Harry O. Swett, LAKELAND, Fla.

LAKELAND, Fla. - Harry O. Swett, 96, formerly of Danbury, died Saturday.
He was born in Bridgewater, Mass., the son of Frank and Kate (Darcy) Swett. He lived in Danbury and operated a farm for more than 40 years before moving to Lakeland in 1991.
He worked for the New Hampshire State Highway Department and was a machinist for Webster Valve in Franklin from 1960 to 1972.
He served on the Danbury Board of Selectmen for 12 years and was a justice of the Danbury Municipal Court.
He served on the Volunteer Fire Department.
He was a member of Union Lodge No. 79, F & AM of Bristol, and was a Mason for more than 50 years.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Nelson Swett, Burness Swett and Olin Swett; a sister, Nellie Rounds; his first wife, Amy Swett, in 1971; and his second wife, Rose Swett, in 1991.
Survivors include his daughter, Sandra Putnam of Lakeland, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Ruby DeBay of Orange City, Fla.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Chadwick Funeral Home, 174 Main St., New London.
Funeral services will follow at 11:30 at the funeral home. The Rev. Renee Kaufman will officiate.
Burial will be in the Riverdale Cemetery in Danbury.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Hampshire Masonic Home, 813 Beech St., Manchester 03104.

Marguerite M. York, LACONIA

LACONIA - Marguerite M. York, 84, of 175 Blueberry Lane, died Monday at the Genesis Eldercare Network in Laconia.
Seh was born in Caribou, Maine, the daughter of Georgia and John Forbes. She moved from Caribou, Maine, to Laconia 41 years ago.
She worked in food service at the Belknap County Nursing Home in Laconia for several years.
She was a member of the Lochmere Baptist Church.
She was predeceased by Woodrow "Scout" York; a granddaughter, Cori York; and by her brothers.
She is survived by her sons, John York of Tilton, Dale Culkin of Center Ossipee, and Bob Culkin of Florida; a step-daughter, Deanna Morin of Waterbury, Conn.; many grandchildren, including Jeremy York of Laconia and Jamie York of Tilton; many great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are tomorrow from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Ralph Maxwell, pastor of the Lochmere Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia.

Emma DuBois

Emma Tenney DuBois, 91, of Court Street in Concord, died Monday at Concord Hospital.
She was born in Chester, the daughter of Walter and Myrtle (Deleski) Tenney.
She was a 1928 graduate of Pinkerton Academy and spent two years in nurse's training at the Norwalk (Conn.) Hospital.
She was a private duty nurse in the Concord area for many years before becoming the night supervisor at Merrimack County Nursing Home. She was a nursing supervisor at Havenwood Nursing Home for several years before retiring in 1977.
She was past president of the Private Duty Nurses Association. She enjoyed the outdoors and sewing.
She was predeceased by her husband, Paul DuBois, who died in 1975; a brother, Eugene Tenney; and a sister, Charlotte Weed.
Survivors include two daughters, June Latti of Concord and Carolyn McKinnon of Georgetown, Texas; a brother, Charles Tenney of Maryville, Mich.; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Concord.
Funeral services will follow on Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. David Keller, pastor of the First Congregational Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord.

Cynthia Janes Kimberley, MALONE, N.Y.
Friday, September 29, 2000
MALONE, N.Y. - Cynthia Janes Kimberley, 66, of Webster Street, died Sept. 15 at Alice Hyde Medical Center.
She was born in Waterbury, Conn., the daughter of Edmund and Charlotte Janes.
She was a graduate of St. Margaret's School in Waterbury and Colby Junior College in New London.
She was married in 1955 to John Kimberley.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church.
She was active in the Alice Hyde Medical Center Auxiliary, the Women's Fellowship of First Congregational Church, the Altrurian Club and the Elm City Chapter OES.
She was a 4-H leader of the Malone Cupcakes.
She was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Charlotte Iverson.
In addition to her husband, John Kimberley of Malone, N.Y., survivors include two sons, Matthew Kimberley of Malone, N.Y., and Christopher Kimberley of Albany, N.Y.; a daughter, Jennifer Savage of Pembroke; three grandchildren; and a niece and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Oct. 13 at the First Congregational Church in Malone, N.Y.
Donations may be made to the Malone Callfiremen, First Congregational Church Building Fund, or to the Alzheimer's Association, North Country Branch, Sibley Hall, Suite 227, SUNY-Plattsburgh, Plattsburgh, N.Y. 12901.
The Spaulding Funeral Home in Malone, N.Y., is in charge of the arrangements.

Phyllis Davis, BOW

BOW - Phyllis Davis, 80, of South Bow Road, died Sept. 24 at the Concord Hospital.
She was born in Melrose, Mass., the daughter of Alfred and Nancy (Averill) Lewis.
She was a graduate of Melrose High School and the Fanny Farmer School of Cooking in Boston.
She worked as a lab technician at HP Hood & Son in Boston before becoming a homemaker.
She was a member of the Bow Young at Heart Club and the St. Andrew Senior Group.
She enjoyed baking and cooking.
She is predeceased by a brother, Reginald Lewis.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Davis; two daughters, Nancy Davis of Weymouth, Mass., and Patricia Buck of Brentwood; a son, Kenneth Davis of Hooksett; four grandchildren; a brother, John Lewis of Malden, Mass.; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at St. Andrew Episcopal Church. The Rev. Hays Junkins officiated.
Burial was held in the Forest Glenn Cemetery in Reading, Mass.

Peter P. Veseskis

Peter P. Veseskis, 84, of Commercial Street, Concord, died Wednesday at Pleasant View Center Genesis Eldercare.
He was born in Scranton, Penn., the son of James and Katherine Veseskis.
He worked for Parkwood Laminates for more than 20 years before retiring in 1978. He also worked for the Conservation Corps.
He was past president of the local union at Parkwood.
He enjoyed fishing, Westerns, gardening and carpentry.
The last of 14 children, he was predeceased by nine brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Rose (Barasso) Veseskis of Concord; five sons, Peter Veseskis Jr. of Hawaii, James Veseskis of Colchester, Conn., Kenneth Veseskis of Marlboro, Mass., Bruce Veseskis of Concord, and Mark Veseskis of Newmarket; two daughters, Lynda Wozniak of Clifton, Va., and MaryAnn Veseskis-Esch of Strafford; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Concord.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Blossom Hill Cemetery.

Willard E. Chickering, PEMBROKE

PEMBROKE - Willard E. Chickering, 76, died yesterday at Concord Hospital.
He was born in Concord, the son of Porter and Carolyn (Saben) Chickering.
He was a tail gunner on a B-24 during World War II and spent 10 months as a prisoner of war in Germany.
He attended Bentley School of Accounting in Boston and was a graduate of Hesser College in Manchester.
He was an accountant and office manager for Merrimack Farmers Exchange for 26 years and then served as assistant treasurer at A & B Lumber for 16 years before retiring in 1995.
He was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church in Concord.
He enjoyed music and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Priscilla (Houghton) Chickering of Pembroke; three sons, Robert Chickering of Casco, Maine, Wayne Chickering of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and David Chickering of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Judith Galt of Greenville, S.C.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Chickering of Francestown; a sister, Jean Nardozzi of Concord; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Concord.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, Concord. The Rev. Dr. Chuck Phelps, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Evans Cemetery, Bow.

Real J. Michelin , HOMOSASSA SPRINGS, Fla.

HOMOSASSA SPRINGS, Fla. -- Real J. Michelin, 84, formerly of Franklin, died Wednesday at his home.
He was born in Franklin, the son of Oscar and Mary Louise (Ruel) Michelin. He lived in Franklin all of his life until moving to Florida in 1987.
He served as mayor of the city of Franklin from 1977 to 1978. He was a councilman for several years and a planning board member.
He was a supervisor at JP Stevens for many years and later at Webster Valve in Franklin for eight years before retiring in 1979.
He was a member of The Fr. AJ Timon Knights of Columbus Council No. 2170. He was a member and past faithful navigator of Knights of Columbus Assembly No. 0638 in Franklin. He was a member of Elks Lodges in Franklin and Florida.
He was a communicant of St. Paul Church.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Theresa (Arsenault) Michelin, in 1982; and his second wife, Joan (Michelin) Michelin, in 1988.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth (Dorsch) Michelin of Homosassa Springs; a son, Robert Michelin of Fishkill, N.Y.; a daughter, Nancy Vaughn of Franklin; three grandchildren; a brother, Rolland Michelin of Franklin and Boynton Beach, Fla.; a sister, Donna Jutrus of Hartford, Conn.; and nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Church, Franklin.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Franklin.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul Church, P.O. Box 490, Franklin 03235.
