Lyle Dilsaver
TAYLOR -- Lyle Dilsaver, 76, of Taylor died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at Jennie M. Melham Medical Center in Broken Bow.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Rhoad Funeral Home chapel in Sargent. Fred Cram will officiate. Burial will be in Madison Square cemetery with military rites.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Raymond Paczosa
SILVER CREEK -- Raymond Paczosa, 78, of Silver Creek died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Silver Creek. Burial will be in the parish cemetery with military rites provided by American Legion Post 263 of Silver Creek.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Wednesday with a 7 p.m. vigil service and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the family.

Mr. Paczosa was born Oct. 17, 1923, at Duncan to Louis and Kathryn (Tragarz) Paczosa. He attended St. Stanislaus Parochial School and graduated from Duncan High School in 1941.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II with the 36th Combat Engineers. He served in the African and European Theaters. He was involved in many beach landings involving the Higgins Boat.
He married
Virginia Starostka on June 1, 1949, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Silver Creek. The couple farmed in the Silver Creek area.
He was a member of American Legion Post 263 in Silver Creek. He was an active member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Louis Paczosa of Shelby and Jerry and Bonnie Paczosa of David City; six daughters and two sons-in-law, Sr. Pat Paczosa of St. Louis, Delores and Bob Samek of David City, Joann Scholl of Columbus, Christine Wieser of Kirkland, Wash., Jackie Kernick of Kearney and Janice and Steve Chramosts of Lincoln; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Anderson of Columbus and Catherine Kay of Chicago; and two brothers, Edward Paczosa of Chicago and Leo Paczosa of Tucson, Ariz.
He was preceded by two brothers, Frank and Joseph Paczosa and two sisters, Estelle Peters and Sophie Steele.
'Fred' Schatz
ST. PAUL -- Frederick W. "Fred" Schatz, 60, of St. Paul died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Peters Funeral Home in St. Paul. The Rev. Gary Karoly will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery in St. Paul with military rites provided by Carl Mogensen American Legion Post 119 of St. Paul.
There will be no visitation. His body was cremated.
Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Leona Sides
LOUP CITY -- Leona Sides, 88, of Loup City died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at Madonna Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Loup City. The Rev. Cindy Altstadt will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery in Loup City.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Peters Funeral Home in Loup City.
Memorials are suggested to Loup City's EMTs or First Presbyterian Church in Loup City.
Ruth Urwin
ORD -- Ruth Urwin, 93, of Ord died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002 at the Valley County Nursing Home in Ord.
Services are pending with the Ord Memorial Chapel.
Walter Evers
OMAHA -- Walter W. Evers, 81, of Omaha died Feb. 2, 2002.
Services were held Feb. 9 at Trinity Lutheran Church, ELCA, in Hildreth. The Rev. Kim Stover officiated.
Mr. Evers was born Aug. 15, 1920, near Macon to Henry and Carrie (Brinkman) Evers. He attended District 63 School south of Hildreth and graduated from Wilcox High School in 1939. He attended Kearney State Teachers College and taught in a one-room school near Central City. In April 1942, he went to Washington, D.C., to work in civil service.
In February 1943, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and was in basic training in Texas. He was assigned to the Medical Corps and received training at Stanford University in California and Omaha Medical School. He served in the Pacific War on the island of Saipan. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
On June 6, 1949, he received his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He was employed at the Offutt Air Force Base as director of housing for 27 years. He retired in 1993.
He was a real estate broker. He enjoyed farming, gardening and reading. He was a member of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod.
Survivors include a special friend, Janice Plambeck; a brother, August Evers of Fullerton; and a sister, Edna Arndt of Morrison, Colo.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Garrett Evers and three sisters, Katie Steinkruger, Rena Watson and Martha Luft.
Edward Janus
PHOENIX -- Edward Janus, 88, of Phoenix, formerly of Ord, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at Good Samaritan Care Center in Phoenix.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord. The Rev. Bob Rooney will officiate. Burial will be in Ord Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation with a rosary will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Ord Memorial Chapel.
Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's School Endowment Fund.
Mina Sacho
BREMERTON, Wash. -- Mina Christa Marie Sacho, 90, of Bremerton, Wash., died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at Belmont Terrace.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Bremerton.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association in Seattle.
Mrs. Sacho was born Jan. 25, 1912, at Prairie Creek to Ernst and Anna (Bruns) Kamper. She completed her education in Grand Island. She worked as a clerk in the Poulsbo Bakery.
She was a member of Unity Church in Bremerton. She enjoyed quilting and gardening.
Survivors include a son, Robert Mick of Gig Harbor, Wash.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Tom Frappier of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Sharon and Richard Samek of Lakeland, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, William Mick, and three husbands, Roy Mick, Albert Case and Leon Sacho.
