LOUDON - Ralph Edward Bourdeau, 48, of Bear Hill Road, died Wednesday from injuries sustained in an ATV accident. He was born in Concord. He lived in Loudon for most of his life. He worked as a maintenance engineer for Oxford Health Plans. Bourdeau was a member of the Snow Shakers Snowmobile Club and the ATV Association. He enjoyed Harley-Davidsons, gardening and the outdoors. Survivors include his mother, Irene (Chapdelaine) Bourdeau; his wife of 23 years, Susan (Hunter) Bourdeau of Loudon; two sons, Joshua Bourdeau of Barnstead and Justin Bourdeau of Loudon; a daughter, Crystal Bourdeau of Loudon; a brother, Mark Bourdeau of Concord; two sisters, Arlene Gaskell of Penacook and Sherry Norris of Concord; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. His stepparents, Margaret Wheeler and Oren Sheldon Wheeler, and a sister, Patricia Wheeler, died previously. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 10 a.m. to noon at Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord. Funeral services will follow at noon at the chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Henry Frost will officiate.

Beth A. Sweet

Beth Anne Sweet, 37, of Concord, died Thursday at home. She was born in Concord, the daughter of Richard and Beverly (Crutchfield) Sweet. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire. Sweet worked in the retail business in Concord and Portsmouth for many years and as a lobbyist in Washington, D.C., for the late Ron Ziegler. She later worked as executive director of the New Hampshire Retail Merchants Association and recently worked as a district manager for a pharmaceutical corporation. She enjoyed the arts in all forms, gardening, cooking, and caring for her animals. Survivors include her parents; three sisters, Sharon Sweet-Kirsch, Martha McGowan, and Sarah Sweet, all of Concord; a brother, Richard Sweet Jr. of Nashua; a grandmother, Jennie Crutchfield of Concord; and a nephew and two nieces. Memorial services will be held tomorrow at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Concord. The Rev. David Jones will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Beth Sweet Memorial Fund at Riverbend, c/o Riverbend Community Mental Health, P.O. Box 2032, Concord 03302.

Jon A. Carlson, 52, of Josiah Bartlett Road in Concord, died Monday. He was born in Concord, the son of Robert and Esther (Kellom) Carlson. He graduated from Concord High School in 1969. He held a masters plumbers license and worked for Granite Group for many years as well as at Phillips Plumbing and Heating. Carlson was a member of the Independent Order of Vikings; a past member and president of the Concord Lions Club; and a volunteer for many individuals and organizations. He enjoyed outdoor activities. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Karen (Bartlett) Carlson of Concord; a son, Joshua Bartlett Carlson of Concord; a daughter, Camille Johnson of Manchester; a brother, Robert Carlson of Loudon; a sister, Mary Ellen Kenney of Boscawen; and two grandsons. His parents and a sister, Joanne Kilmister, died previously. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Concord. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Church. The Rev. David P. Jones will officiate and the Rev. John Johnson will participate. Burial will follow at Maple Grove cemetery in West Concord. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 2 Wellman Ave., Ste. 340, Nashua 03064; or to the charity of one's choice.

GILFORD - Graveside services for Howard A. Hawthorne, 86, who died Jan. 5 at Lakes Region General Hospital, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the family lot at Union Cemetery in Laconia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home in Laconia is in charge of the arrangements.

Robert O. Johnson

Robert O. Johnson, 74, of Thorndike Street died Saturday at the University Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y. He was born in Portland, Maine, the son of Everett and Grace (McLeod) Johnson. He graduated from Worcester (Mass.) High School. Johnson served in the Air Force for more than 24 years, retiring as a master sergeant in 1971, and was an aircraft electrician. Survivors include a brother, Raymond Thurston of Cortland, N.Y.; seven nieces and nephews; and eight grandnieces and grandnephews. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 6 to 8 p.m. at Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. William Keefe will officiate. Burial will follow with military honors by the Air Force at Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord.

Frank E. Stone, PEMBROKE

PEMBROKE - Frank E. Stone, 92, died Saturday at the Hospice House in Concord. He was born in Pembroke, the son of Clarence and Ruth (Garland) Stone. He lived most of his life in Pembroke. He served in the Army during World War II. He worked at J.F. McElwain Company for 25 years and for Foster Beef Company for 15 years. He later worked as a custodian at Pembroke Academy for 17 years, until the age of 91. He was a parishioner of Grace Episcopal Church. Stone was a 55-year member of the American Legion, Henry J. Sweeney Post, and a supporter and charter member of the World War II Memorial Society. He enjoyed feeding birds and maintaining his property. He raised his flag every day for over 50 years. He was honored by the Citizens Flag Alliance for his effort and support to protect the American flag. Survivors include two daughters, Priscilla Richard of Amesbury, Mass., and Sandra Rioux of Nashua; five grandchildren, David Rioux of Plymouth, Robert Rioux of Hudson, Ray Richard of Somersworth, Jennifer O'Hare of Epping and Melissa Rioux of Nashua; and seven great-grandchildren. His wife of 54 years, Ruth (Robertson) Stone, died in 2001; and a brother, Charles Stone, a sister, Priscilla Gilbert, and a grandson, Carter Richard, also died previously. Calling hours will not be held. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 607 Chestnut St, Manchester. The Rev. Nancy Packard, associate rector of Grace Episcopal Church, will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association, Hospice House, P.O. Box 1797, Concord 03302-1797.

Sharon "Sherri" Lockwood, 58, of Warren Street in Concord died yesterday at the Hospice House in Concord. She was born in Littleton, the daughter of Edward Lockwood and Rachel (Stebbins) Lockwood-Burgess. She graduated from Concord High School in 1964. Lockwood lived in Lancaster, Pa., before moving back to Concord two years ago. She worked as a receptionist in real estate and the legal field and owned and operated a day care center in Northfield. She liked arts and crafts. Survivors include her mother, Rachel Burgess of Clearfield, Pa.; a son, Shawn Economides of Weare; a daughter, Alisa Economides of Henniker; a brother, William Burgess of Tilton; two grandchildren; and two nephews. Her father and two brothers, Alan Lockwood and Robert Burgess, died previously. Calling hours will not be held. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association, Hospice House, P.O. Box 1797, Concord 03302-1797. Affordable Funeral Cremation Services Inc. James H. Tibbetts

James H. Tibbetts, 52, of Liberty Street, Concord, died Tuesday at home after a long illness. He was born in Laconia, the son of Warren and Catherine (Etchel) Tibbetts. He was raised in Laconia, where he also attended school. He served in the Army. Tibbeetts worked for Sanel Auto Parts for 28 years as parts manager in the Concord store and as store manager in Hillsboro. He was an avid golfer and gardener. He was a member and past senior vice president of the American Legion Post 21 and was an original member of the American Legion Post 21 Color Guard. Survivors include his father; his wife, Theresa (Adair) Tibbetts; three sons, Jamie Tibbetts, Derek Tibbetts and Corey Tibbetts, all of Concord; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 180 Loudon Road, Concord. Burial will follow at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.

Steven N. Yannekis

Steven N. Yannekis, 68, of Concord, died Thursday at his home. He was born in Keene, the son of Nicholas and Georgia (Viry) Yannekis. He graduated from Concord High School in 1953. He worked for Rumford Press for many years and later as a correctional officer for the New Hampshire State Prison before retiring. Yannekis was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and the State Employees Union Local 1984. He enjoyed reading and listening to classical music. Survivors include a sister, Pippina Yannekis of Concord; two brothers, James Yannekis of Concord and Gregory Yannekis of Union, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. His parents and a sister, Demetra Yannekis, died previously. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Concord. A Trisagion Service will be held during calling hours at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 68 N. State St., Concord. Father Peter Chamberas will officiate. Burial will follow at Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 68 N. State St., Concord.
