Hattie Kwiatkowski
LOUP CITY -- Hattie H. Kwiatkowski, 81, of Loup City died Friday, June 26, 1998, at Rose Lane Home in Loup City.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Hazard. The Revs. Jan Smutny, Loren Pohlmeier and Reginald A. Urban will officiate. Burial will be in Hazard Cemetery.
Christian wake services will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the church. Memorials are suggested to the church or Rose Lane Home.
Rasmussen Mortuary in Ravenna is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Kwiatkowski was born June 29, 1916, to Albert and Antonia (Ignowski) Kosmicki at Paplin. She attended school at Little Gem District No. 64 school in Sherman County. She lived and worked on the family farm.
She married
Henry Kwiatkowski on Feb. 8, 1937, at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Hazard. The couple farmed near Litchfield until 1980, when they retired and moved to Ravenna. She entered Rose Lane Home in Loup City in June 1994.
She was a member of St. Josaphat's Catholic Church in Loup City and Altar Society.
Survivors include two sons, Don of Lenexa, Kan., and Paul of Lamar, Colo.; three daughters, Arlene Pogorelski of Henderson, Nev., Julie Haley of Cincinnati and Jean Burns of Litchfield; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Barbara Grotzky of Grand Island.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Louis and Leonard; and two sisters, Stella and Veronica.
Erwin 'Erv' Moorberg
Erwin D. "Erv" Moorberg, 75, of Grand Island died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at the Skilled Care Unit of St. Francis Medical Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Cathedral. The Rev. Jack Rademacher will officiate. Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites by the U.S. Army Honor Guard of Fort Riley, Kan.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, with a 7 p.m. rosary, at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home.
Hazel Eggli
ORD -- Hazel Eggli, 85, of Ord died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, at Valley County Nursing Home in Ord.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Ord Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Kearney City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Ray Coons
LINCOLN -- Ray Edgar Coons, 87, of Lincoln died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, in Sun City, Ariz.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St. in Lincoln. The Rev. Maurice Pierce will officiate. Burial will be in the Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, with family greeting friends from 6 to 8, and from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday, all at the funeral home.
Mr. Coons was born Oct. 18, 1916, at St. Paul to Edgar and Bessie (Klinginsmith) Coons.
Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Jean; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Vern and Gloria Coons of Garden Grove, Calif., Wayne and Phyllis Coons of St. Paul and Paul and Mary Coons of Simi Valley, Calif.; and a daughter-in-law, Irma Coons of Lincoln.
Survivors also include one grandson and spouse, John and Denise Coons of Lincoln; one granddaughter, Kristine Kelley of Lincoln; two great-grandsons, Richard and James Coons of Lincoln; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Coons, a retired United States Navy man of 20 years and World War II Veteran, served on the Yorktown and Lexington aircraft carriers and in the Battle of Midway. He was a Past President and General Manager of Scott Electronics corporation in Lincoln.
He was a member of the Sesostris Shrine, North Star Masonic Lodge No. 227 A.F. and A.M.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Maxine; son, Richard; daughter, Kathryn Forest; and brothers, Loren, Glen and Ralph.
Paulbearers will be Greg King, Dave King, Steve King, Wayne Coons, Paul Coons and John Coons.
Memorials are suggested in care of the family.
Debra Eynetich
YORK -- Debra R. Eynetich, 44, of York died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, at York.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Metz Mortuary Chapel in York. The Rev. Art Phillips will officiate. Graveside services will then be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Pleasanton cemetery in Pleasanton.
There will be no visitation or viewing.
Mrs. Eynetich was born Jan. 12, 1959, at Kearney to Darold R. and Barbara (Hadwiger) Dauel.
Survivors of the immediate family include her parents of Pleasanton; two stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Ray "Johnny" and Peggy Eynetich and Chris and Wendy Eynetich, all of Kearney; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dan and Lois Dauel of Kearney and Doug and Diane Dauel of York; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Denise and Dan Mingus of Ravenna and Dayna and her special friend Ted Eichholz of Edwards, Colo.
Clemond Orendorff
HANFORD, Calif. -- Clemond LeRoy Orendorff, 84, of California died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at Hanford Community Medical Center in Hanford, Calif.
Services are pending with Wagner Funeral Home in Central City.
Reina Isabel Ruiz
Reina Isabel Ruiz, 38, of Grand Island died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003, at Beverly Healthcare-Parkplace.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Cristo Cordero DeDios Church in Grand Island with the Rev. Jorge Santamaria officiating.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Monday at the church and will continue throughout the evening. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Mrs. Ruiz was born in Honduras to Amado Mejilla and Leonor Villafranca.
Survivors of the immediate family include her parents; one daughter, Reyna Carcamo; and six sisters, Panchita Portillo, Glenda Reyes, Jessica Reyes, Sonia Villafranca, Ciro Guillen and Julian Villafranca.
Also surviving are her daughter's special friend, Jaime; and one grandson, Jaime Gebriel.
Mrs. Ruiz received her education in Honduras. Approximately 15 years ago she came to America. She married
Pablo Ruiz, Jr. She worked for Monfort as a meat packer until she was diagnosed in June 2001 with cancer. Special friends, Margot, Rosa, Gloria, Luz, Rosy, Alberto, Ruben, Juanita, Irma and Elsa were there daily to help her with normal daily routines as well as her health care.
Reina was a work-a-holic and enjoyed raising her daughter. She also collected elephants and frogs.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
Marvin Fredrickson
POLK -- Marvin Fredrickson, 98, of Polk died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at York General Hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Polk with the Rev. Charles Bailey officiating. Burial will be in the Swede Plain Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Solt Funeral Home in Polk.
Mr. Fredrickson was born on October 8, 1905, on a farm four miles west of Swede Home in Polk County, to Carl Oscar and Beda (Ahlgren) Fredrickson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Verna V. Flodman, on Sept. 1, 1989.
Survivors of the immediate family include one daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Arlie Johnson of Hampton, and two sisters and one brother-in-law, Laverne and Jim Dryden of Wilsonville, Ore., and Sylvia Johnson of Stromsburg.
