Lois Kemp
Lois I. Kemp, 71, of Grand Island died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, at Beverly Healthcare at Lakeview.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church in Grand Island. The Rev. Daniel Bremer will officiate. A private family burial will be at 1:30 p.m. at Cedar View cemetery in Doniphan.
There will be no visitation. Mrs. Kemp was cremated.
Kleine Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Kemp was born June 29, 1930, to Lewis and Edna (Garwood) Burr at Argo, Minn. Her family moved to Nebraska when she was 2 months old. She grew up and was educated at Thedford and graduated there.
She married
Warren "Bill" Kemp on Aug. 28, 1949, at Alliance. They later moved to Seneca. Because of Mr. Kemp's occupation, the family moved to several different towns in Nebraska. They moved to Grand Island in 1954. Late in the 1960s, she worked at the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant west of Grand Island. She later worked at many other jobs until she retired.
She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church. She was also a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 300 at Doniphan and was a Gold Star Mother there also.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, M. Glenn and Christine Kemp of Hastings, Randy and Cynthia Kemp of Grand Island and Mark Kemp of Grand Island; a daughter-in-law, Kathleen Kemp LeFabar of Deforest, Wis.; four grandchildren; six brothers, Leonard Burr of Pyrneville, Ore., Willard Burr of Loveland, Colo., Alfred Burr of Arnold, Alex Burr of Sidney, Virgil Burr of San Diego, Calif., Vernon Burr of Pyrneville, Ore.; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Forest Burr of Security, Colo.; and one sister, Lucille Bruce of Seneca.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Richard Kemp; and one brother, Forest Burr.
Catherine Eckhoff
KEARNEY -- Catherine M. Eckhoff, 97, of Kearney died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001, at the Mother Hull Home in Kearney.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Kearney cemetery with Sister Mary Chamberlain officiating.
No visitation is planned.
Godberson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Eckhoff was born Dec. 2, 1903, in Alexandria, S.D., to Paul and Mary Ann (Reisdorff) Giltz. The family moved to Butler County and then to a farm southwest of Gibbon where she attended rural school.
On June 18, 1944, she married
Edward Eckhoff in Kearney. They lived in Cheyenne, Wyo., and later in Kearney.
In 1963 she went to live with her sister in Kearney and in 1973 moved to the Mother Hull Home.
She was a member of the Catholic Church.
Survivors include one brother, Lawrence of Fort Collins, Colo., and one sister, Irene Christensen of Long Beach, Calif.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Erline Wiese
ALDA -- Erline T. Wiese, 78, of Alda died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center.
There will be no services. Mrs. Wiese was cremated.
Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wiese was born Feb. 6, 1923, at Alda to Byron and Margie (McDowell) Modesitt. She grew up near Long Beach, Calif., until age 13 when her mother died and she moved back to Nebraska.
She married
Lester Wiese on Aug. 16, 1941, at Alda. Then they lived in Alda, and she worked at the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant until 1957 when they moved to California. In California she worked as a retail clerk for Thrifty Drug Store. In 1967, they moved back to Nebraska where she again worked for the Ammunition Plant. In 1973, they returned to California and lived there until 1984 when she retired and moved back to Nebraska where she lived until her death.
She was a member of the Eagles Club, Veterans Auxiliary, was on the board of directors for Grand Generation Center and was a Tally Lady.
Survivors include one son, Robert Wiese of Alda; one daughter, Margie Ann Salcido of Woodland Hills, Calif.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Richard Palmquist of Lathrop, Calif.
Other than her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Lester Wiese Jr., and a sister, Elaine Wearing.
Myra Edwards
EUGENE, Ore. -- Myra L. Edwards, 87, of Eugene, Ore., died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2001, at Eugene.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Marcola Kingdom Hall in Marcola, Ore. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Alford cemetery in Harrisburg, Ore.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the Chapel of Memories Funeral Home in Eugene.
Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.
Mrs. Edwards was born Oct. 6, 1913, to Henry and Bessie (Watson) Hiner in a sod house at Ord. She graduated from Ord High School.
She married
Robert Bevier on June 14, 1933, at Ord. She later married
Dan Edwards in Florence, Ore., in 1953.
She lived in Nebraska, Washington and Oregon. She owned and operated restaurants in Florence and was a laborer at a munitions factory in Nebraska.
She was a member of Kingdom Hall in Marcola. She enjoyed sewing, quilts, crafts, gardening, cooking and canning.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald W. Bevier of Marcola and Gary Bevier of Brownsville; two daughters, Janis Farley of Brownsville and Janet Plummer of Eugene; a brother, Floyd Hiner of Grand Island; a sister, Myrna Reineke of Eugene; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Bevier.
Arlene Kosmicki
Arlene M. Kosmicki, 75, of Grand Island, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2001, at the Nebraska Veterans Home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Rev. Donald Larmore will officiate.
Her body was cremated. Inurnment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends was Monday with a rosary at All Faiths Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Mrs. Kosmicki was born April 20, 1926, in Wolbach to Lars and Clara (Hansen) Andersen. She grew up and attended school at St. Paul, Elba and Grand Island.
She married
Emil Kosmicki on Oct. 6, 1951, in Grand Island, where they lived.
She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Larry Kosmicki of Grand Island; a daughter and son-in-law Susan and Wayne Journey of Grand Island; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lyle Andersen of North Platte and Lars Andersen of Lincoln; a sister, Shirley Reimers of Grand Island; and caregiver, Eileen Samway of Grand Island.
She was preceded in death by a step-great-grandson.
Leslie Snodgrass
Leslie J. Snodgrass, 35, of Grand Island died Friday, Oct. 5, 2001, at his home.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in North Platte. The Rev. R. L. Piontkowski Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Cemetery.
Wake and rosary will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Adams and Swanson Chapel in North Platte.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Research Foundation, Make A Wish Foundation or a local child abuse program.
Mr. Snodgrass was born Oct. 25, 1966, to Rodney and Virginia Snodgrass in Grand Island. He was raised in North Platte where he graduated from high school in 1985.
He married
Tammy Morrison on Sept. 3, 1988, in North Platte. He moved to Colorado Springs where he worked for Standard Sales. In November 1992 he was promoted to managerial position and moved to Denver and worked for Clear Creek Distributing in Idaho Springs, Colo. He moved to North Platte in 1998 and worked for River Valley Distributing for about a year. He also managed the Touchdown Club for a short period of time. He moved to Grand Island and worked for H&H; Distributing until August of this year.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and football.
Survivors include his parents of North Platte; a daughter, Shelby Danielle of Kearney; his grandmother, Elanora Maiefski of North Platte; a brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Brenda Snodgrass of North Platte; and two sisters sand brothers-in-law, Robyn D. and Rudy Perez and Rhonda and John May, all of North Platte.
