Marie Lebsock
87, Retired registered nurse
GIBBON -- Marie H. Lebsock, 87, of Gibbon died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at Good Samaritan Center in Gibbon.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Hooper. The Rev. Susan Butler will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
There is no visitation.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later determination.
Godberson Mortuary of Gibbon and Shelton is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lebsock was born May 7, 1914, at Scribner to Henry and Katherine (Muller) Haseman. She grew up in Scribner and graduated from Scribner High School in 1932. She attended and graduated from St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing in 1937.
She married
LeRoy H. Lebsock on June 18, 1939, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Hooper. The couple moved to Omaha where she worked as an registered nurse in obstetrics at St. Joseph's Hospital for 19 years, retiring in 1976. They moved to Wayne in 1996 and to Gibbon in August 2001. Her husband died in January 2002.
She was a member of the Lutheran Church and St. Elizabeth's Alumni Association. She enjoyed her nursing career, traveling with her husband to Nebraska football games and spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, David and Carollyn of Overland Park, Kan.; a daughter and son-in-law, Molly and Ron Sears of Shelton; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother and a sister.
'Jack' Horst
50, Farmer
EDGAR -- John "Jack" C. Horst, 50, of Edgar died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at his home near Edgar.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Evangelical Free Church in Hastings. The Rev. Randy Madison will officiate.
There will be no visitation. His body was cremated.
Williams Funeral Home in Edgar is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Horst was born Oct. 9, 1951, at Hastings to John and Janice (Kinnison) Horst. He grew up in the Edgar area and graduated from Sandy Creek High School in 1969. He then attended University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He farmed in the Edgar area for more than 25 years.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, John and Lana Horst of Edgar; two daughters, Jessica A. Horst of Omaha and Sarah E. Horst of Mullen; a son, John A. Horst of Omaha; and three brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Sonie Horst of Beatrice, Jeff and Terri Horst of Lincoln, Jerry and Shirley Horst of Edgar.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Horst.
John Baasch
John H. Baasch, 69, of Grand Island died Thursday, May 9, 2002, at St. Francis Skilled Care Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church with a 9:45 a.m. family prayer service.
Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Reba Konrad
Reba T. Konrad, 83, of Grand Island died Thursday, May 9, 2002, at Lebensraum Retirement Home.
Services are pending with Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home.
Kelly Logan
Kelly Logan, 79, of Grand Island Veterans Home, formerly of St. Paul, died Thursday, May 9, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Peters Funeral Home in St. Paul. Chaplain Bill Forbes will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery in St. Paul with military honors provided by Carl Mogensen American Legion Post 119 of St. Paul.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer's Foundation.
Clara Jehorek
LOUP CITY -- Clara T. Jehorek, 95, of Loup City, formerly of Ashton, died Thursday, May 9, 2002 at Rose Lane Nursing Home in Loup City.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Catholic Church in Ashton. The Rev. Larry Coulter will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Francis Catholic cemetery in Ashton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church with a vigil service at 7 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to the family.

Mrs. Jehorek was born April 5, 1907, at Ashton to Ignatz and Martha (Swantowski) Maiefski. She as raised and attended school in Ashton. After her schooling she worked at home.
She married
Richard Jehorek on Oct. 12, 1943, at Ashton. The couple farmed southeast of Ashton for their entire married
life. Mr. Jehorek died on Oct. 11, 1990.
Mrs. Jehorek continued to live on the farm until 1994 when she moved to Rose Lane Nursing Home in Loup City.
She enjoyed sewing, baking, playing cards, gardening and flowers.
She was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church and the church circle of Ashton.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Elaine Jehorek of Ashton.
She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, John, Edward and Alexander Maiefski; and sisters, Helen Richards and Nellie Hart.
Raymond Kroeger
RAVENNA -- Raymond R. Kroeger, 86, of Ravenna died Thursday, May 9, 2002, at Good Samaritan Center in Ravenna.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Congregational Church in Ravenna. The Rev. Doug DeNeui will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Memorials are suggested to Ravenna EMT's or the Good Samaritan Center Alzheimer's Unit.

Mr. Kroeger was born Jan. 16, 1916, in Custer County to John and Tracy (Gottwald) Kroeger. He was educated in rural Custer County.
He married
Irene Seifert on Dec. 21, 1940, in Arthur. The couple lived in Buffalo, N.Y., Omaha and in 1945 they moved to Ravenna. He was employed at Glen L. Martin Airplane Plant in Omaha and later operated a Phillips 66 Station until 1972. He then worked for the City of Ravenna and later as a carpenter.
He was a member of Congregational Church, VFW and American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, music, sports and dancing.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Judy Kroeger of Fort Collins, Colo.; daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and Russ Rathjen of Kearney and Susan and Ron Hadwiger of Amherst; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, a grandchild, a brother and two sisters.
