SARASOTA, Fla. - Elsie Floyd Davis, 101, formerly of Weirs Beach, died Oct. 31 at the Sunnyside Village, Sarasota, Fla., where she had lived for the past several years.
She was born in Weirs Beach, the daughter of Willis and Arvilla (Gordon) Floyd.
She lived in the Weirs most of her life.
She was the owner and inn keeper of the Shady Lawn Bed & Breakfast in the Weirs for a number of years.
She was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Society of Laconia.
She was a member of the D.A.R. in Weirs Beach, the Phillippi Club and the Grange.
She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer Davis, who died in 1966.
There are no survivors.
There are no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held at the Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, on Friday.
The Rev. Dena McPhetres, pastor of the Unitarian Universalist Society of Laconia, will officiate.

BOSCAWEN - Dorothy H. McDade, 85, of North Main Street died Saturday at her home.
She was born in Philadelphia, the daughter of Herman and Louise (Reich) Heim.
She was a registered nurse, working at the St. Joseph Hospital in Philadelphia and the Zurburgg Memorial Hospital in New Jersey.
She also worked as a nurse for the Holy Cross High School in New Jersey before retiring in 1981.
She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick McDade in 1959.
She is survived by a son, William McDade of Mt. Laurel, N.J.; a daughter, Louise Tatkovsky of Andover; two brothers, Joseph Heim of Bellmawr, N.J., and David Heim of Cinnaminson, N.J.; two sisters, Margaret McDevitt of Allentown, Pa., and Sister Mary Magdelin of Indiana; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held in Riverside, N.J.
The Bennett Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Robert C. Tilton, FRANKLIN

FRANKLIN - Robert Coolidge Tilton, 74, of Gilman Street died Saturday at the Franklin Regional Hospital following a short illness.
He was born in Andover, the son of Harold and Nellie (Lockwood) Tilton.
Tilton was a resident of Franklin for more than 49 years.
He was employed for more than 20 years with the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, and prior to his retirement in 1989 he was assistant patrolman of the Franklin branch of the Transportation Department.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Margret (Hill) Tilton of Franklin; five sons, John Tilton of Franklin, Michael Tilton of Franklin, David Tilton of Penacook , Timothy Tilton of Franklin and Michael Tilton of Salisbury; four daughters, Barbara Barton of Andover, Nancy Kinney of Northfield, Karen Barton of Spartanburg, S.C., and Betty Abbott of Webster; 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold Tilton of Tilton and Wilfred Tilton of Northfield; four sisters, Dorothy Tilton of Medford, Mass., Geraldine Arel of Northfield, Thelma Moses of Sanbornton and Marion Panarello of Malden, Mass.; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be tomorrow from 7 to 9 a.m. in the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road in Tilton.
A funeral service will be held in the Memorial Home Wednesday at 11 a.m.
The Rev. Larry Turns, pastor of the Congregational Christian Church, UCC in Franklin, officiating. Burial will follow at the Park Cemetery in Tilton.

Emma Maynard
Emma M. Maynard, 91, of Shawmut Street, died Saturday at Pleasant View Genesis Elder Care in Concord.
Born in Loudon, she was the daughter of Fred and Margurite (Little) Parks.
She was a self-employed nanny for many years.
She was a member of the Emblem Club in Concord and the Lamplighters of East Concord.
She is survived by a daughter, M. Joanna McIntosh of Chichester; three grandsons, Mark McIntosh and Craig McIntosh of Chichester and Brent McIntosh of Pembroke; and five great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lester Maynard, who died in 1964.
Visiting hours will be held tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Concord.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
The Rev. John Loker will be officiating.
Burial will take place at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Loudon Village.

NORTHFIELD - John E. Lewis, 42, of Sandogardy Pond Road died yesterday at the Harris Hill Center in Concord.
The former Laconia resident died from injuries sustained in an accident on June 9.
He was born in Laconia, the son of Arthur and Grace (Sewell) Lewis Jr.
He lived in Laconia for many years and graduated from Laconia High School in 1974.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lakes Church, Laconia.
He was employed by the State of New Hampshire for 17 years as a maintenance man.
He worked first at the Laconia State School and Training Center and later at the New Hampshire State Hospital in Concord.
Lewis is survived by his mother; his wife, Kim Lewis of Northfield; twin sons, Eric and Trevor Lewis of Gilford; a step-son, Jason Bixby of Northfield; a step-daughter, Shilah Bixby of Northfield; two brothers, Arthur Lewis III of Pittsfield, Mass., and Timothy Lewis of Sanbornton; and several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his father, Arthur Lewis Jr., who died in 1998.
Calling hours will be held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 50 Washington St., Laconia on Wednesday at 1 p.m.

GILFORD - Carole L. (Gallo) Fennessey, 62, of Bacon Drive died early Saturday morning at the Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia.
She was born in Dorchester, Mass., the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Bonelli) Gallo.
She was educated in the Dorchester school system and was a longtime resident of Canton, Mass., prior to moving to Gilford in 1994.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lakes Church in Lakeport.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Robert Fennessey of Gilford; two sons, Richard Fennessey of Pittsfield and Robert Fennessey of Mansfield, Mass.; two daughters, Diane Dors of Stoughton, Mass., and Debbie Roman of Laconia; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Frances Nichols of Laconia; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Janet Douglas, who died in 1984 and Marie Gallo, who died in 1986.
Calling hours will be tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dewhirst Funeral Home, 1061 Union Ave., Laconia.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednsday at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Lakes Church, Lakeport, with Rev. George J. Soberick, pastor, as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Gilford.

Ruth J. Anderson, 97, died Saturday at Havenwood Heritage Heights Health Care Center in Concord.
She was born in Lynn, Mass., the daughter of William and Edna (Jackson) Jelly.
She was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School and the Jackson College of Tufts University in 1924.
She was a public school teacher in Shelton, Conn., Swampscott and Marblehead, Mass.
She was a member of the Chi Omega sorority.
She was active in drama and Summer stock in the Lynn area.
She attended the First Church in Swampscott.
She lived in Rockport, Mass., and Swampscott, Mass., before moving into Havenwood in 1990.
She was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Herbert Anderson, in 1961; her daughter, Betty Glacken, in 1976; and her sister, Dorothy Gibbons, in 1995.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Edythe Anderson of New London; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Pine Grove Cemetery.

GOFFSTOWN - Jean Kathleeen Dupuis, 66, died Monday.
She was born in Hull, Yorkshire England, the daughter of Albert and Edith (Normand) Lapington.
She worked as a nurses aide at the Bel-Air Nursing Home and Moore General Hospital.
She was a member of the St. Matthew Episcopal Church.
She was a resident of Goffstown for 36 years after moving from Rochester.
Survivors include her husband, James Dupuis of Goffstown; two sons, James Dupuis of Auburn and Michael Dupuis of Dunbarton; a daughter, Gail Veilleux of Goffstown; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a brother, Gordon Lapington of Gloucester, England.
There are no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Westlawn Cemetery.

NEWPORT - Louis "Old Man of the Mountain" L. Ansart, 95, died yesterday at the Sullivan County Nursing Home.
He was born in Claremont, the son of Arthur and Florence (Moore) Ansart.
He was a machinist and toolmaker for several years at Unicraft Corp., Sturm Ruger and Federal Tool, all in Newport.
He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He held the state championship in archery.
He was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn (Bagley) Ansart.
Survivors include two daughters, Jackie Miller of Newport and Karen Willis of Newbury; two sons, Louis Ansart Jr. of Sunapee and Ronald Ansart of Newbury; one brother, Arthur Ansart Jr. of Springfield, Mass.; one sister, Bertina Mayo of Holyoke, Mass.; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
