PENACOOK - Geneva C. Clark, 84, formerly of Washington Street, died Tuesday at Genesis Eldercare-Pleasant View Center after a long illness.
She was born in Lebanon, the daughter of George and Clara (LaPlante) Bassett. She lived in the Penacook-Concord area for most of her life. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Reginald Clark; a brother, Oswald Bassett; and a sister, Lucinda Garland.
She is survived by three sons, Frank Clark of Concord, Reginald Clark of Penacook and Randolph Clark of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Leona Tuttle of Connecticut.
Calling hours will be held tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Wendell J. Butt Funeral Home, 42 Washington St., Penacook.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated tomorrow at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church. The Rev. Tim Thibeault will be the celebrant. Interment services will be held after the Mass in Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord.

Diamond G. Pickard, CANAAN

CANAAN - Diamond G. Pickard, 48, of School Street, died Tuesday at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, after a sudden illness.
He was born in Concord, the son of Walter Pickard and Clemetis Lawrence.
He attended Canterbury and Tilton schools, and was married to Holly Bentley in 1972.
He had lived in Penacook, where he was employed by the state of New Hampshire Highway Department. The couple lived in Billings, Mont., for 13 years, before moving to Canaan 10 years ago.
He was employed by Janci's Metal Recycling, West Lebanon, and for the town of Canaan Transfer Station.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Jonathan Pickard and Raymond Pickard.
In addition to his mother of Laconia, he is survived by his wife, Holly Pickard of Canaan; a daughter, Megan Pickard of Canaan; a sister, Heidi Nolette of Laconia; two brothers, Clifford Pickard of Belmont and Jesse Pickard of Northfield; a maternal grandmother, Teresa Phillips of Belmont; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ricker Funeral Home, 56 School St., Lebanon.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Canaan Assembly of God Church. Dr. David Baker will officiate.

DEERFIELD - Ada M. Witham, 83, of Brown Road, died yesterday at Concord Hospital.
She was born in Vermont, but had been a lifelong Deerfield resident. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post No. 103.
She was predeceased by her husband, George Witham.
She is survived by two sons, George Whitham and Albert Witham, both of Deerfield; two daughters, Alberta Barry of Epsom and Norma Hackett of Freeport, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Maiden-Petrin Funeral Home, Four Corners, Candia.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Morrison Cemetery, Deerfield. A luncheon will be served after the burial at the American Legion Post No. 103, Deerfield.
Joseph J. Langevin, MANCHESTER

MANCHESTER - Joseph J. Langevin, 69, a former area resident and relative of area residents, died Monday at home.
He was born in Franklin, the son of Joseph and Almeda (Gill) Langevin. He was raised in Franklin, and was a graduate of Franklin High School, Class of 1947. He also lived in Bedford.
He served as an Army corporal in the Korean War and was stationed at White Sands Missile Proving Ground, New Mexico.
He worked for Public Service Company of New Hampshire for 40 years before retiring.
He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 79.
He is survived by a son, Ronald Langevin of Center Barnstead; a granddaughter, Hailey Gaudreault of Manchester; a sister, Ann Houle of Bow and Frostproof, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin.
A Mass of Christian burial will be tomorrow at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Church, School St., Franklin. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

ANDOVER - Justin Kane Barton, infant son of Duane Barton and Kenice Palm, died Nov. 28. He was born in Lebanon on Nov. 26.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by maternal grandparents, Deborah Palm and Gerald Dickinson of Alexandria; paternal grandparents, George and Rachel (Cote) Barton of Andover; maternal great-grandmother, Shirley Gallagher of Alexandria; paternal great-grandmothers, Katherine Barton of Andover and Odile Cote of Franklin; and uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.
Graveside services will be held tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. in Lakeview Cemetery, East Andover. The Rev. Lynne Hubley, pastor of The First Baptist Church of Bradford, will officiate. Chadwick Funeral Service in New London is in charge of arrangements.
Christopher Oliver, LACONIA

LACONIA - Christopher W. Oliver, 73, of Pleasant Street, died Monday at Lakes Region General Hospital.
He was born in Boston, the son of the late John and Margaret (Gallagher) Oliver. He attended school in Perkinsville, Vt., and had lived in Springfield, Vt., and Chatsworth, Calif., for several years before moving to Laconia 25 years ago.
He was a World War II Army veteran. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the European-Africa Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, the Victory Medal and a Purple Heart after being wounded Jan. 15, 1945. He served in campaigns in Normandy, the Rhineland and the Ardennes.
He was employed by New Hampshire Ball Bearings as a machinist for many years before retiring.
He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 1, Laconia and the Brattleboro, Vt., Lodge of Elks.
He is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth DiLeo of Oceanside, Calif., and Lori Wright of Palmdale, Calif.; five sons, James Oliver and Dennis Oliver, both of Laconia, Paul Oliver and Scott Oliver, both of Simi Valley, Calif., and Robert Oliver of Laguna Hills, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; three brothers, Lawrence Oliver and John Oliver, both of Florida, and Alfred Oliver of Perkinsville, Vt.; a sister, Irene Durland of Bellows Falls, Vt.; and several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours.
Services will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. in the chapel at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen. The Rev. Gary Kosmowski, pastor of St. Joseph Church, Laconia, will officiate.

FRANKLIN - Helena B. Lemay, 92, formerly of Smiling Hill Road, died Tuesday at The Peabody Home, Franklin.
She was born in Franklin, the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Decato) Bergeron. A lifetime resident, she was a former member of the Franklin Senior Citizens and a communicant of St. Paul Church.
She was employed by the JP Stevens Company for 38 years.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Stephen Barnaby and Ernest LeMay; and a son, Stephen Barnaby.
She is survived by five stepsons, Oscar LeMay of Norwalk, Conn., Andrew LeMay of Bow, Alfred LeMay of Hollandale, Fla., Richard LeMay of Raleigh, N.C., and Raymond LeMay of Norwalk, Conn.; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Frances Perrault of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.

James E. Bodell, HOOKSETT

HOOKSETT - James E. Bodell, 76, died yesterday at the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, after a short illness.
He was born in Central Falls, R.I., the son of Joseph and Mary (Powers) Bodell. He lived in Pawtucket, R.I., before moving to Hooksett in 1960. He was a graduate of Pawtucket, R.I., Senior High School in 1940 and of New Hampshire Technical College in 1969.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He served as a pilot in the European and African theaters. He piloted an Air Corps C47 "Dakota" dropping paratroopers over Normandy during the pre-invasion hours of June 6, 1944.
He worked in the textile industry for several years, and later retired from Harris Corporation in 1984.
He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 149 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1617.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph Bodell, Edward Bodell and Paul Bodell.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Alice (Cardin) Bodell of Hooksett; two sons, Edward Bodell of Cary, N.C., and Barry Bodell of Concord; a daughter, Allyson Bodell of Manchester; four grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Donahue of Pawtucket, R.I., Teresa Nyberg of Falmouth, Mass., and Carol Trustey of Glastonbury, Conn.
Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Lambert Funeral Home, 1799 Elm St., Manchester.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at noon in St. Catherine Church, Webster St., Manchester. Encryptment will be in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen, at the convenience of the family.

LACONIA - Cecilia M. Jordan, 79, of Union Avenue and formerly of Mechanic Street, died yesterday at home.
She was born in Lincoln, the daughter of Joseph and Odile (Lanteigne) Landry. She was a long-time Laconia resident.
She worked for Laconia Shoe as a stitcher for 15 years, retiring in 1980. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lakes Church, Lakeport.
She was predeceased by her husband, Archie Jordan.
She is survived by a son, Eugene Jordan of Lakeport; two daughters, Carole Wells of Belmont and Janet Lafreniere of Manchester; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Adeline Burke of Keene; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, using the Carriage House Entrance.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated tomorrow at noon in Our Lady of the Lakes Church, Washington Street, Lakeport. The Rev. George Soberick, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will take place after the Mass in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia.
