Rodney Williams
LINCOLN -- Rodney E. Williams, 31, of Lincoln died Monday, March 26, 2001, in Mills County, Iowa.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home in Lincoln. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Mr. Williams was born on July 20, 1969, in Lincoln to Aaron and Alvina (Schultz) Williams. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1988. He was employed at Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.
Mr. Williams was a member of the Jaycees, Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way and a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Survivors include his mother, Alvina Williams of Lincoln; father and stepmother, Aaron and Kathy Williams of Bartlett; one sister, Catina (Mrs. Danny) Berks of Lincoln; one brother, Jason Williams of Norfolk; and his grandparents, William and Darlene Custard of Bartlett.
Dale Anderson
MCDERMITT, Nev. -- Dale Anderson, 82, of McDermitt, Nev., died Feb. 3, 2001, at his home.
Memorial graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Elmwood cemetery in St. Paul with military honors. The Rev. Thomas Hyde will officiate.
There will be no visitation. Mr. Anderson was cremated.
Memorials are suggested to the Howard County Veterans Memorial Monument of Post 119.
Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home of St. Paul is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Anderson was born on Sept. 11, 1918, in St. Paul to Peter and Edna (LeMasters) Anderson. He received his education at St. Paul and attended St. Paul High School. He then lived in the St. Paul and Grand Island area.
During World War II, he served in the United States Army as a heavy truck driver in the Pacific Theater from Feb. 18, 1942, to Oct. 11, 1945. He served in the campaigns of the Northern Solomons, Guadalcanal and Luzon. After his discharge, he moved to Boise, Idaho, where he was employed as a mechanic and truck driver. He later moved to Nevada.
On Oct. 7, 1950, he married
Doris Patterson at Humboldt County, Nev. They lived at McDermitt County, Nev. He was employed by the Cordero Mine Co. as a mechanic for several years before his retirement. Mrs. Anderson died in 1987.
He enjoyed his dog, Pepe, and other dogs. He was a collector and seller of aluminum cans.
Survivors include two sisters, Ruth (Mrs. Harvey) Johansen and Doris McCord, both of Grand Island.
He was preceded in death by his wife; an infant son, Kenneth Dale; a twin brother, Dean; and two sisters, Evelyn Morse and Lois Evison.
Eleanor Gannon
Eleanor H. Gannon, 75, of Grand Island died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at St. Francis Memorial Health Center in Grand Island.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Doniphan with Rev. Rodney Armon officiating. Burial will be in Cedar View cemetery in Doniphan. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Doniphan.
Roger Kircher
Roger A. Kircher, 76, of Grand Island died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000, at his home.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Ryan officiating. Mr. Kircher will be cremated, and burial of the ashes will take place at a later date in the Indianola Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family.

Lucille Laird, 82, of Grand Island died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.

Alma C. Pearson, 99, of Grand Island, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at Wedgewood Care Center.

C. Elaine Perkins
C. Elaine Perkins, 82, of 3027 W. Capital Ave. No. 8 died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Cheryl Lamb will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant cemetery at Cairo.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Curran Funeral Chapel.
Harold Sutter
Harold F. Sutter, 85, of 2021 W. Louise, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Cheryl Lamb will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church Pre-School.
Mr. Sutter was born June 24, 1915, at Liberty to Charles and Bessie (Withers) Sutter. He grew up in Lincoln and graduated from College View High School, which is now Lincoln Southeast, in 1933. He attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln for four years where he was a member of the Acacia Fraternity.
He married
Norane Royer on June 24, 1938, in Lincoln. They moved to Grand Island in 1938 and he went into business with his father and founded Sutter's Dairy. He sold to Meadow Gold Dairy, a division of Beatrice Foods in 1955 and continued working for them until his retirement in 1977.
Mr. Sutter was a member of First Presbyterian Church. He was honored by his contribution to he Nebraska Dairy Association and was a lifetime member of the Jaycees.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He was also a loyal Nebraska Fan.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Merlene (Mrs. Harry) Goff of Durango, Colo.; two sons, Robert A. Sutter of Ft. Collins, Colo. and Darrell R. Sutter of Grand Island; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Jr.
Harold Voss
Harold H. Voss, 87, of Grand Island died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at Wedgewood Care Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home. Mr. Voss was cremated. Burial of the cremains will be in Westlawn Memorial Park cemetery following the memorial service.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials are suggested to Trinity United Methodist Church.
Mr. Voss was born on Dec. 29, 1912, to Emil and Christine (Mohr) Voss. He grew up and attended school in Grand Island and graduated in 1932.
He married
Catherine Bartenbach on Aug. 3, 1943. He was a sheet metal worker for O.V. Hehnke Co. and later for Kraus Roofing until his retirement.
He enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael Voss and George Voss, both of Grand Island; three grandsons; one step-granddaughter; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Emil Voss of St. Joseph, Mo.; and one sister, Dorothy McNees of Grants Pass, Ore.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frederick and George Voss.
