Howard G. Bailey, BOSCAWEN

BOSCAWEN - Howard G. Bailey, 66, of Circle Drive, died Tuesday at his home. He was born in Warner, the son of Ralph and Evelyn (Colby) Bailey. He grew up in Salisbury. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1952. He spent eight years in Rome, N.Y., moving to Boscawen in 1965. He served with the New Hampshire National Guard until serving as a sergeant with the Air Force. He worked at the Merrimack Manufacturing Company in Boscawen for 15 years. Recently he was a supervisor at the New Kearsarge Reel Company in Contoocook, where he worked for 20 years. He was a member of the Den Brae Golf Club in Sanbornton since 1971, serving as president of its association, and was active in running many events and serving as chairman of many committees. He was an active member of the Franklin Lodge of Elks, BPOE No. 1280 in Franklin for 27 years. He was a civil war enthusiast and had many interests in memorabilia. He was also a NASCAR fan. He was predeceased by a brother, Edward Bailey, who died in 2000. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Edie (Smith) Bailey of Boscawen; three daughters, Sandra Clifford of Somerville, S.C., Roxanne Mead of Franklin, and Evelyn Pendleton of Webster; a brother, Raymond Bailey of Bristol; a sister, Barbara Schaefer of Hudson; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held today from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. in the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road, Tilton. An Elks Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. during calling hours. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. in the memorial home. The Rev. Betty French, pastor of the Webster Congregational Church, will officiate. Burial will be held in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, New England Affiliates, 20 Speen St., Framingham, Mass. 01701-4688.

Leonne Nelson, CHICHESTER

CHICHESTER - Leonne (Levesque) Nelson, 94, died Monday at the Hillsboro House. She was born in Salem, Mass., the daughter of Joseph and Annie (Richards) Levesque. She attended schools in Salem, Mass., including the Salem Normal School. She worked as a secretary for Thomas Laughlin Company in Lynn, Mass., and Portland, Maine; and for the Porteous-Mitchell & Braun Store in Portland, Maine, retiring at the age of 65. She lived in Portland, Maine, from 1935 until 1988, moving to Henniker to live with a daughter, and later to Chichester to live with another daughter, later becoming a resident of Hillsboro House Nursing Home in Hillsboro. She was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Henniker; a former member of St. Joseph's Church in Portland, Maine; and was an active member of the St. Joseph's Ladies Guild and Solidarity Group in Portland, Maine. She was predeceased by her husband, A. Leonard Nelson, who died in 1982; a sister, Elvina Lavoie; and three brothers, Arthur Levesque, John Levesque and Rene Levesque. Survivors include two daughters, Vivian Kaul of Henniker, and Shirley Wilkins of Chichester; a sister, Edna Belleau of Salem, Mass.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on today at 9 a.m. at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Henniker. The Rev. Mark Dollard, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be held in Brooklawn Cemetery, Portland, Maine. The Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.

Florence A. Baxter, SPRINGFIELD

SPRINGFIELD - Florence A. (Saunders) Baxter, 75, of Route 4A, died yesterday at Mountain Ridge Healthcare Center in Franklin. She was born in New London, the daughter of George and Annie (Nichols) Saunders. She graduated from Towle High School in Newport. She worked for Murray's Cabins and Cables Cabins, Market Basket, and First National Bank, all in New London; in the housekeeping department at Colby Sawyer College; and in Central Supply at New London Hospital, retiring as supervisor after 28 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of New London, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was interested in knitting, and visiting friends and family. She is predeceased by her first husband, Elmer Butcher, who died in 1992. Survivors include her husband, George Baxter of Springfield; a son, Bradly Butcher of W. Springfield; a daughter, Linda Wilson of Lake Oswego, Oreg.; two step daughters, Marlene Rodenbaugh of Doylestown, Pa., and June Hall of Wilmot; a step son, John Handley of Goshen; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Chadwick Funeral Home, 174 Main St., New London. Graveside services will be held in the spring at Pleasant View Cemetery, West Springfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater New Hampshire Chapter, 10 Ferry St., Suite 419, Concord 03301.

Katherine Henderson, GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y.

GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. - Katherine Henderson, 84, of Prospect Avenue, died Sunday at Nathan Littauer Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Merrimack, the daughter of Theodore and Eugenia Lambrukos. She graduated from Penacook High School and Concord Business School. She worked for Espey Electronics and Manufacturing of Gloversville for many years until retiring. She was a member of the Trinity Anglican Episcopal Church and attended Sts. Theodoroi Greek Orthodox Church, both in Gloversville, N.Y. She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh Henderson, who died in 1992. Survivors include a son, David Henderson of Gloversville, N.Y.; two brothers, Charles Lambrukos and Harry Lambrukos, both of Concord; two sisters, Helen Buczynski and Mary Doukas; two grandsons; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will not be held. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Concord. Memorial services will be held at a later date at Trinity Anglican Episcopal Church, Gloversville, N.Y. The Walrath and Stewart Funeral Home Inc., Gloversville, N.Y., is in charge of the arrangements.

Dr. Ramarao Luckoor

Dr. Ramarao Luckoor, 86, of Concord, died yesterday at Concord Hospital. He was born in Mysore, Karnataka-India. He was a renowned physician serving many people, including his Highness the King of Mysore while in Mysore, Karnataka, India. He earned numerous medals and awards for his fifty years of dedicated service in the medical field. After his retirement, he moved to the United States in 1981 to be with his family. He is predeceased by his wife, Janaki Bai Luckoor, who died in 1976. Survivors include two sons, Sudhindra Luckoor of Concord and Dr.Ravindra R. Luckoor of Bow; two daughters, Premalatha Prasad of Rogers, Ark., and Srivani Janardhana of Manchester; three brothers; six sisters; six grandchildren; and one great grandson. Calling hours will be held today from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Church St. Chapel at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 No. Main St., Concord. Services will be privately. Edward J. Fratus

Edward J. Fratus of Juniper Lane, Concord, died Thursday at Pleasant View Center Genesis Eldercare. He was born in East Providence, R.I., the son of Joseph and Mary (Serpa). He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He worked in the warehouse at New Hampshire Distributors and at Swenson Granite and St. Peter's Church. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 88, volunteered for the Boy Scouts and was a Gold Star Father. He was predeceased by a son, Edward Fratus. Survivors include his wife, Victoria (Greco) Fratus of Concord; a son, Robert Fratus Sr. of Springvale, Maine; a daughter, Angela Fratus of Concord; five grandchildren; and nieces. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Pleasant View Chapel, 239 Pleasant St., Concord. Services will be held privately and his ashes will be spread at sea. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the SPCA, 130 Washington St., Penacook 03303; or to the CRVNA Hospice Program, PO Box 1797, Concord 03302-1979. Stanley B. Kenney, PENACOOK

PENACOOK - Stanley B. Kenney, 61, of Briar Pipe Apartments, Washington Street, died Thursday at Concord Hospital. He was born in Boscawen, the son of Charles and Agnes (Hoyt) Kenney. He attended local schools. He also lived in Goffstown, returning to Penacook in 1989. He worked for Page Belting for many years and for International Paper in Manchester for 20 years. Survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Kenney of Derry, and Lisa Swanson of Allenstown; a sister, Sylvia Cote of Penacook; a brother, Paul Clark of Contoocook; four grandchildren; and many nieces and one nephew. Calling hours will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Waters Funeral Home. The Rev. William Keeffe will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Penacook.

WARREN - Irene M. (Bailey) Angers, 81, of Pine Hill Road, died Thursday at the Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia. She was born in Laconia, the daughter of Eldred and Myrtie (Wright) Bailey. She was raised in Laconia. She attended local schools. She was an 18-year survivor of breast cancer. She was an avid crocheter. She was predeceased by her husband, Wallace Angers Sr.; and a brother, Lloyd Bailey. Survivors include a son, Wallace Angers Jr. of Belmont; a daughter, Irma Heath of Warren; a sister, Vivian Newton of Laconia; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Calling hours will be held Monday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m., following calling hours, in the funeral home. George Hankins-Hull, spiritual care coordinator at Lakes Regional General Hospital, will officiate. Burial will be held in the spring in the family lot in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia. James N. Morrill, CAMPTON

CAMPTON - James N. Morrill, 58, died yesterday at his home. He was born in Waterbury, Conn., the son of Henry and Audrey (Shea) Morrill. He was raised in Campton. He attended Plymouth High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1961 and served with the Second Infantry Division for three years. He worked for Rochester Shoe Tree Co. for 17 years; and recently as a machine operator for Freudenberg, NOK, in Ashland. He was an avid automobile enthusiast and a frequent competitor at the New England Dragway in Epping. He enjoyed trout fishing and was a Civil War collector. Survivors include his mother of St. Johnsbury, Vt.; two sisters, Elain Morrill of Elora, Tenn., and Janet Sargent of Meredith; an aunt, Reta Shea of Campton; and a niece. Memorial services will be held July 15 at the New England Dragway, Epping. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Camp Sunshine, 35 Acadia Road, PO Box 829, South Casco, Maine 04077. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of the arrangements.

Millicent M. Pellerine, LACONIA

LACONIA - Millicent M. Pellerine, 90, of County Drive, Belknap County Nursing Home, died Tuesday at Lakes Region General Hospital. She was born in Berlin, N.Y., the daughter of Norval and Anna Conklin. She lived in S. Boston, Mass., for many years, moving to Laconia in 1985 where she is formerly from Union Avenue. She worked as a home health care provider for the Laboure Center in S. Boston, Mass. She is predeceased by her husband, Clarence Pellerine, who died in 1991. Survivors include a daughter, Carol Reale of Meredith; a son, Edward Pellerine of Brockton, Mass.; two grandchildren; many nieces. Calling hours will not be held. Memorial services will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia. Donna M. Covington, LOUDON

LOUDON - Donna M. (Passamonte) Covington, 35, of East Ricker Road, died Wednesday at her home after a long illness. She was born in Framingham, Mass., the daughter of Frank and Donna (Corey) Passamonte. She was president of New Link Communications in Concord. She was very athletic and enjoyed skiing, scuba diving, horseback riding, and boating, as well as cooking, baking, traveling and going to the beach. She is predeceased by her brother, Joseph Passamonte. Survivors include her husband of 10 years, Bob Covington of Loudon; two daughters, Tori Covington and Sydney Covington of Loudon; two step daughters, Whitney Covington of Loudon and Taylor Covington of Florida; her father of Palm Coast, Fla.; her mother of Concord; and a sister, Amy Mamous of Manchester. Calling hours will not be held. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. FRANKLIN - Julia V. Turcotte, 88, of Victory Drive, died Thursday at her home. She was born in Franklin, the daughter of Albert and Anna (Lapienka) Sliz. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1930; and later attended nursing school. She worked at Sulloway Hosiery in Franklin, Scott & Williams in Laconia, and Hudson Door Manufacturing in Franklin many years ago. She was a communicant of St. Paul Church. She was a lifelong member of the Polish Home Association. She was predeceased by her husband, George Turcotte Sr., who died in 1992. Survivors include a son, George Turcotte Jr. of Franklin; a daughter, Victoria Turcotte of Manchester; a sister, Leokadyja Siok of Franklin; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Church. Burial will be held in the spring in Holy Cross Cemetery.
