Ralph Clark
WISNER -- Ralph L. Clark, 49, of Wisner died Friday, April 6, 2001, in an automobile accident.
Memorial services were held Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wisner. The Rev. Jeff Zyla officiated. Burial was in the Stanton Cemetery.
Mr. Clark was cremated.
Kuzelka-Minnick Funeral Home of Wisner was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Clark was born July 7, 1951, at Omaha to Ervin and Edna (Coy) Clark. He attended school in Stanton and Beemer.
On April 6, 1976, he married
Karen Rohloff in Yankton, S.D. He was a truck driver for 30 years, delivering long haul freight before retiring due to health reasons.
Survivors include his wife of Wisner; nine children, Jason Rohloff of McLean, Kandy, Kari, Kristy, Kasey, Karlee, Jesse, all at home, Ralph Jr., and Richard, both of Norfolk; one granddaughter; and his father, Ervin Clark of Sioux City, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and two sons, Jeremy and Joshua.
His son, Justin, also was killed in the automobile accident.
'Tuff' Fosket
ALLIANCE -- George F. "Tuff" Fosket Jr., 47, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at Alliance.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Alliance. The Rev. Mark Schutt will officiate. Burial will be in the Alliance Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in care of the family.
Bates-Gould Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Fosket was born on Sept. 14, 1953, in Alliance to George F. "Bud" and Ilo E. (Boren) Fosket. He graduated from Alliance High School in 1972 and lived in Alliance, where he worked in ranching.
He was a member of the Eagles, Sons of the American Legion and the Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include mother, of Alliance; two sisters, Carolyn (Mrs. Sid) Grimes of Alliance and Brenda (Mrs. Craig) Anderson of Wood River; and one brother, Michael Fosket of Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Esther Hansen
NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Esther Hansen, 93, of Naperville, Ill., formerly of Aurora, died Thursday, April 12, 2001, at Naperville.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Higby Mortuary Chapel in Aurora. Dr. Joe Scahill will officiate. Burial will be at the Aurora Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Higby Mortuary.
Mrs. Hansen was born on Nov. 1, 1907, on a farm southwest of Aurora to William and Florence (Hillis) Sautter. She graduated from Aurora High School in 1923. She worked as a school teacher in the Sandhills after graduation. She then returned to Aurora to work at Memorial Hospital. She graduated from St. Luke's School of Nursing in Denver in 1942 as a registered nurse
She married
Verner R. Hansen on Dec. 16, 1943, in Denver. They lived on a farm northeast of Aurora until 1973, when they moved to Aurora. She worked as a nurse at Litzenberg Memorial County Hospital in Central City. She retired in 1973 as director of nurses.
Mr. Hansen died in November 1974. In 1990, she moved to Illinois. In 1994, she moved in with her son and his family. In July 1998, she moved to Tabor Hills Nursing Home in Naperville, Ill.
She enjoyed reading to her grandchildren and taking care of people.
Survivors include one son, Wiliam R. of Naperville, Ill.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Other than her husband, she was preceded in death two sisters, Helen Sautter and Mildred Duncan and one brother, Ralph Sautter.
'Ralph' Hernandez
Raul T. "Ralph" Hernandez, 69, of Grand Island died Sunday, March 18, 2001, at Plattsmouth Manor in Plattsmouth.
Burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Forest Lawn cemetery in Omaha.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Boyd-Braman Funeral Home in Omaha.
Mr. Hernandez was born on Sept. 18, 1931, in Omaha to Jesus and Francisca (Sanchez) Hernandez. He grew up in Grand Island.
He joined the U.S. Army in 1949 and served in the Korean War.
He married
Karen Karash on July 5, 1959, in Omaha. They lived in Omaha, where he worked at Kitty Clover and St. Joseph's Hospital. He later moved back to Grand Island.
His hobbies were playing the guitar and singing.
Survivors include three daughters, Sylvia Speck, Monica DeSilverio and Angela Zeman, all of Omaha; three sons, Raul Jr. and Michael Hernandez, both of Omaha, and Carlos Hernandez of Overland Park, Kan.; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Connie (Mrs. Dario) Olivo and Delores Landaverde, both of Grand Island.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Angeline Rivera; and three brothers, John Hernandez, Eddie Hernandez and Lupe Hernandez.
Fern Versaw
Fern E. Versaw, 79, of Grand Island died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Services are pending with Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home.
Ruth Adams
LOUP CITY -- Ruth A. Adams, 91, of Loup City died Sunday, March 18, 2001, at Rose Lane Nursing Home in Loup City.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Loup City with the Rev. Heidi Revelo officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery in Loup City.
Visitation is from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Higgins Funeral Home in Loup City.
Memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Church or Rose Lane Nursing Home.
Mrs. Adams was born Feb. 21, 1910, at Loup City to Charles and Amanda (Barber) Quartz. She attended school at Oak Creek School north of Loup City.
She married
Vernon C. Adams on April 30, 1934, in Kearney. They lived one year in Ansley before moving to a farm in the Loup City area. She was employed by Sacred Heart Hospital for several years. She lived at the present farm since 1945. She and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1984.
She entered Rose Lane Nursing Home on March 16, 2001.
She was a past 4-H leader, member of the Busy Bells Extension Club, the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Church Circle, and United Methodist Women and Birthday Club.
She enjoyed gardening, her flowers and pets. She also enjoyed reading, sewing, embroidery work and playing cards.
Survivors include her son, Ronald of Panama City, Fla.; one daughter, Cleo (Mrs. Don) Phillips of Loup City; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, Nora and Fern and a brother, Alonzo.
Lillian Coplen
SCOTIA -- Lillian J. Coplen, 74, of Scotia, formerly of Wolbach, died Monday, March 19, 2001, at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church in Wolbach. The Rev. Ken West will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery in Wolbach.
There will be no visitation. Mrs. Coplen was cremated.
Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.

Mrs. Coplen was born Jan. 22, 1927, in North Loup to Orvil Sr. and Mary (Drawbridge) Dasher. She was raised in the North Loup area and attended schools in Omaha and Westerville.
She married
Aaron M. Coplen on July 21, 1945, at Okemah, Okla. They moved to a farm near Wolbach, where they farmed from 1946 to 1976. They then retired and moved into Wolbach. Mr. Coplen died in 1992. She continued to live in Wolbach until 1999, when she moved to Chalkhills Manor in Scotia.
She enjoyed reading and flowers.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Wolbach.
Survivors include one son, Ray of Central City; seven daughters, Linda (Mrs. Jim) Moore of Scotia, Kathy (Mrs. Mike) Conroy of Chesapeake, Md., Debbie (Mrs. LeRoy) Keeler of Aurora, Brenda Coplen of Palmer, Donna Coplen of North Platte, Teresa Coplen of Wolbach and Connie Lopez of Schyler; 24 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one half-brother, Orval Dasher of Lincoln; and three half-sisters, Diane and Elaine, both of Lincoln, and Vivian of Nebraska City.
She was preceded in death by her husband; three sons, Jimmy, Dennis and Jerry; one sister, Marjorie; and two half-sisters, Lorraine and Francis.
