Joanne R. Cimikowski, 71, of Portsmouth Street, Concord, died yesterday at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. She was born in Springfield, Mass., the daughter of Albert and Dorothy (Smith) Vigue. She lived in Pembroke for 40 years before moving to Concord five years ago. She worked as a licensed practical nurse in the Concord Hospital nursery for 35 years before retiring. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Epiphany-Bethany Chapter No. 50. She loved babies and animals, especially Maine coon cats. Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Allgeyer of Pembroke and Dale Cimikowski of Concord; a son, Stefan Cimikowski of Benton; a sister, Charlotte Ostebo of Kings Park, N.Y.; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Her husband of 30 years, Leo Cimikowski, died in 1986. Calling hours will not be held. Memorial services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the First Congregational Church of Pembroke, Pembroke Street, Pembroke. The Rev. Dan Stauffacher, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be held in the spring in Benton Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Concord SPCA, 130 Washington St., Concord 03301. Petit Funeral Home, Pembroke, is in charge of the arrangements.

Henry J. Toohey

Henry J. Toohey, 80, of Concord died Tuesday at Concord Hospital. He was born in Concord, the son of Henry and Josephine (Cook) Toohey. He graduated from St. John's High School in 1938, where he lettered in baseball and football. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked as a pressman at the former Rumford Press for many years. He was a life member of American Legion Post No.21 of Concord and the Carmelite Guild. He was an avid sports enthusiast. Survivors include a sister, Josephine Adams of Concord, with whom he lived; and many cousins. Calling hours will be held Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Blossom Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Alfred G. Chandler, ANTRIM

ANTRIM - Dr. Alfred George Chandler, 92, died Tuesday at Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough. He was born in Cliftondale, Mass., the son of Henry and Christiana (Toms) Chander of England. He lived in England and worked in the photography business for many years before entering medical school. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire and Tufts Medical School, and completed his residency at Springfield Hospital in Massachusetts. He served as major with the Army Medical Corps during World War II. He established his medical practice in Antrim in 1946, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Antrim Baptist Church. He was a member of the staff at Monadnock Community Hospital, where he established the Anesthesiology Department; was a lifetime member of the New Hampshire Medical Society, the Masonic Temple, and the American Medical Association; was a fellow of the American College of Anesthesiologists; a Director Emeritus of the Valley Bank in Hillsboro; and a sponsor of a Cambodian refugee family. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, reading and vacationing on the Maine coast. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Janice (Yarber) Chandler; four daughters, Carol Malcarney of Haddonfield, N.J., Priscilla Shook of Antrim, Susan Ruess of Richmond, Vt., and Nancy Conrey of Lyman, Maine; and seven grandchildren. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 32 School St., Hillsboro. Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Antrim Baptist Church in Antrim. The Rev. Dr. Milton Ryder and the Rev. Donald Maughn will officiate. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Antrim. Jennie D. Jennings, LOUDON

LOUDON - Jennie D. Jennings, 94, of Clinton Street, died Nov. 18 at the Hospice House of Concord after a stroke on Nov. 11. She was born in West Concord, the daughter of Arthur and Cora Belle (Flanders) Davis. She was raised in West Concord, moved to Bridgeport, Conn., to Clark House in Amherst in the early 1970s, and moved back to New Hampshire in 1998. She attended Garrison School and West Congregational Church. She was a member of the Hadley, Mass., United Church of Christ Congregational. She was active in Clark House and the Bang's Center activities. Survivors include two nieces, Marjorie Nelson of Loudon, whom she lived with, and Dorothy Aloisi of Hadley, Mass.; a grand niece and grand nephew; and great grand nephew. Her husband, Harold Jennings, died in 1980; three brothers, Errol Davis, John Davis and M. William Davis, died previously; three sisters, Frances Wilhelmsen, C. Eleanor Colby and Ida Allis, died previously. Calling hours will not be held. Services will be held privately by the family. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in West Concord. Leslie F. Corneau, FRANKLIN

FRANKLIN - Leslie Freeman Corneau, 72, of Pearl Street, died Sunday at Concord Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Bristol, the son of Fred and Sadie (Carpenter) Corneau. He attended school in Bristol. He lived in Hill for many years, moving to Franklin where he lived for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army and Air Force. He worked at International Packing Corp. in Bristol, retiring in 1987 as shipping supervisor after 40 years. He was a former member of the Masons, Lions Club, Moose and Elks Lodge. Survivors include a son, Charles Corneau of Franklin; a daughter, Lisa Corneau of Florissant, Colo.; a brother, Calvin Corneau of Eugene, Ore.; two sisters, Belle Cyr of Bridgewater and Phyllis Hebert of Houston, Texas; a granddaughter; and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. His infant daughter, Joy Corneau, died in 1959. Calling hours will not be held. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hill. Burial will follow. CONTOOCOOK - Anna L. Roberts, 77, died Monday at Concord Hospital. She was born in Randolph, Vt., the daughter of Harold and Marion (McDonald) Harrington. She moved to Contoocook in 1962. She served with the U.S. Army during World War II. She was a member of the Golden Group and the Emerson Hill Club in Contoocook. Survivors include two daughters, Judith Stevens of Contoocook and Georgianna Marsh of Dorchester; two sisters, Virginia Swanson of Concord and Mona West of California; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Her parents died previously; her husband, George Roberts, died in 1987; a son, Rodney Roberts, died in 1982; and a brother, Norman Harrington, died in 2000. Calling hours will not be held. Graveside services will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. in Hewittville Cemetery, North Pomfret, Vt. The Rev. Douglas Moore will officiate. LACONIA - Virginia C. Wiley, 86, formerly of Chester Court, died yesterday at Genesis Eldercare Network in Laconia. She was born in New Haven, Conn., the daughter of Parke and Mabel (Stevens) Custis. She lived in Brookline, Mass., for many years and moved to Laconia in 1936. She graduated from Brookline, Mass., High School. She worked in the chinaware department of Lougee-Robinson's for many years, retiring in 1972. She was a member of Laconia Congregational Church. Survivors include a son, Richard Wiley Jr. of Laconia; three daughters, Lee Sibson of Gilford, Eleanor Jacques of Laconia and Deborah Taylor of Holderness; a brother, John Custis of Winter Park, Fla.; two grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Her husband, Richard Wiley, died in 1993. Calling hours will not be held. Services will be held privately at a later date. ROTONDA, Fla. - Janet H. Purington died Nov. 17 at her home. She was born in Grasmere, the daughter of Gerald and Dorothy (Farmer) Hight. She graduated from Pierce Secretarial School in Concord. She was a lifetime resident of Weare before moving to Florida in 2000. She worked for Beneficial Finance Corp of Concord, New England College in Henniker and Havenwood Nursing Home in Concord. She also worked as a homemaker for many years. She was a member of the Weare Congregational Church and the Women's Church Circle. She was active in Eastern Star of New Hampshire; member of the Porti-Henocon-Astoria Chapter No. 14, where she served as past matron on the Henocon chapter of Henniker; past grand matron for the State of New Hampshire; general grand chapter committee member and past noble grand of the Rebeccas; member of the Rainbow Girls; and served as secretary of the Weare School Board. She enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking and her new home in Florida. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, R. Winston Purington of Rotonda, Fla.; two sons, Dwight Purington of Hooksett and Bruce Purington of Weare; two daughters, Heidi Stevens of Salisbury, Mass., and Marcia Seeling of Bellvue, Neb.; four sisters, Sylvia Brown and Carolyn Jarzombak, both of Weare, Tessie Kennedy of New Boston, and Eleanor Gordon of Hopkinton; 12 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. A memorial gathering will be held Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the French & Rising Funeral Home, 17 S. Mast St., Goffstown. Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Weare Congregational Church, Route 77, Weare. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, NH Affiliate; or the Weare Congregational Church, Elevator Fund.

Cora Goble, MARTINSVILLE, Va.

MARTINSVILLE, Va. - Cora (Harris) Goble, formerly of Concord and Canterbury, died Friday. She was born and raised in Butler, N.J. She attended Syracuse University on a full art scholarship. She was a teacher, artist, world traveler and camper. She was an active member of the South Congregational Church in Concord and the Congregational Church in Canterbury. Survivors include four sons, Quentin Goble of Loudon, Jeff Goble of Hershey, Pa., Kevin Goble of Martinsville, Va., and Tod Gobledale of Cleveland; three daughters, Nancy Shotland of Keene, Amy Richard of New York, N.Y., and Sarah Bradley of Sturgeon Bay, Wis.; and 12 grandchildren.

Barbara J. Putnam, DEERING

DEERING - Barbara J. Putnam, 72, died Tuesday at Pleasant View Center in Concord. She was born in Fremont, the daughter of Fred and Rowena (Rogers) LeClair. She moved to Deering 48 years ago. She worked as a receptionist for Hillsboro County Nursing Home for more than 20 years, retiring in 1997. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 59 of Hillsboro. Survivors include her mother of Fremont; a daughter, LouEllen Beard of Deering; two brothers, Fred LeClair of Fremont and Eric LeClair of West Hampton, Mass.; a sister, Polly Medina of Connecticut; two grandsons; and many nieces and nephews. Her father died previously; her husband, Percy Putnam, died in 1994. Calling hours will not be held. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the family's home in Deering. The Rev. CONTOOCOOK - Delma E. Johnson, 72, of Maple Street died Monday at her home. She was born in Lyman, the daughter of Howard and Dorothy (Santy) Bain. She graduated from Lisbon High School in 1947 and Concord Commercial College in 1949. She worked as a secretary at local businesses for many years. She enjoyed knitting and baking. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Richard Johnson; a son, John Johnson of Epsom; three daughters, Kathleen Finnemore of Contoocook, Pamela Johnson of Warner, and Dorothy Padilla of Moore, S.C.; a sister, May Chase of Lisbon; and eight grandchildren. Calling hours will not be held. Memorial services will held tomorrow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord. The Rev. Charles Paige-Morgan will officiate.
