Services are pending with the Ord Memorial Chapel.
Rosamond Murphy
GREELEY -- Rosamond Murphy, 82, of Greeley died Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999, at the Greeley Care Home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Greeley. The Rev. Gerald Carlson will officiate. Burial will be at the O'Connor Cemetery. T.J. Finn and Sons Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a rosary at 7 p.m. at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the church.
Helen Thieszen
HENDERSON -- Helen Thieszen, 87, of Henderson died Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999, at the Henderson Care Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Bethesda Mennonite Church in Henderson. The Rev. John L. Yoder-Schrock and the Rev. Weldon R. Martens will officiate. Burial will be in the Bethesda Mennonite Cemetery. Lewis Funeral Home Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Monday at the Lewis Funeral Chapel.
A memorial fund has been established to the Henderson Care Center.
Mrs. Thieszen was born Jan. 7, 1912, at rural Henderson to Heinrich G. and Katharina (Buller) Epp.
She married
Aaron E. Thieszen Dec. 7, 1933, in Henderson. The couple farmed near Henderson until their retirement in 1967, when they moved into town. After retirement, Mr. and Mrs. Thieszen did cleaning for area businesses.
Mr. Thieszen died on April 27, 1987.
She was a member of Senior Singers and the Cheerful Homemakers Club. She was also a member of the Bethesda Mennonite Church, where she was a member of Mission Circle One.
Survivors include three daughters, Nina (Mrs. Lyle) Smith of Grand Island, Marcella (Mrs. Wilbur) Martens of Inman, Kan., Lela (Mrs. Calvin) Regier of Henderson; five sons, Lelan Thieszen of Henderson, Dean Thieszen of Aurora, Erland Thieszen of Henderson, James Thieszen of Lincoln and Glenden Thieszen of Palmer Lake, Colo.; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Agnes Cantrell of Henderson.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by ten brothers; and five sisters.
Margaret Ineck
LINCOLN -- Margaret Mary Ineck, 83, of Lincoln died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lincoln. A rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be at Lincoln Memorial Park.
Memorials are suggested to the family or the American Diabetes Association.
Mrs. Ineck was born Sept. 11, 1916, at Inland to Charles and Mary (Samson) Lienert.
She was employed as a stenographer for the State of Nebraska; with Miller and Paine department stores of Lincoln; and in food service at Lincoln Public Schools.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph M. Ineck of Lincoln; a daughter, Janet Doulas of Lincoln; a son, Thomas J. Ineck of Lincoln; a brother, Eugene Lienert of Kearney; and two sisters, Louise (Mrs. Myron) Siefken of Ft. Collins, Colo. and Bernice (Mrs. Harry) Joy of Portland, Ore.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Joseph and Edward; and a sister, Marie Vetter.
Walter Guenther
Walter H. Guenther, 91, of Grand Island died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001, at Beverly Healthcare at Lakeview.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the All Faiths Funeral Home. Entombment will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with the family greeting friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
Helen Stahlnecker
Helen L. Stahlnecker, 69, of Grand Island died Monday, Aug. 20, 2001, at her home.
Services are pending with Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home.
Mary Baumgartner
PETERSBURG -- Mary T. Baumgartner, 95, of Petersburg died Friday, Aug. 17, 2001 at her daughter's home in Perham, Minn.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church in Petersburg with the Rev. Frank Baumert officiating. Burial will be in the St. John's Parish Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Levander Funeral Home of Albion is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Baumgartner was born March 27, 1906, near Petersburg to John and Anna Mary (Koch) Majerus.
She married
Joseph J. (J.J.) Baumgartner on April 26, 1933, in Petersburg. They farmed west of Petersburg until 1963 when they moved to Petersburg.
She enjoyed the outdoors and flowers.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Anna Mary Carrlson of New York Mills, Minn., and Elizabeth Joan and John Werner of Perham, Minn; two sons and daughters-in-law, Peter and Helen Baumgartner of Petersburg and Joseph Richard and Flor Baumgartner of Columbia, South America; one sister, Elizabeth Voichahoske; 25 grandchildren; and 62 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, Joseph, John and Peter Majerus; a son-in-law, John Carrlson; one grandson and two great-grandsons.
