OCEAN GROVE, N.J. - Charlotte C. Burrowes, 86, died Friday. She lived in Leonia, N.J., Pennington, N.J., and Penacook before moving to Francis Asbury Manor. She graduated from Mt. Sinai School of Nursing in New York, N.Y. She was active with the United Methodist Woman and Mission activities; member of choirs in Leonia, N.J., and Penacook, where she was also a soloist; and was author of many Christmas poems. She enjoyed knitting for world relief agencies. Survivors include her husband, Paul Burrowes; three sons, Melvin Burrowes of Concord, Paul Burrowes of Lanoka Harbor, N.J., and Ted Burrowes of Vienna, Va.; a daughter, Frieda Burrowes of Lake Shawnee, N.J.; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. in Francis Asbury Manor in Ocean Grove, N.J. DEERING - David Recupero, 42, died Thursday at Concord Hospital. He was born in Lawrence, Mass., the son of Salvatore and Lorraine (Ameen) Recupero. He lived in Lawrence, Mass., for many years, moving to Deering two years ago. He worked as a real estate agent for Century 21 McLennon & Company. He was a member of the Weare Bible Baptist Church of Weare. He was predeceased by a brother, Salvatore Recupero. Survivors include his father and stepmother, Salvatore and Lorraine Recupero of Deltona, Fla.; his wife of 19 years, Susan (Dussault) Recupero of Deering; five sons, David Recupero, Daniel Recupero, Jonathan Recupero, Andrew Recupero and Samuel Recupero, all of Deering; three daughters, Rebekah Recupero, Priscilla Recupero and Lydia Recupero, all of Deering; a brother, Steven Recupero of Lawrence, Mass.; and a sister, Lucille Conrady of Montgomery, Ill. Margaret W. Sawyer, 89, of Concord, died yesterday at Havenwood Nursing Home in Concord. She was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt., the daughter of John and Eleanor (Collins) Durgin. She attended the University of New Hampshire for two years. She worked as a secretary and receptionist for the New Hampshire Historical Society. She also worked as a substitute teacher at Concord High School. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Concord where she was a deacon, trustee and past president of the Women's Guild. She was a member of the New Hampshire Historical Society, Concord Hospital Associates, Order of the Eastern Star in Woodstock; active with the Girls Scouts, Cub Scouts and was a camp fire instructor; and volunteered at Havenwood Nursing Home when it first opened. She was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd Sawyer, who died Oct. 8. Survivors include three sons, Lloyd Sawyer Jr. of Lynchburg, Va., Wendell Sawyer of Corona del Mar, Calif., and Mark Sawyer of Bow; a daughter, Roanne Sanborn of Loudon; a brother, Robert Durgin of Brandenton, Fla.; a sister, Jeannette Rockwell of Sarasota, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held alongside her husband at a later date. Burial will follow in Woodstock Cemetery. LOWELL, Mass. - Jacqueline R. Welton, 70, died Sunday at her home. She was born in Swampscott, Mass., the daughter of John and Hazel (Hunt) Calhoun. She graduated from Sacred Heart Grammar School and Lowell High School. She worked for Wang Laboratories for 15 years, retiring in 1986. She was a former communicant of Sacred Heart Church and was a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Welton. Survivors include a son, Raymond Welton of East Windsor, Conn.; three daughters, Donna Philbrook of Lowell, Mass., Gail Welton of Penacook, and Deborah Panas of Chester; three brothers, William Calhoun and Leo Calhoun, both of Lowell, Mass., and James Calhoun of Florida; 13 grandchildren; five grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Mahoney Funeral Home, 187 Nesmith St., Lowell, Mass. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. ALEXANDRIA - George R. Wallace, 69, of Ragged Mt. Highway died yesterday at Franklin Regional Hospital. He was born in Bristol, the son of Charles and Dorothy (Dean) Wallace. He has been a lifelong resident of the Bristol, Hill, Danbury and Alexandria areas. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Prior to his retirement he worked at IPC in Bristol. He was predeceased by one daughter, Carol Wallace, in Aug. 1986. Survivors include his wife, Elaine (Sylvester) Wallace of Alexandria; one daughter, Lynne Richford of Hill; one son, George Wallace of Concord; and three grandchildren. GILFORD - Rita P. Watson, 76, of 60 Watson Road, Gilford, died at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon on Nov. 21.
She was born May 9, 1922, in Laconia, the daughter of Ralph and M. Laura (St. Cyr) Fifield.
She had been a lifelong resident of the Lakes Region.
She was the bookkeeper for her husband's electrical business for many years. She was a member of the Gilford Community Church.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Robert Watson of Gilford; a son, Bradley Watson of Hopkinton; three grandchildren; three sisters, Arline Lamere of Somerfield, Fla., Dorothy Cotnoir of Laconia and Eleanor Cupit of Plano, Texas; and several nephews and nieces.
There are no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held at the Gilford Community Church tomorrow at 11 a.m. The Rev. Dr. James Bolin, minister of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Gilford.

LACONIA - Rudolph E. "Rudy" Cate, 75, of 265 North St., Lakeport, died at the Lakes Region General Hospital, Nov. 24.
Born in Laconia, July 12, 1923, he was the son of Eben and Vernie (White) Cate. He had lived in Laconia all his life.
He had been employed by the New England Telephone Company for 37 years as a tester, retiring in 1981.
He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.
He was a member of the Laconia Congregational Church and was also a member of the Mt. Lebanon Lodge, No. 32, F. & A.M.
Family members include his wife, Barbara (Newell) Cate of Laconia; two sons, Brendon Cate of Plymouth and Charles Cate of Lakeport; three daughters, Linda Ann Stitt of Lakeport, Colleen Brooks of Belmont and Pamela Watson of Boscawen; three step-sons, Robert Reinholz of Wales, Mass., Rodric Reinholz of Ashland and Randall Reinholz of New Jersey; two step-daughters, Roya Snow of Gilmanton and Rhonda Moran of Milford, Mass.; seven granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; one sister, Virginia Gove of Concord; one nephew; one niece; and many cousins.

A memorial service will be held at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, on Monday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. E. Barent Grevatt, pastor of the Congregational Church of Laconia, officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery in Laconia.

Mary Allen
HOOKSETT - Mary (Foss) Allen, age 84, of Hooksett, died Nov. 25. She was born in Manchester on April 14, 1914, the daughter of the late Lewis and Elizabeth (MacDonald) Foss.
She was a resident of Hooksett since 1961, after living in Germany. She graduated from Manchester Central High School and then attended the Elliot School of Nursing, where she graduated in 1936. She was a nurse at Elliot Hospital and also worked as a private duty nurse. Most recently she was employed as a registered nurse at Demers Nursing Home. She retired in 1976.
She was a communicant of St. Catherine Church in Manchester. She was a member of the Hooksett Women's Club and the Elliot Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association. She was also a charter member of the Hooksetties.
Members of her family include two sons, William Allen of Manchester and Ronald Allen of Wells, Maine; two grandsons; two granddaughters; two brothers, Laurence Foss and Paul Maynard Foss, both of Manchester; and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lt. Col. William Allen, who died in 1968; two brothers, Donald Foss and Edgar Foss; and a sister, Muriel Wilson.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Goodwin Funeral Home, 607 Chestnut St., Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Catherine Church, 267 Webster St., Manchester. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Bedford.

CONTOOCOOK - Madeline P. (Colby) Fuller, 82, formerly of Main Street, Contoocook, died Nov. 25 at the Maple Lane Nursing Home in Barton, Vt. She was born in Warner and lived in Contoocook until she retired to Edgewater, Fla. She lived in Barton, Vt., for the past two years.
She was the daughter of the late Addison and Elsie (Morton) Colby. She was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Perry, who died in Nov. 1995, and by her husband, Robert Fuller, who died in Dec. 1992.
She was a member of the Countryside Community Church.
She is survived by two sons, George Irving Fuller, of Vermont, and Robert Byron Fuller, of Bridgeport, Conn.; two sisters, Jeannette Smith of Manchester and Brattleboro, Vt., Elaine Emerton of Goffstown; one brother, George Colby of Merriata, Calif.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

MANCHESTER - Cathleen G. Welch, 96, of Myrtle Street, died Tuesday at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home, Manchester.
She was born in Concord, the daughter of John and Frances (Sweeney) Crowley.
She was a lifelong Concord resident, a 1921 graduate of Concord High School and a graduate of Concord Business College.
She was a member of St. Peter's Church, Concord.
She was predeceased by her husband, Norris Welch.
She is survived by two daughters, Frances Barker of Swampscott, Mass., and Sylvia Gendrop of Boston, Mass.; three grandchildren, William Gendrop, Deborah Lee and Kathleen Gendrop; and two great-grandchildren.
A calling hour will be held today from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main St., Concord.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated today at 1 p.m. in St. Peter's Church. The Rev. Rafal Kopystynski, assistant pastor, will be the celebrant.

PLYMOUTH - Sara W. "Sukey" Moses, 86, formerly of Cummings Street, died Sunday at the Odd Fellows Home in Concord.
She was born in Haverhill, the daughter of Tilden and Mary (Page) Wright. She spent her childhood in Pike and was a 1930 graduate of Haverhill Academy. She earned a business degree from Concord Business School in 1932.
She was the owner and operator of Moses Insurance Agency, Main Street, Plymouth, for many years. She also did clerical work for Guinan's Dugout and Speare Memorial Hospital, and worked as the secretary of Plymouth Congregational Church for eight years.
After selling her insurance agency, she worked for Noyes Insurance Agency, Plymouth.
She was a member of the Plymouth Congregational Church and the Haverhill Historical Society, and a former member of the Plymouth Historical Society and the Squam Lakes Association. She volunteered for the Speare Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, working on the annual hospital fair, for many years.
She enjoyed quilting and golf.
She is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon St., Plymouth.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Plymouth congregational Church. The Rev. Judith Gooch, pastor, and the Rev. Philip Hart will officiate. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in Ladd Cemetery, Haverhill.
