NORTHFIELD - Helen L. (Goetze) Hoysradt, 89, died Sunday at Concord Hospital after a long illness.
She was born in Bronx, N.Y., the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Krause) Goetze. She lived in the Bronx for many years before moving to Wilton, Maine, where she lived for 17 years prior to moving to Northfield.
She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in the Bronx.
She worked as a secretary at Columbia University in New York City.
She was a member of the Congregational Church of Laconia.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin Hoysradt Jr. of Northfield; a son, William Hoysradt of Manchester; and two grandchildren.
There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Congregational Church of Laconia.
Burial will be held at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Bronx, N.Y.

Gerard Dickson, PASADENA, Calif.

PASADENA, Calif. - Gerard Dickson, 56, of East Green Street, died Aug. 3 at home.
He was born in Laconia, the son of Anthenedore and Rena (Cormier) Dickson. He lived in Laconia for several years before moving to Tilton. He later moved to Cleveland and Los Angeles before finally moving to Pasadena, Calif.
He attended school in Laconia and the Tilton-Northfield High School.
Survivors include a sister, Claire Dickson of Franklin; a brother, Norman Dickson of Cleveland; an aunt, an uncle, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held privately.

Douglas C. Merrill, WILTON

WILTON - Douglas Copp Merrill, 57, of Maple Street, died Aug. 9 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua.
He was born in Concord, the son of William and Lois (Copp) Dearborn.
He was a graduate of the New England Aeronautical Institute.
He served with the U.S. Air Force and was employed as a salesman for Brox Industries.
He was a member of the Odd Fellows Pilgrim Fellowship, the American Legion in Milford and the Milford & Co. Motorcycle Club. He attended the Congregational churches in Dunbarton and Concord.
He was predeceased by his father, Robert Mack Merrill Jr.
Survivors include his parents, of Dunbarton; his wife of 32 years, Mary (Power) Merrill of Wilton; a son, Jason Merrill of Wilton; two daughters, Alice Cutting of Sandown and Tina Bryand of Grafton; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandson; four brothers, Robert Merrill III of Apache Junction, Ariz., Richard Dearborn of Meredith, William Dearborn of Epsom and Ralph "Chip" Merrill of Penacook; two sisters, Prudence Merrill-Wheeler of Concord and Susan Dearborn Cluff of Chocorua; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours and a memorial service were held Sunday at the West Congregational Church in Concord.

Marion B. (Wheeler) Carson, of Concord and a former resident of Pembroke, died Saturday at the Pleasant View Nursing Home.
She was born in Concord, the daughter of Charles and Blanche (Hubbard) Wheeler. She lived in Concord for most of her life.
She was predeceased by her husband, John Carson, in 1995; and two sisters, Marjorie Cushing and Helen Perry.
Survivors include a sister, Minnie Maltais of Pembroke; and several cousins.
Funeral services were held privately.

LACONIA - Roger O. Ackley, 64, of Wellington Drive and formerly of Edwards Street, died Saturday at the Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia.
He was born in Stafford Springs, Conn., the son of George and Mildred (Hurley) Ackley. He had lived in Laconia since 1976, previously living in Coventry, Conn.
He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.
He had formerly been employed with the University of Connecticut in Storrs, Conn., as the athletic equipment manager for many years. Following his move to New Hampshire, he worked at the New Hampton School.
He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, a member of the Wilkins-Smith Post No. 1 of the American Legion, and a member of the Eastern Connecticut Sportsman's Club of Warrenville, Conn.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine (Troiano) Ackley of Laconia; a son, Dennis Ackley of Cleveland; a daughter, Michelle Ackley-Allain of Manchester; two grandchildren; a brother, Donald Ackley of Mansfield Center, Conn.; a sister, Bertha Staffhorst of Willimantic, Conn.; and nephews and nieces.
Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Church, 30 Church St., Laconia. The Rev. Gary Kosmowski, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow at the St. Lambert Cemetery in Laconia.

BELMONT - Leslie Ford Aselton, 38, of Province Road, died suddenly Thursday at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia.
She was born in Laconia, the daughter of Marshall and Marguerite (Paquette) Ford. She lived most of her life in Belmont.
She graduated from Belmont High School in 1979 and attended the University of New Hampshire. She was a paralegal in the Lakes Region and had been a day-care provider.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Belmont.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Aselton Jr. of Belmont; two daughters, Ashley Aselton and Kali Aselton, both of Belmont; a brother, Kevin Ford of Belmont; two sisters, Katherine Brisendine of Laconia and Wanda Cote of Danville; her parents, Marshall and Marguerite Ford of Belmont; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Belmont. The Rev. Albert Tremblay Jr., pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow in the family lot in Union Cemetery in Laconia.

Harry C. Cutting Sr., 83, of Runnells Road, died Aug. 7 at the Hospice House in Concord.
He was born in Concord, the son of William Sr. and Ethel (Webster) Cutting. He lived in the Concord-Penacook area all of his life.
He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
He worked for 35 years as a purchasing agent and department manager at the Merrimack Farmers' Exchange, where he retired in 1980.
He attended the United Church of Penacook and was a former 4-H leader. He enjoyed gardening, the outdoors and the Contoocook River.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Cecile (Fournier) Cutting of Concord; a son, Harry Cutting Jr. of Manchester; four daughters, Ethel Furlong of Penacook, Carol Barton of West Boston, Vt., Eva Cutting of Pittsfield, Mass., and Susan Gay of Plymouth, Mass.; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Cutting of Penacook; three sisters, Pauline White of Virginia, Berle Shepard of Concord and Judith Jameson of Canaan; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the United Church of Penacook. The Rev. John Westhaver, pastor, will officiate. Private graveside services were held in Blossom Hill Cemetery.

Ethel C. Downing, 88, of Route 3, died July 8 at Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth.
Born in Woodstock, she was the daughter of Vincent and Pauline (Brown) Sawyer.
She attended Woodstock schools and was a member of Pemi Valley Church of Woodstock. She also was a former member of the Lincoln-Woodstock Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.
She was predeceased by her husband, Malcolm Downing, who died in 1988; and a son, David Downing.
Survivors include a sister, Helen Ricker of Woodstock; and a brother, Lloyd Sawyer of Concord.
There are no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held today at 11 a.m. at Woodstock Cemetery. The Rev. John Muehlke, pastor of Pemi Valley Church, will officiate.

Mildred K. Perkins, 92, died yesterday at Pleasant View Center Genesis Eldercare.
She was born in Littleton, the daughter of Fred and Carlotta (Kimball) Kelley.
She was a 1930 graduate of Plymouth State College.
She was assistant chairwoman for the New Hampshire State Republican Committee in 1958 and was vice president of the National Federation of Republican Women from 1965 to 1967. She was a trustee for the University of New Hampshire and Plymouth State College and was co-founder of the New Hampshire Lawyer's Wives Association and past president of the New Hampshire Hospital Auxiliary. She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the West Concord Garden Club. She held an honorary doctorate degree from the University of New Hampshire in humane letters and was honorary chairwoman of the Plymouth State College Alumni Association Robert Frost Contemporary American Award Committee.
She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Perkins, in 1986; and a brother, Clinton Kelley.
Survivors include two sons, Harold Perkins of Contoocook and Francis Perkins of Southborough, Mass.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Manley Butterworth, MANCHESTER

MANCHESTER - Manley Butterworth, 58, died on Friday at Hospice House in Concord.
He was born on Feb. 24, 1942, in Buffalo, N.Y, the son of David and Mary (Martin) Butterworth. A veteran of the service, Manley served his country with the U.S. Navy.
Butterworth worked at Allied Mineral and Chemical in Pennsylvania as a plastic welder for many years. He also lived for several years in Colorado, where he worked as a miner. In 1993, he moved to Manchester, where he worked for Plastics Supply Co.
Butterworth's family members include two sons, Shawn Butterworth of Manchester and Ian Butterworth of Pennsylvania; two daughters, Kim Kilbride of Berlin and Shannon Butterworth of Pennsylvania; one brother, Charles Butterworth of Buffalo, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Miltiadis "Milton" K. Maloutas, 58, of South Street in Concord, died on Friday at the Lahey-Hitchcock Clinic in Burlington, Mass., after a short illness.
He was born in Servia, Greece, the son of Kleanthis and Marianthi (Lepidas) Maloutas. He was the owner and operator of the Gas Lighter Restaurant in Concord for 25 years.
He was a lifelong member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Concord and a member of the AHEPA Organization.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Soula (Mayiakas) Maloutas of Concord; two daughters, Maria Maloutas of Quincy, Mass., and Cleo Maloutas of Jamison, Pa.; one sister, Aspasia Kissas of Somerville, Mass.; two brothers, Athanasios Maloutas of Somerville, Mass., and Panagiotis Maloutas of Servia, Greece; and six nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St. in Concord. A Trisagion service will be at 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church at 68 N. State St. in Concord. The Rev. Peter Chamberas will officiate. Burial will be held at the Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord.

Crete Carll Tracy

Crete Tracy, 100, died Thursday at the Pleasant View Center Genesis Eldercare, five days after celebrating her birthday with more than 30 friends and family members.
She was born in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, the second of three daughters of Jason Carll and Annie (Libby) Carll.
She was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Bates College in 1921 and went to her 75th reunion at Bates in 1996 - the only member of her class able to return.
Tracy taught English, history and Spanish at Hanover High School from 1921 to 1922, when she married fellow Bates graduate Leighton Tracy.
The couple moved to New York and lived abroad in London and Kuwait.
Tracy served on the board of directors of The Manor Club in Pelham, N.Y., for six years and was the club's president from 1958 to 1960.
She is predeceased by her husband. Surviving family members include her son, Carll Tracy, and daughter, Glora Cassaboon, both of Laconia; and by nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
It was her request that there be no flowers, no memorial service and immediate cremation.
