ANDOVER, Mass. - Cynthia Mary "Kiddy" Thibault, 50, of Carter Lane, a summer resident of Webster, died Wednesday at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Mass., after suffering from an aneurysm while skiing on Mt. Sunapee two weeks ago. Calling hours will be held today from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the St. Augustine Church, Essex Street, Andover, Mass. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated tomorrow at 10 a.m. in St. Augustine Church. Burial will be held in the family lot in St. Augustine Roman Catholic Cemetery in Andover, Mass. CARIBOU, Maine - Clara B. Small, 104, died Tuesday at a Caribou, Maine, health care facility after a short illness. She was born in Bristol, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Charles and Lottie (Giberson) Cox. She lived in Caribou, Maine, for many years. She was a member of the Caribou United Baptist Church. Small was Caribou's oldest citizen. Survivors include a daughter, Evelyn Dean of Concord; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Her husband, Reuel Small, died in 1982; a daughter, Helen Barnes, died in 2002; and seven brothers and a sister also died previously. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou, Maine. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. John Ross, pastor of the Caribou (Maine) United Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be held in the spring in Evergreen Cemetery in Caribou, Maine. BOSCAWEN - Robin Lynn Brown, 45, died Wednesday at Pleasant View Center in Concord after a long illness. She was born in Milford, Conn., the daughter of Robert and Mona (Eisenhower) Stickey. She graduated from the Tilton School in Tilton. She lived in the Franklin, Laconia and Tilton areas for many years before moving in 1989 to Boscawen, where she was formerly of Forest Lane. She worked as a homemaker. Brown was active with the PTA and volunteered in the library at Boscawen Elementary School. She loved the outdoors, the ocean and animals. She formerly attended the Congregational Church in Laconia. Survivors include her mother of Gilford; a son, Charles Brown V of Tilton; two brothers, Ray Stickney of Sabastian, Fla., and Robert Stickney of Dover; a sister, Diane Modugno of Canterbury; two aunts and an uncle; and nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 1 to 3 p.m. at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road, Tilton. Services will follow at 3 p.m. in the memorial home. Andrew G. Downes, 67, died Wednesday at Cape Coral Hospital in Cape Coral, Fla., after a brief illness. He was born in Concord, the son of Harlen Downes and Dorothy (Graham) Downes. He was a graduate of Concord High School and the New Hampshire Technical College in Manchester. Downes also previously lived in Loudon and Ashland. He worked for the Loudon Fire Department beginning in high school and was fire chief from 1977 to 1986. He also served as a deputy forest fire warden for Loudon from 1963 to 1977 and as the town forest fire warden from 1977 to 1986. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. He worked for Fruedenburg NOK for many years as a supervisor in the tool and die department. He is survived by his longtime companion, Brenda Boynton of Ashland and North Fort Myers, Fla. Graveside services will be held in the Franklin Cemetery in the spring. FLOYD, Va. - Persis M. Plaisted, 80, died Monday at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. She was born the daughter of Carleton Metcalf and Lucy Persis Parker. She lived in Virginia for 15 years. She graduated from Concord Academy in Concord, Mass., in 1940 and from Marot Junior College in Thomson, Conn., in 1942 and earned a bachelor's degree in biology/medical technology from the University of New Hampshire in 1947. Plaisted worked as a medical technologist for the American Society of Clinical Pathologists for more than 50 years and later for hospitals and clinics in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Virginia. She also worked for Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter. She was a very active with many organizations, including the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit No. 94, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts, Civil Defense and the Durham Youth Association. She was a founding and charter member of the Friends of Ordiorne Point marine education center in Rye; served as a marine education docent for the University of New Hampshire marine extension program for more than 10 years; was a member of the Pizzaro Ladies Group and the Floyd Chapter of T.O.P.S.; was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Northeast Marine Advisory Council for excellence in marine education; and volunteered for marine education at the Maine Aquarium in Saco, Maine. She loved education and the ocean. Survivors include a son, Carleton Plaisted of Floyd, Va.; a daughter, Persis McHugh of Newmarket; a brother, Carleton Metcalf of Basking Ridge, N.J.; sister, Lucy Woodman of Concord; and grandchildren. Her husband, Donald Plaisted, a brother, Paul Metcalf, and twin sons died previously. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 3 to 4 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home, 1300 N. GREEN BROOK, N.J. - Josephine M. Donovan, 98, formerly of Concord, died Wednesday in Green Brook, N.J. She was born in Concord, the daughter of James and Bridget (McDermott) Mannion. She graduated from Concord High School in 1921 and earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry cum laude from Smith College in 1925. She moved to South Orange, N.J., in 1955, where she lived before moving to West Orange, N.J., in 1969 and to Green Brook, N.J., in 1999. Donovan worked as a chemist for Gillette Safety Razor Co. in South Boston, Mass., and for Children's Hospital in Back Bay, Mass. Survivors include three sons, Daniel Donovan, Michael Donovan and John Donovan; two daughters, Joanne Brown and Martha Niethe; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Gladys P. Frederick, 87, of Concord died Thursday at Pleasant View Nursing Home. She was born in Swanton, Vt., the daughter of Thomas and Ella (Cory) Lahue. She lived in many towns in New Hampshire during the past 25 years. She was a Jehovah's Witness and attended congregations in Concord, Franklin and Rochester. Her husband, Robert Frederick, died in 1986. Calling hours will not be held. PEMBROKE - Joseph L. "Patou" Daneault, 70, of Ledgewood Circle, died Wednesday at Concord Hospital. He was born in Concord, the son of Desire and Josephine (Houle) Daneault. He was a lifelong resident of Pembroke. Daneault worked as a truck driver for S&S Transit. Survivors include a son, Stephen Daneault of Concord; four brothers, Andre Daneault of Pembroke, George Daneault of Canterbury, Paul Daneault of Allenstown and Maurice Daneault of Manchester; two granddaughters; and nieces and nephews. MADBURY - Harold "Hap" Taylor, 88, of Littleworth Road died Thursday at the Sunbridge Nursing Home in Rochester after a period of failing health. He was born in Chelsea, Mass., the son of H. Fielding and Emily (Rowe) Taylor. He co-founded Taylor Egg Products and held many positions in the egg and poultry industry. He was a charter member of the Barrington Evangelical Free Church. Taylor served as a former selectman in Barrington and was a former Boy Scout troop leader in Barrington. He loved the outdoors, maple sugaring, raising beef cattle and farming. He was a 42-year cancer survivor. Survivors include his second wife of 29 years, Doris (Estey) Taylor; two sons, Robert Taylor and William Taylor, both of Madbury; two daughters, Joyce Watts of Concord and Marilyn Taylor of Marlton, N.J.; three stepdaughters, Norma Nesman of Rochester, Judith Morse of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Bethany Estey of Orange, N.J.; a brother, Robert Taylor of Kissimmee, Fla.; two sisters, Ina Barnaby of Hampton and Pauline Swain of Barrington; 15 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. His first wife, Mildred (McDaniel) Taylor; a son, Donald Taylor, a daughter, Judith Taylor, a brother, Harold Swenson, two sisters, Annie Ramsdell and Ruth Rowell, and a stepson, Roy Estey, died previously. BARNSTEAD - Mary Maxwell, 94, of Gilmanton Road died Thursday at SunBridge of Wolfeboro. She was born in Somerville, Mass., the daughter of Alexander and Marian (Hall) Mitchell. She earned a degree in botany from Wheaton College in 1928. She lived in Belmont, Mass., before moving to a summer home in Barnstead in 1972. Maxwell was active in conservation activities; served as president of the Belmont (Mass.) and Alton Garden Club and as president of the New Hampshire Federation of State Garden Clubs; and was a life member of the National Council of State Garden Clubs. Survivors include a son, Maynard Maxwell of Middlebury, Conn.; and two grandchildren, Scott Maxwell and Michelle Maxwell. Her husband, Maynard Maxwell, died in 1977. Calling hours will not be held. Burial will be held in the spring in the family lot in Chadwick Hill Cemetery in China, Maine. Elizabeth Hines "Betty" McLaughlin, 103, of Concord died yesterday at Havenwood-Heritage Heights Retirement Community in Concord after a short illness. She was born in Merrimack, the daughter of John and Mabel (Lowell) Haseltine. She graduated from Merrimack High School, Tilton Preparatory School and earned a degree from Wheaton College in 1923. She attended summer schools at M.I.T. and Countway at Harvard University. She worked teaching math and science at Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, Cotuit on Cape Cod, Mass., and in Lexington, Mass. McLaughlin lived in Manchester for many years before moving to Auburn, Maine, where she lived for five years before moving to Concord 13 years ago. She was active in St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Manchester. She was active with the P.E.O. Sisterhood Chapter B of New Hampshire and the Eastern Star Pleiades Chapter No. 41 in Pittsfield; was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution; and served as a past trustee at Elliot Hospital in Manchester. She volunteered at Elliot Hospital Medical Library. Survivors include a son, Richard McLaughlin of Loudon, Tenn.; a daughter, Barbara Levey of Ogunquit, Maine; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Ralph McLaughlin, two brothers, Franklin Haseltine and Edward Haseltine, and a sister, Hazel Adkins, died previously. Calling hours will be held Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home, 607 Chestnut St., Manchester. Funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev.
