CHICHESTER - Edward G. Drew, 68, of Dover Road died Sunday at Concord Hospital. He was born in Concord, the son of Leonard and Hazel (Blanchard) Drew. He was a lifelong resident of the Concord area. He was a self-employed building contractor, who built houses for all of his children and worked as the general contractor for the new Chichester Fire Station. He was a member of the Chichester Volunteer Fire Department for more than 40 years. He served as both lieutenant and captain. He was a founding and active member of the Pehaugan Men's Club for more than 35 years. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping and the outdoors. He loved spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Beverly (Robillard) Drew of Chichester; three sons, Scot Drew, Mark Drew and Christopher Drew, all of Chichester; a daughter, Debra Harris of Chichester; a sister, Barbara Kelso of Bow; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and nieces and nephews. A gathering will be held tomorrow from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Chichester Fire-Rescue Building on Main Street. Donations may be made to Chichester Firefighter's Association, 22 Main St., Chichester 03258. GILFORD - Cole Robert Harriman, infant, of Woodvale Drive died Sunday at Concord Hospital. He was born the son of Brock and Tina (Petroro) Harriman. Survivors include his parents of Gilford; a brother, Brayden Harriman of Gilford; a sister, Kayla Harriman of Gilford; grandparents, Raymond Petroro of Bellmore, N.Y., and Greg and Helen Harriman of Belmont; aunts and uncles, Toni Petroro and Tom Petroro, both of Bellmore, N.Y., and Melissa Young of Concord; and many cousins. ALMA, Ark. - Patricia A. Rothwell, 56, formerly of Concord, died Monday in Alma, Ark. She was born the daughter of Henry and Marie Drew. Survivors include two sons, Jerry Rothwell of Alma, Ark., and Jesse Rothwell of Muldrow, Okla.; a daughter, Vicki Rothwell of Van Buren, Ark; a sister, Elizabeth Duquette of Van Buren, Ark.; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. NEWPORT - Alice Carolyn DeCourcy, 91, died yesterday at the Clough Extended Care Center in New London. She was born in Portland, Maine, the daughter of Ray and Alice (Humphreys) Dyer. She attended schools in Brunswick, Maine, and Freeport, Maine. In 1934, she earned a degree in biology from the University of Maine, where she was a Sophomore Eagle and an All Maine Woman. She studied medical illustrating at Yale Medical School and at Maine General Hospital. DeCourcy lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., Westport, Conn., and Milford, Conn., before moving to Newport in 1961. She was a member of the South Congregational Church in Newport and the Newport Committee on Head Start. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, J. Ed DeCourcy of New London; a son, Thomas DeCourcy of Kaunakakai, Hawaii; a daughter, Jane Wong of Berkeley, Calif.; and four grandchildren. Calling hours will not be held. Memorial services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the South Congregational Church, S. Main Street, Newport. The Rev. Craig MacCreary will officiate. Leonard E. Nystedt, 82, of Concord, died Friday at the Hospice House in Concord. He was born in West Springfield, Mass., the son of Henry and Helga (Fahlquist) Nystedt. He graduated from Norwich University with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 1942. He also received a lifetime achievement award from Norwich. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a captain in the 39th Signal Company 26th Division. He was a life member of the VFW. He worked for New England Telephone Company (Nynex) for 42 years as a statistician. Nystedt was a member of the East Congregational Church and sang in the choir. He was a former member of the Centre Congregational Church in Lyynfield, Mass., where he served as a deacon. He was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, serving as president for the Jasper C. Keller Chapter of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont and the Patriot Chapter in Danvers, Mass. He was a life member of the Hampton Masonic Lodge in Springfield, Mass., and was also an Eagle Scout. He established the Concord branch of Talking Books Repair program. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Priscilla Nystedt of Concord; two sons, Barry Nystedt of Wayland, Mass., and Gregory Nystedt of Houston; a sister, Eleanor Schissler of Maryland; two grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. His first wife, F. Eileen Nystedt, died in 1983. Calling hours will be held tomorrow from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., Concord. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the East Congregational Church, 51 Mountain Road, Concord, with the Rev. Patricia Dubois officiating. LACONIA - Alma G. Fitts, 80, of 57 Fairview St., died Friday at Lakes Region General Hospital. She was born in Fitzwilliam, the daughter of Avlin and Mildred (Cass) Blunden and had lived in Laconia most of her life. She had worked at the former W.T. Grant store and also worked as a waitress at several Weirs restaurants. She loved camping at Shawtown/Ossipee, knitting and chrochet and working on jigsaw and crossword puzzles. She always enjoyed a spirited game of Scrabble. She is survived by five daughters, Norma L. Freo, Gail A. Brace, Janet M. Carignan, Patty L. Charlton and Ginger J. Fitts, all of Laconia; three sons, Brian L. Fitts of Belmont, Calvin H. Fitts of New Durham and Jerry A. Fitts Sr. of Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Catherine Avery of Haverhill, Mass.; two brothers, Kenneth Blunden of Northfield and Robert Blunden; nieces and nephews. Her husband, Samuel J. Fitts Jr., died in 1988. Calling hours will be held today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St., Laconia. GILFORD - Barbara D. (Bolduc) Colby, 60, of 50 Old Lakeshore Road, Gilford, died Friday at her home. She was born in Laconia, the daughter of the late Charles H. and Aurora (Thebarge) Bolduc. She graduated from Laconia High School and was a lifelong resident of the Laconia area. She served in the Marine Corps as a telephone operator from 1961-63. She worked for several years as the hardware sales manager for the Globe Stores of Gilford and Littleton and was most recently employed as a saleswomen and buyer for Piche's Ski and Sports Shop in Gilford. She is survived by her husband, James D. Colby of Gilford; one daughter, Janet L. Colby of Gilford; two stepdaughters, Leslie Carew of Land O Lakes, Fla., and Katharine Major of Cotuit, Mass; three grandchildren; eight brothers, Kenneth P. Bolduc of Gilford, Roland H. "Bud" Bolduc of new Port Richey, Fla., Charles A. "Sam" Bolduc of New Port Richey, Fla., Maurice F. Bolduc of New Port Richey, Fla., Ernest G. Bolduc of Laconia, the Rev. Hector L. Bolduc of Gilford, Armand A. Bolduc of Laconia and Robert J. Bolduc of Winnisquam; four sisters, Theresa E. Tracey of Waitsfield, Vt., Anita F. McKeown of Belmont, Lauretta L. WEARE - Lydia Louise Renolds Sicari (de'Amicis) Reeve, 61, died Friday at the Hospice House in Concord. She was born in New York City, the daughter of the late Demenico S. and Winifried (Smith) de'Amicis. She grew up in Lexinton, Mass. Reeve brought her love of music to countless children and adults as a teacher and performer. She played violin in contra dance bands, in numerous churches and for adult and children's morris dance teams. She played violin and viola with many orchestras and ensembles, including the New Hampshire Philharmonic and Monadnock Music. She taught music and dance for many years at the Pine Hill Waldorf School and Temple School and sang with the Songweavers women's chorus in Concord. A graduate of Mount Holyoke College, she studied art, Italian and music throughout her life. She loved the farm where she lived with her family for 25 years, raising goats, sheep and chickens, tending vegetable and flower gardens and going for long walks in the woods. She was a member of the Holy Cross Episcopal Church in Weare. She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Robert B. Reeve of Weare; a son, Christopher Mills of Massachusetts; two daughters, Danica Allen Mills of Cambridge, Mass., and Fritha I.D. Reeve of Weare. Tristan Reeve died previously. Calling hours will be held at the Reeve home, 170 Poor Farm Road, Weare, today and tomorrow, from 2 to 7 p.m. both days. Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Deering Community Church, Route 149, Deering. The Rev. John McCausland will officiate. Survivors include two sisters, Janet Irwin of Woburn, Mass., and Barbara Graybill of Fitchburg, Mass.; and a brother, Robert Chapman of Livingston, Texas. His wife, Marion Chapman, died previously. HEBRON - Dorothy M. Fischer, 98, of Pine Top Lane, died Friday at home. She was born in Mt. Vernon, N.Y., the daughter of John and Margaret (Neff) Hoffman. She lived in Yonkers, N.Y., before moving to Hebron. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Yonkers, N.Y., the Vernon Stewart Chapter No. 794 in Mt. Vernon, N.Y., and the Union Congregational Church in Hebron. Survivors include two sons, George Fischer of Pisga Forrest, N.C., and the Rev. John Fischer of Hebron; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. Her husband, George John Fischer Sr., died previously. There will be no calling hours. She lived in Henniker for 20 years before moving to Hopkinton in 2000. Moody and her husband owned and operated the Colby Hill Farm in Henniker for many years.
