Dale Muhlbach
CAIRO -- Dale F. Muhlbach, 74, of Cairo died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999, at his home near Cairo.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Sodtown. Burial will be in Cameron cemetery south of Cairo.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Apfel Funeral Home in Cairo.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
Mr. Muhlbach was born on Jan. 18, 1925, at Shelton to Fred and Merie (Schiel) Muhlbach. He attended District 48 School in the Cairo area. After his schooling, he began farming.
He married
Mildred Smith in June 1950. He continued to farm and level land. He rebuilt antique Allis Chalmers equipment. He spent many hours in his wood shop building book shelves and coffee tables and carving figurines of buffalo and bear.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred; two sons, Glen and Mike, both of the Cairo area; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Roma Jean Black of Wahoo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pauline Waldmann
ORD -- Pauline Waldmann, 79, of Ord died Friday, Jan. 1, 1999, at Valley County Hospital in Ord.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord with the Rev. Jim Warner officiating. Burial will be in Ord Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at Ord Memorial Chapel with a rosary and Christian wake service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials are suggested to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church or the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Waldmann was born on Oct. 16, 1919, at Brass Ranch in Custer County near Comstock to Harold and Gladys (Jackson) Florida. She attended school at District 29 and graduated from Comstock High School in 1937. She worked in Elgin, Ill., for a year before returning to Nebraska. She worked at City Pharmacy in Comstock.
She married
Raymond Waldmann on Dec. 30, 1939, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Geranium. They lived on a farm west of Ord for 58 years until they moved to Ord in September 1997.
She was a member of St. Wenceslaus and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Churches. She was president of the Greeley DCCS deanery, founder of the TOB 4-H Club, which she led for 10 years, and was a member of a local extension club.
She developed an egg delivery business in the Comstock area, which she operated for 10 years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, working crossword puzzles, baking and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond of Ord; two sons, Alan of Fort Atkinson, Wis., and Ray Waldmann of Comstock; two daughters, Paula (Mrs. Kim) Musil of Ord and Cecila Waldmann of Osceola; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Velma Chalupsky of Edna, Texas, and Shirley Uphoff of Madison, Wis.
She was preceded in death by an infant grandchild.
Thelma Bogart
HEBRON -- Thelma L. Bogart, 67, of Hebron, formerly of Grand Island, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1999, at Blue Valley Care Center in Hebron.
Services are pending with Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home.
Linda Baasch
Linda M. Baasch, 64, of Grand Island died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at her home.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Island. The Rev. George Wheat will officiate.
Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday with family receiving friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home.
Mrs. Baasch was born on Oct. 10, 1938, at Grand Island to Edmond and Alice (Reinecke) Van Trump.
Survivors of the immediate family include her husband Bill Baasch of Grand Island; one sister and a brother-in-law, Naomi and Norris Lauer of Plano, Texas; two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara and Gregory Rocke of Denton and Connie Baasch of Grand Island.
Additional survivors include three grandchildren, Erika, Amanda, and Griffin Rocke all of Denton; one aunt, Grace Neeman of Grand Island; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Baasch received her education graduating from Grand Island Senior High School in 1956.
She was united in marriage to Bill Baasch on January 27, 1957 at the Van Trump home in Grand Island.
The couple made their home in Grand Island where she was a secretary for Bill Baasch Welding for 43 years.
She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, past state president of Danish Sisterhood and several clubs in Grand Island.
Mrs. Baasch was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be made to the St. Francis Hospice or the Central Nebraska Humane Society.
Reva Headley
SHELTON -- Reva L. Headley, 87, of Shelton died Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at her home north of Shelton.
Services are pending with the Godberson Mortuary of Gibbon/Shelton. They are in charge of arrangements.
George Livingston
GIBBON -- George Wesley Livingston, 59, of Gibbon died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
A private family service will be held Saturday.
Mr. Livingston will be cremated. There will be no visitation.
Godberson Mortuary of Gibbon/Shelton is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Livingston was born Oct. 7, 1943, in Kearney to George G. and Viola E. (Lindenstein) Livingston.
Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Joy of Gibbon; two sons and a daughter-in-law, George Jeffrey of Holdrege and Lath and Sharon of Minden; one daughter, Lorna Livingston of Hildreth; his mother, of Gibbon; and one sister, Cherie Wagnitz of Eustes.
Corbert 'Corky' Hansher
COLUMBUS -- Corbert L. "Corky" Hansher, 83, of Columbus died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha.
The family will have a private service on Friday at Gass Haney Funeral Home. The Rev. Gary Main will officiate.
Burial will be in Clarks cemetery at Clarks.
Mr. Hansher was born Feb. 6, 1920, at Belgrade to Robert Roy and Mildred (Toogood) Hansher.
Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Eileen Hansher of Columbus; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Muriel and Bill Neal of Tennessee and Marion Nelson of Lincoln; one son, Jim Hansher of Phoenix; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Ilene and Dave Booth of Lytle, Texas, Pat and Gordon Bergman of Henderson, Nev., Betty and Gary Pearson of Genoa, and Jane Hansher of Columbus; and one step-son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Joyce Lisle of Hillsboro, Mo.
Marian Arrasmith
83, Retired teacher
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Marian J Arrasmith, 83, of Glendale, Ariz., formerly of Grand Island, died Saturday, May 10, 2003.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 21, with a memorial service immediately following at 10:30 a.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.
Survivors of the immediate family include her son, Stephen L. Arrasmith of Longmont, Colo.; and a daughter, Carole J. Miller of Glendale, Ariz.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Tommy, and a sister, Hazel Tully.
Memorials are suggested to the church or the Grand Island Humane Society.
