Pricilla M. Holman, 90, of Christian Avenue died at home. She was born in North Stratford, the daughter of Orin and Edna (Brown) Holman. She was raised in Littleton and lived in Boston before moving to Concord in 2000. She graduated from Littleton High School and, in 1934, New England Deaconess School of Nursing, where she helped open the Baker Building at the Deaconess Hospital. She later completed a business procedure and typing program at Hickox School and earned a bachelor's degree in education from Boston College in 1962. Holman worked as a private office and surgical nurse for Dr. William Beetham from 1940 until 1973. She then worked for Dr. Lloyd Aiello, retiring in 1979. She was an active member of the United Parish Church in Brookline, Mass., and later the South Congregational Church in Concord. She was a member of the American Nurses Association, Massachusetts Nurses Association District 5, American Operating Nurses Association, Massachusetts Operating Nurses Association District 1, and the New England Deaconess Alumnae Association, for which she served as president from 1946 to 1952. She was a 50-year supporting member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Survivors include a sister, Dorothy Morton of Enfield, Conn.; and nieces and nephews. A sister, Ruby Tracey of Circleville, Ohio, and a brother, Orin Holman, died previously. Memorial services will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m. in South Congregational Church in Concord. Burial will be held in the spring in the family lot in Pine Grove Cemetery in South Paris, Maine. ALTON - Jessica Anne Wilcox, 12, died yesterday at her home. She was born in Concord, the daughter of Brian and Anne (Chamberlin) Wilcox. She was a student at Alton Central School. She raised and showed cats and raised pug dogs and Angora goats. Survivors include her parents of Alton; a brother, Matthew Wilcox of Fairbanks, Alaska; and grandparents, Robert Sr. and Irene Wilcox of Umatilla, Fla. PENACOOK - Mary Ann Vanasse, 80, died Sunday at the Hospice House in Concord after a long illness. She was born in Newton, Mass., the daughter of Francis and Anna (Greene) Lill. She was a longtime resident of the Briar Pipe Apartments in Penacook. Vanasse worked as a clerk for the New Hampshire Department of Motor Vehicles before retiring. She enjoyed cooking and reading, especially historical novels. Survivors include a son, Leo Vanasse of Penacook; two daughters, Jane Klez of Epsom and Candace Vanasse of Thornton; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A son, Edward Vanasse, died previously. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of the arrangements.
Joseph D. Magee, WEBSTER

WEBSTER - Joseph D. Magee, 88, of Mt. Vernon Terrace died yesterday at Presidential Oaks in Concord. He was born in Central Falls, R.I., the son of Joseph and Sarah (Wilson) Magee. He lived in Webster for 30 years and wintered in Flagler Beach, Fla., for the past 19 years. He served as a master seargeant. in the Air Force for 22 years before retiring. He served in Europe during World War II, spending seven years in Germany, Belgium, Greece and Saudi Arabia. Magee worked for the Concord and Manchester post offices for 15 years. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Alfred in Florida and the First Baptist Church in Concord. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Celine (Libert) Magee of Webster; two sons, James Magee of Loudon and Joseph Magee of Derry; three daughters, Jo-Ann Magee of Concord, Sarah Durgin of Pittsfield and Josette Krause of Palm Coast, Fla.; and six grandchildren. A daughter, Josine, died previously. Calling hours will not be held. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Charles A. Farren, 72, of Fairfield Drive, Concord, died Sunday after a long illness. He was born in Tewksbury, Mass., the son of Catherine Farren. He was raised in Worcester, Mass., and moved to Medfield, Mass., in 1959. He worked as a dairyman and groundskeeper at Medfield (Mass.) State Hospital for 31 years before retiring in 1990. Farren was a member of the Massachusetts Retired State, County and Municipal Employee Association and the Crestwood Club of Concord. He was an avid Boston Bruins and New York Yankees fan and loved gardening. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Theresa Farren; a daughter, Ann Bradley-Hebert of Pembroke; a grandson; and 26 nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 Miller St., Medfield, Mass. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. DUNEDIN, Fla.- Paul A. Gagne, 74, died Monday at home. He was born in Concord and lived there before moving in 1999 to Dunedin, Fla., where he lived in Lake Highlander Mobile Home Park. He served in the Army. He worked as a business administrator before retiring. Gagne was an avid reader. Survivors include his wife, Judith Gagne of Dunedin, Fla.; a son, Jeffrey Wonson of Warner; a daughter, Debby Wonson of Concord; three brothers, Robert Gagne of Concord, Richard Gagne of Rochester and Thomas Gagne of Chichester; three sisters, Rose Marie Everett and Rita St. Laurent, both of Bow, and Madeline DesMarais of Duxbury, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews. DEDHAM, Mass. - Virginia Underhill Moulton, 89, of High Street died Sunday at the Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Mass. She was born in Concord, the daughter of Edward Underhill and Adeline (Flanders) Moulton. She was raised in Concord and graduated from Concord High School and Concord Commercial College. Moulton lived in Franklin, Brookline and Jamaica Plain before moving to Dedham, Mass., 15 months ago. She worked as a secretary at the Daniel Webster Home for Children in Franklin, the Craftsman Insurance Company in Boston and American Mutual Insurance in Chestnut Hill, Mass. She was an avid walker. She was a former member of the VFW Auxiliary in Portsmouth. Survivors include a son, Dennis Lyon of Boston; three daughters, Margaret Kirby of Franklin, Betty Barrett of Franklin, Mass., and Robin Blount of St. Pauls, N.C.; a brother, William Underhill of Salisbury; a sister, Marie Smith of Orlando, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Her first husband, Francis Lyon, died in 1948; and her second husband, John Moulton, died in 1991. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 9 to 11 a.m. at H.L. Young & Company Memorial Home, 175 S. Francis X. Gardner, 79, of Concord died Sunday at the VA Medical Center in Manchester. He was born in New York City, the son of John and Mary Gardner. He was raised in Cambridge, Mass. He served in the Army's Yankee Division in the European Theater during World War II. He was wounded, captured and spent a year in German prison camps; he was later awarded the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star and other decorations. Gardner moved to the Concord area in the early 1950s. He worked as a purchasing agent for the State of New Hampshire, retiring in 1998. He was a lifelong actor, singer and director and was a member of the Concord Community Players for many years, serving as past president. He appeared professionally at area summer theaters, taught stagecraft at Nathaniel Hawthorne College and served as the Capitol Theater's Technical Director. He was a former member of the professional stagehands union. Survivors include his wife, Joan (Cunningham) Gardner of Concord; two sons, Kevin Gardner and Chris Gardner, both of Hopkinton; a daughter, Rosemary Whittemore of Saxton's River, Vt.; three brothers, Hugh Gardner, Bernard Gardner, and Robert Gardner, all of Massachusetts; four granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. Charlotte W. Sweeney, 88, died Thursday in the Pleasant View Nursing Home in Concord. She was born in West Bridgewater, Mass., the daughter of Charles and Ada Brown Weatherbee. She attended Concord High School. She moved to Dunbarton in 1938 and moved to Pleasant View about a year ago. Sweeney served as president of the Dunbarton Book Club and the Dunbarton Women's Club, where she received an award from the New Hampshire Federation of Women's Clubs for her service in the 1970s. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and participated with the AIM Fellowship. She was an avid reader and accomplished knitter. She was widely known for her "Charlotte's Dolls." Survivors include two sons, David Sweeney of Wilmington, Mass., and Terrence Sweeney of Nashua; two daughters, Roberta Atherton of Northborough, Mass., and Kathleen Mitchell of Washington, Pa.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, John Sweeney, died in 1985, and three brothers, Roger Weatherbee, Edward Weatherbee and Norman Weatherbee, a sister, Susan, died previously. Calling hours will be held Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Concord. BOSCAWEN - Stella K. Dagata, 81, of Daniel Webster Highway, died Thursday at Franklin Regional Hospital. She was born in Franklin, the daughter of Joseph and Karolina (Musial) Weglarz. She lived in Franklin for many years before moving to Northampton, Mass., where she lived for 30 years. She returned to Franklin 23 years ago. She worked as a waitress for Wiggin's Tavern and the Northampton Inn and later in the dietary department of the Franklin Regional Hospital before retiring. Dagata was a communicant of St. Paul Church in Franklin. She enjoyed reading. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, John Dagata of Boscawen; a stepson, Vincent Dagata of Tampa, Fla.; three brothers, Edward Weglarz and Stanley Weglarz, both of Franklin, and Stephen Weglarz of Lynn, Mass.; two sisters, Jennie Rayno of Franklin and Kathryn Stober of West Roxbury, Mass.; two stepgrandchildren; a step great-grandson; and nieces and nephews. Four brothers, Peter Weglarz, Joseph Pescinski, Frank Weglarz and Walter Weglarz, and a sister, Julia Garneau, died previously. ROCHESTER - Richard Everett Angwin, 84, of Adams Avenue, died Wednesday at his home. He was born in Concord, the son of William and Marjorie (Douglass) Angwin. He lived in Rochester for the past 49 years. He served as chief machinist mate with the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. Angwin worked as a machinist and a tool and die maker for Spaulding Fibre Co. before retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Humane Lodge F & A.M. in Rochester where he was a 32nd degree mason. He enjoyed reading and gardening. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Miriam (Buzzell) Angwin of Rochester; a daughter, Candice Laing of Amherst; two brothers, Forest Angwin of Pittsburg and Leslie Angwin of Saco, Maine; grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A brother, William Angwin, died previously. Calling hours will not be held. Memorial services will be held today at 11 a.m. in the chapel of R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S.
