Henry Matulaitis, BOW
Monday, September 25, 2000

BOW - Henry Matulaitis, 82, of Albin Road, died yesterday at his home.

He was born in Boston, the son of Joseph and Nellie (Lukascewicz) Matulaitis.

He served the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War.

He was a graduate of Concord High School and lived in Deerfield and Concord before he moved to Bow in 1963.

He worked for H.E. Humphreys for 20 years and then for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 1980.

He was predeceased by a son, Henry Matulaitis Jr., in 1985.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Arlene (Dudley) Matulaitis of Bow; two daughters, Carol Bresaw of Dover and Cheryl Murphy of Bow; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be held in Evans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the CRVNA Hospice Program, P.O. Box 1797, Concord 03302-1797.

The Bennett Funeral Home in Concord is in charge of the arrangements.

Bonnie Lynn Davis , MARION, Ill.
Monday, September 25, 2000
MARION, Ill. - Bonnie Lynn Davis, 40, died Sept. 15.
She was born in Concord, the daughter of Kenneth Stevens and Sandy (Walker) Rossier. She married Chris Davis in Loudon in 1992.
She was a student working on her teaching certificate.
She was predeceased by her stepfather, Roland Rossier, in 1998.
Survivors include two daughters, Erica Davis and Alexis Davis, both of Marion, Ill.; two brothers, Michael Stevens of Springhill, Fla., and Robert Rossier of North Stonington, Conn.; a sister, Sue Elliott of Louisville, Colo.; a grandmother, Winnie Walker of Concord; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Harry A. Frye, HOOKSETT
Tuesday, September 26, 2000
HOOKSETT - Harry A. Frye, 60, died Sept. 2 at Concord Hospital.
He was born in Nashua, the son of Alfred and Ruth (Scott) Frye.
He was a teacher at Pembroke Academy for several years.
He was a member of the Hooksett Lions Club and the New Hampshire Retired Teachers Association. He was a historian for the B & M Railroad Historical Society.
Survivors include two aunts, Beulah White and Emily Winn.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m. at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Concord. The Rev. Charles Heslam, pastor of the West Congregational Church, will officiate.
A private burial service will be held in the Weare Center Cemetery.

Nancy N. MacNeill, CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla.
Tuesday, September 26, 2000
CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. - Nancy (Nicoll) MacNeill, 71, died Saturday at her home family in Florida.
She was born in Concord, the daughter of Flora and William Nicoll. She moved to Crystal River from Gaitlersburg, Md., nine years ago.
She was a regional administrator for NCR-Comten before her retirement.
She was the former president of Tom Pond Protective Association and co-commissioner of the Clan MacNeil Association of America for New England and the mid-Atlantic regions.
She received a certificate of recognition from the New Hampshire Volunteer Lake Assessment Program. She was a den mother for the Cub Scouts of America and received an award for outstanding community service.
Survivors include her husband, Charles MacNeill of Crystal River, Fla.; three sons, Peter MacNeill of Crystal River, Fla., Philip MacNeill of Bethesda, Md., and Paul MacNeill of Brunswick, Md.; and three grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held tomorrow at noon at Brown Funeral Home in Crystal River, Fla.
Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
A private cremation will take place under the direction of the funeral home.

Douglas A. Kingsley, CONTOOCOOK
Monday, September 25, 2000
CONTOOCOOK - Douglas A. Kingsley, 57, of Maple Street, died Thursday at his home after a brief illness.
He was born in Port Huron, Mich., the son of Max and Thelma (Bartlett) Kingsley.
He received his bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Michigan State University.
He was a police officer in Lansing, Mich., for 10 years.
He was the owner of North Country Upholstery and Design, specializing in the restoration work and period interior decorating and design.
He was an antique dealer and collector.
He loved the outdoors and was an avid fly fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth (Baranic) Kingsley of Contoocook; a son, Steven Kingsley of Tacoma, Wash.; a daughter, Paige Kingsley-Morse of Henniker; and two grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Monday at 4 p.m. at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Concord.
Memorial donations may be made to the Contoocook Riverway Association, Box 789, Contoocook 03229.

Marjorie M. Weydemann, BARNSTEAD
Monday, September 25, 2000
BARNSTEAD - Marjorie M. Weydemann, 59, of Garland Road, died Thursday at the Concord Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Laconia, the daughter of Raymond and Mildred (Blake) Adams. She moved from the Lakeport area 40 years ago and had since lived in the Pittsfield/Barnstead area.
She worked as a special tester at Sprague Electric for almost 40 years.
She was involved with the New Hampshire Doberman Rescue League in Rochester.
Survivors include her husband, Roland Weydemann of Barnstead; three brothers, Richard Adams of Gilford, Roland Adams of Tilton, and Raymond Adams of Meredith; a sister, Mary Hart of Concord; many nieces and nephews; and aunts and uncles.
Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Perkins Funeral Home, 60 Main St., Pittsfield.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Florent Bilodeau, pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Concord, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Riverview Cemetery in Barnstead.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the NHDRL, P.O. Box 1911, Rochester 03866-1911.
The Perkins Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

William M. Brunt, ASHLAND
Tuesday, September 26, 2000
ASHLAND - William M. Brunt, 58, died Sunday at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester after a brief illness.
He was the son of William and Dorothy (Baker) Brunt and lived in Ashland most of his life.
He was a member of the VFW in Bristol and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He worked for Freudenberg-NOK for 40 years before retiring in 1999.
He was predeceased by a sister, Jane Proulx.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Barbara Brunt, of Ashland; a daughter, Robin Brunt of Ashland; four brothers, Wayne Brunt of Meredith, Harold Brunt of Bridgewater, James Brunt of Ashland and Richard Brunt of Florida; two grandchildren; and three sisters, Terry White, of Laconia, and Dorothy Baker and Hiedi Pagano, both of Florida.
Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dupuis Funeral Home in Ashland.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Ashland Baptist Church. The Rev. Everett Palmer will officiate.

David B. Parker, BARRE, Vt.
Tuesday, September 26, 2000
BARRE, Vt. - David B. Parker, 75, died Friday at home after a brief illness.
He was born in Milford, the son of Harold and Alice Parker.
He was a 1943 graduate of Montpelier High School and attended the University of New Hampshire.
He served as a bombardier navigator for two years with the U.S. Air Force.
He worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield for 33 years retiring as the president of the Vermont Plan in 1985. Prior to that time, he worked for Capital Savings Bank in Montpelier for three years and in the insurance field for two years.
He was a charter member and president of the Montpelier Lions Club and the zone chairman of District No. 45. He was on the board of directors and treasurer of the Montpelier Chamber of Commerce.
He was a member of the Montpelier Theater Guild, treasurer of the Babe Ruth League and the Montpelier town chairman of the American Red Cross.
He was a longtime member of the Montpelier Elks Club and the American Legion.
He was predeceased by a sister, Martha Durham and a brother, Morris "Bud" Parker.
Survivors include his wife, Georgiana Parker, of Barre, Vt.; a son, David Parker Jr. of Contoocook; a daughter, Sarah Smith of Barre, Vt.; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice Inc., 600 Granger Road, Barre, Vt. 05641.

Joseph S. Flowers , BOW
Tuesday, September 26, 2000
BOW - Joseph S. Flowers, 53, of Page Road, died yesterday at the Hospice House in Concord.
He was born in Wilmington, Del., the son of Anthony and Emily (Kowalski) Flowers.
He graduated from Concrad High School in Woodcrest, Del. He received his bachelor's degree in political science from Lake Forest College in Chicago, Ill. and his law degree from Washington and Lee University in Virginia.
He worked as a staff attorney for Jefferson Pilot Financial for many years.
He was active in politics and a supporter of the Olympics.
Survivors include a brother, the Rev. Thomas Flowers of Middletown, Del.; a sister, Ann Barnhart of Killeen, Texas; and two nephews.
Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord.
Burial will be in the Cathedral Cemetery in Wilmington, Del.
Donations may be made to the St. Joseph's Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 196, Middletown, Del. 19709.

Adolph J. Daroska, PITTSFIELD
Tuesday, September 26, 2000
PITTSFIELD - Adolph J. Daroska, 87, died Sunday at the Concord Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born in Pittsfield, the son of Joseph and Pauline (Hecman) Darsoska. He lived in Pittsfield all of his life.
He was a 1931 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was the owner and operator of A.J. Daroska Motor Transportation for more than 50 years.
He was a lifelong communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Pittsfield.
He was a selectman for the town of Pittsfield and a member of the Pittsfield Historical Society and the VFW.
He received an award from the American Legion for 50 years of membership.
He was a member of the Pittsfield Parks and Recreation Department and served as chairman of the dam and swimming pool committees and was a member of the board of directors of Suncook Lake Ridge Road Associates.
He was named Pittsfield Citizen of the Year in 1987.
He was awarded two Paul Harris Fellowship Awards and was an active member of the Rotary Club for 17 years. He was awarded the Pittsfield Super Salesman Rotary Foundation Raffle Award in 1993 and a certificate of appreciation from the Capital City Rotary Club.
He was honored in 1994 with a special citation by the American Truck Historical Society as a founder of the trucking industry.
He was involved with the Drake Field restoration, the renovation project of the Forrest B. Argue Memorial swimming pool.
He was awarded the president's Master's Woodsman Award for outstanding community service in 1984.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Helen (Macek) Daroska; two daughters, Maryann Hardwicke of Canyon, Calif., and Martha Moloy of Pittsfield; a granddaughter; a brother, Benjamin Daroska of Chichester; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Perkins Funeral Home, 60 Main St., Pittsfield.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Pittsfield. The Rev. Georges deLaire, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Pittsfield.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pittsfield Rotary Club, P.O. Box 104, Pittsfield 03263.

Hazel M. Hosmer, SUTTON
Monday, September 25, 2000
SUTTON - Hazel M. (Nye) Hosmer, 89, of Route 114, died Wednesday at the New London Hospital.
She was born in Wilmot Flat, the daughter of Emil and Ethel (Prescott) Nye.
She moved to Sutton in her teens and worked for Harold and Margaret Chadwick. She had been a homemaker and cared for area children as well as many foster children.
She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, George Hosmer Sr., in 1987; a grandson, Timothy Hosmer, in 1986; and two brothers, Harley Nye in 1969 and Wilfred Nye in 1999.
Survivors include two sons, Charley Hosmer of Newbury and George Hosmer Jr. of Sutton; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Lillian Moore of Eastport, Maine; a niece and nephews.
A graveside service will be held today at 2 p.m. in Millwoods Cemetery, South Sutton. Mr. Fred Davis will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sutton F.A.S.T. Squad, c/o Wendy Grimes, Valley Road, No. Sutton 03260.
