Iola Case
BROKEN BOW -- Iola Ruth Case, 89, of Ansley, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000, at Jennie Melham Hospital at Broken Bow.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church in Ansley. The Rev. Mel Shepherd will officiate. Burial will be in the Ansley Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow.
A memorial has been established to the First Christian Church in Ansley.
Mrs. Case was born May 28, 1911, at Ansley to George E. and Flora Cecile (Spencer) Munn. She attended school at Ansley and Ash Grove and graduated from Ansley High School in 1928.
She married
Paul H. Case on May 10, 1938, at Ord. They spent their married
life in Ansley. Mr. Case died in 1986. In December 1999, she moved to Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Broken Bow.
Mrs. Case was a member of the First Christian Church in Ansley and the Dorcas Society. She enjoyed cooking, working crossword puzzles and embroidery.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda (Mrs. Gayle) Smith of Ansley; two grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; five sisters, Rowena Trew of Lincoln, Naomi Fox of Broken Bow, Georgena Miller of Hastings, Bonnie Wilson of Litchfield and Donna Henion of Galesburg, Mich.; and one brother, George Munn of Omaha.
Florence Grabowski
BURWELL -- Florence Grabowski, 86, of Burwell, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at the Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Cottonwood cemetery in Burwell. The Rev. Rolly Salts will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell.
Memorials are suggested to the Community Memorial Health Center.

Delmer Hostetler
ROCKVILLE -- Delmer Hostetler, 60, of Rockville died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2000, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the United Church of Christ in Rockville.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rasmussen Mortuary in Ravenna.
Memorials are suggested to the Nebraska Children's Home or the donor's choice.
Mr. Hostetler was born on March 9, 1940, in Kinross, Iowa, to Jacob and Verda (Stutzman) Hostetler. He grew up and attended school in the Cairo and Wood River area.
He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1961. He was stationed in Alaska and at Mountain Home Air Base in Idaho.
He married
Joy Torson on Oct. 4, 1964, in Gooding, Idaho. The couple lived in Cairo for a number of years. They moved to Rockville in 1974. He started Del's Plumbing in 1978. He formed a partnership with his son Joe in 1991.
Mr. Hostetler was an active member of the Nebraska Well Drillers Association of more than 30 years. He was also a member of the Ashton American Legion and the Emergency Medical Technician Board and a past member of the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department.
He enjoyed gardening and roasting meat.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Delmer Jr. of Kearney and Joseph of Loup City; one daughter, Teresa (Mrs. Brian) Gerbeling of Lincoln; four grandchildren; four brothers, Ray Hostetler of Milford, Ervin Hostetler and Jake Hostetler, both of Cairo, and Arlan Hostetler of Boelus; and one sister, Fern Jantzi of Cairo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Harvey Krahulik
ORD -- Harvey E. Krahulik, 80, of Ord died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at his home in Ord.
Services are pending at Ord Memorial Chapel.
Ralph Snell
BROKEN BOW -- Ralph Wayne Snell, 57, of Broken Bow, died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000, at Jennie Melham Hospital in Broken Bow.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow. The Rev. Jim Stark will officiate. Burial will be at the Grand View cemetery at Anselmo at a later date.
Visitation will be from 8 to 5 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
A memorial has been established to the family.
Don Swartz
BELLA VISTA, Ark. -- Don Swartz, 72, of Bella Vista, Ark., formerly of Aurora, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2000, at his home.
Services are pending at Higby Mortuary in Aurora.
Robert Brigham
SEWARD -- Robert "Dean" Brigham, 92, of Seward, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2000, at Bryan LGH Medical Center.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Seward. The Revs. Cindy Karges and Burton Knudsen will officiate. Burial will be in Tamora cemetery at Tamora.
Volzke Mortuary of Seward is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Brigham was born to Byron and Ruth (Kinnamon) Brigham.
He married
Fern Meradith on Dec. 4, 1940, in Lincoln. He was a retired farmer and livestock trucker.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Robert of Wahoo; two daughters, Betty (Mrs. Larry) Dethlefs and Patty (Mrs. Tim) Javorsky of Grand Island; one brother, Byron of Seward; three sisters, Blenda (Mrs. Glen) Berndt of Seward, Isabel Hess of Lincoln and Gloria (Mrs. Rex) Tyrell of El Mirage, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and John; and two sisters, Beth Welch and Bonita Brigham.
Lillian Shada
LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Lillian Shada, 92, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Kearney, died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at The Place of Sun Mountain in Las Vegas.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow. The Rev. Paul Gibb will officiate. Burial will be in the Ansley Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Shada was born Sept. 8, 1908, at Kearney. Her father moved the family to Lexington where she participated in the family greenhouse and garden business until she graduated high school.
She married
Simon G. Shada on July 27, 1930. They lived in Ansley and ran the family store until 1973. Mr. Shada died March 19, 1984.
She was very active in the community, serving as secretary of the school board for a number of years. She was a member of the Women's Club and Eastern Star, Red Cross Auxiliary/Blood Drive, USO Canteen support during World War II and enjoyed other types of activities such as card parties, Rotary Auxiliary, potluck dinners, gardening, bowling and fishing. She participated in many of the Ansley celebrations, including the planning for and the installation of the historical monument at the city's park. She was also known for her support of the Ansley Warriors and the University of Nebraska's "Big Red" football team.
She won many blue ribbons at the Custer County Fair for her beautiful crocheting, knitted afghans, garden produce, floral arrangements and canned foods. For many years she worked with fresh flowers and floral displays and lent an air of beauty to weddings, funerals, school proms and other special occasions.
She was a dedicated member and historian of the Saint George Eastern Orthodox Church in Kearney.
Survivors include two sons, Gene of Las Vegas, Nev. and Wayne of Scotts Valley, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Mike of Denver.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
