Nancy Ayotte
Longtime resident of Wilton
Ayotte, Nancy, 71, of Dale Street, Wilton, died April 4, 2OO2, in her home after a short illness.
Born in Nashua, Feb. 20, 1931, the daughter of the late Howard and Edith (Downer) Abbot she had lived in Wilton most of her Iife. She was a 1948 graduate of Wilton High School.
She had been employed by the PVA-EPVA of Wilton and Lyndeborough for more than 15 years.
She was an avid gardener, and was a prize winning photographer of natural landscapes in the Wilton and Mount Monadnock area. She was dedicated to her family, and was considered a very endearing and loving mother by all family members.
Mrs. Ayotte was predeceased by a son, Daniel P. Ayotte, in 1976.
Members of her family include two sons Roy A. Ayotte of Wilton, David A. Ayotte of Hudson; a daughter, Lesly Abbot of Wilton; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Abbot of Sarasota, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be held in Laurel Hill Cemetery of Wilton.

Patricia Barlow
Resident of Bedford
Patricia Barlow, 54, of Bedford, died Sunday, March 31, 2002, at the Ridgewood Nursing Home in Bedford after a lengthy illness.
Ms. Barlow was born June 10, 1947, in Nashua, daughter of Victoria Maragianis of Nashua and the late Richard W. Barlow.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela (Andrade) Milliard and Melinda Barlow, both of Manchester; a brother, Richard Sprague of Hollis; and four grandchildren.
The Cremation Society of New Hampshire in Manchester is in charge of arrangements.
Robert L. Blais Jr.
Leaves a son in Bedford
Robert L. Blais Sr., 75, formerly of Manchester, died April 2, 2002, at a Bedford healthcare facility after a brief illness.
Born in Manchester, May 16, 1926, he was the son of Edgar and Ida (Manseau) Blais. He lived most of his life in Manchester.
Mr. Blais retired in 1976 from Pepperidge Farm Biscuits where he worked as a distributor for many years.
He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Catholic War Veterans and Manchester Post 79. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 5260, and a 4th degree member of the Bishop Bradley Assembly.
He was a communicant of St. Anthony Church.
He enjoyed his grandchildren and was an avid cribbage player.
He was predeceased by his wife, Adrienne (Carrier) Blais, in 1981.
Family members include three sons, Robert L. Blais Jr. of Bedford, Paul A. Blais of Manchester, and John R. Blais of Auburn; three daughters, Joanne Blais of Manchester, Diane L. Blais of Plainsboro, N.J., and Michelle J. Blais of Hampstead; five grandchildren; three brothers, Harold A. Blais of Manchester, Gordon L. Blais of Pembroke, and Clarence A. Blais of Manchester; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated April 5 in St. Anthony Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Clarence Bonner
New Ipswich operated Jaffrey Electric
Clarence Bonner of New lpswich and Florida died March 18, 2002, at Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville, Fla.
Born April 28, 1934, in New London, he was the son of Ralph and Clara (Merrill) Bonner.
He formerly lived in Milford.
During the Korean War he served in the U.S Navy.
He was proprietor of Jaffrey Electric of Greenville, and specialized in restorations of older homes.
He volunteered in the Mascenic District Building Program, teaching students the electrical trade. He was well known for his love and dedication to the youth of today.
He was a faithful member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Jaffrey and served the Lord for 25 years in the Northern New England District Royal Rangers ministry, holding many several positions.
He was a selfless friend to many and will be greatly missed.
His family includes his wife, Carol Bonner of New lpswich; a brother, Edward Bonner of Milford; two sisters, Elizabeth Puchasz of Manchester and Grace of Nashua; a daughter, Pauline Kauahi of Hawaii; three step-children, Kim Simonds-Bonin of Springfield, Mass., John Simonds of Sutton and Richard Simonds of Danbury; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate his life was held at the Calvary Assembly of God, Jaffrey.

Irma V. Chakmakas
Worked for RCL Electronics
Irma V. Chakmakas, 72, of Manchester, died April 1, 2002, at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester.
Mrs. Chakmakas was born Nov. 21, 1929, in Nashua, daughter of the late Robert and Olive (Crockett) Grandmaison, and had been living in Manchester for the past 45 years.
She was the wife of Leo Chakmakas of Manchester, to whom she had been married for 53 years.
Mrs. Chakmakas previously worked for RCL Electronics Co.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Besides her husband, survivors include a son, John Chakmakas of Bedford; a daughter, Catherine Proctor of Manchester; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Peter R. Chandler
Resident of Brookline for many years
Peter R. Chandler, 42, of Philadelphia, died March 27, 2002, at the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Mr. Chandler was born Oct. 2, 1959, in Boston, son of Phil and Marjorie (Evans) Chandler of Brookline. He moved to Philadelphia two years ago, after living in Brookline for many years.
He was the husband of Patricia (Piljer) Chandler of Philadelphia.
Mr. Chandler was a graduate of Bentley College in Waltham, Mass., and was a certified public accountant with Hass & Company in Media, Pa.
Besides his parents and wife, survivors include two brothers, Stuart E. Chandler of Valencia, Pa., and Bennett R. Chandler of Brookline; three aunts, two nieces and one nephew.
Funeral services were held April 2 in the Brookline Church of Christ. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery, Brookline.

David F. Crockett
Loved fishing, reading
David Frank Crockett, 52, of Nashua, died April 1, 2002, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, after an illness.
Mr. Crockett was born Sept. 18, 1949, in Nashua, son of the late Malcom L. and Anne (White) Crockett. He grew up in Hollis and was a resident of Nashua for the past six years. He had also lived in Milford.
He was the husband of Robin A. (Bouvier) Crockett, whom he married Dec. 5, 1991.
For the past four years Mr. Crockett had been employed by Sullivan Greenhouse in Hollis, where he worked outdoors and in the orchards. Prior to that time he had worked for Pilgrim Foods in Greenville and at the foundry in Wilton.
He enjoyed fishing, loved to read and was an awesome poker player.
Mr. Crockett was educated in Hollis and graduated from Hollis High School.
Besides his wife, survivors include a son, Matthew D. Crockett of Milford; a sister and brother-in-law, Lorna and Ron Findley of Hudson; a father-in-law, John Bouvier of Nashua; and his wife s children.
A Memorial Service was held April 5 in the Davis Funeral Home. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Anna George
Memorial service on April 20
Anna May George, of Amarillo, Texas, and formerly of Hollis, died in Amarillo, Texas on Dec. 28, 2001.
Mrs. George was a longtime resident of Hollis before moving to Kansas, and eventually to Texas.
She was the widow of Frederick B. George, who died Jan. 23, 1977.
Mrs. George had been a registered nurse for the former Nashua Memorial Hospital (now Southern New Hampshire Medical Center), retiring in 1993.
She was a member of the Hollis Congregational Church, U.C.C. She was also a member of the Hollis Woman s Club.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Kari George of Amarillo, Texas; a grandson, Peter, of Hollis; and a niece and nephew, both of New Jersey.
A memorial service will be held in the Hollis Congregational Church on Saturday, April 20, at 2 p.m. Friends are invited to attend. The Rev. Dr. John Terry will officiate. Interment prayers and burial will follow immediately in East Cemetery, Hollis.
Arrangements are in the care of the Davis Funeral Home in Nashua.
Violet Mina Hoyt
Leaves a son in Bedford
Violet Mina Hoyt, 83, of Dover, died April 2, 2002, at the Wadleigh House, after a period of failing health.
She was born July 25, 1918 in Greenville, S.C., the daughter of Floyd and Mona (Graddick) Hammette. Mrs. Hoyt had been a resident of Dover for the past six years, previously living in Rochester since 1946. She was a homemaker.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Gus Hoyt, in 1991.
Family members include a son, Larry G. Hoyt of Wakefield; three daughters, Bonnie Hoyt of Bedford, Cherie Hoyt of Boxford, Mass., and Dini Hoyt of Ossipee; six grandchildren.
A funeral service was held April 8 at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, in Rochester. Burial will be in Rochester Cemetery, Franklin Street, Rochester.

Frederick K. Koch
Served in Army Medical Corps in World War II
Frederick H. Koch, 95, of Manchester, died March 28, 2002, at a local hospital.
Mr. Koch was born in Milford, Mass., on May 18, 1905, the son of Fred H. and Clara (Schneider) Koch.
Mr. Koch was salutatorian of his graduating class at Manchester Central High School and was a Manchester resident most of his life.
He had worked as a cost estimator for International Shoe for many years. He retired from J.F. McElwain Shoe Company.
Mr. Koch loved to keep detailed reports.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps.
He was an avid fisherman and fished every night in warm weather.
He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy R. (Crawford) Koch, on Sept. 10, 2001.
The family includes three nieces, Gretchen Greenleaf McKee of Hollis, Linda J. Robertson of Cambridgeport, Vt., and Denise L. Jones of Peru, Vt.; three nephews, Harold R. Koch of Bedford, Donald W. Guyer of Branford, Conn., and Harold D. Crawford Jr. of Topsham, Maine.

Dora M. Lanthier
Active in area Girl Scouts
Dora M. (Arsenault) Lanthier, 89, of Milford, died April 3, 2002, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua after an illness.
Mrs. Lanthier was born Nov. 14, 1912, in Fitchburg, Mass., daughter of William and Emily (Robichaud) Arsenault. She lived 52 years in the New Ipswich/Greenville area and for the past year in Milford.
She was the widow of George P. Lanthier, who died in 1996.
Mrs. Lanthier was a former member of the Greenville Women s Club. At one time, she was very active in the area Girl Scouts as a leader. She enjoyed sewing and her family.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Greenville, and was active in the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Mrs. Lanthier was predeceased by a son, Richard Lanthier, who died in 1988.
Survivors include two daughters, Claire Bloomfield of Amherst and Doris Drew of Jaffrey; a sister, Rita Steele of Auburn, Mass.; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were April 6 from the Fournier Funeral Home in Greenville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Greenville. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, New Ipswich.

Patricia (Kelly) Trisha Mcdargh, of Bedford and formerly of Norfolk and Hyde Park, Mass., died March 25, 2002.
She was the daughter of Jack and Gertrude (Porter) Kelly.
Family members include her husband, Ralph C. Mickey Mcdargh; a daughter, Kelly Mcdargh of Boston; a son, Todd Mcdargh of Manchester; a sister, Marianne Puchalski of Yarmouthport, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.

Jeanne McKenna
Enjoyed sports, theater and art
(Mary) Jeanne McKenna, died on April 7, 2002, at the Elliot Hospital.
She was a native of Stamford, Conn.
During World War II, she completed the 1943 engineering cadet program at Pennsylvania State University, and for the remainder of the war worked as an aeronautical engineer for Curtis-Wright Aircraft in Buffalo, N.Y., and Stamford, Conn.
In 1947, she married William Bill W. McKenna, to whom she was married 54 years.
Together they raised five children, and lived in Bedford for the past 33 years.
A loving mother, she enjoyed bicycling, swimming, skiing and tennis, theater, reading and art. She volunteered at the Currier Gallery of Art for many years.
She unselfishly cared for her husband during his last years.
The family includes two sons, Peter McKenna of Sausalito, Calif., and David McKenna of Beaver-creek, Ohio; three daughters, Susan McKenna of Northampton, Mass,, Judith (McKenna) Goldberg of Gary, N.C., and Christine (McKenna) Giamarco of Lynnfield, Mass.; and eight grandchildren.
Services were held at the Bedford Presbyterian Church on April 10, followed by a reception at her home in Bedford.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.

Alice K. Morse
Classical pianist and teacher
Alice Kathleen Katie Walker Morse, 86, of Venice, Fla., and formerly of Hingham, Mass., died March 31, 2002, after a brief illness.
She was born April 13, 1915, the daughter of Edgar T.P. Walker, renowned Hingham architect and artist.
She graduated from the Chapel-Hill School and New England Conservatory of Music, and embarked upon a career as a classical pianist and teacher of piano.
She was a founder and frequent soloist of the Hingham Civic Orchestra, and later founded the Royal Coachmen Resort Chorus in Nokomis, Fla., where she remained music director until 1995.
She was married for 61 years to C. Russell Morse, who died in 1998. They were world travelers after raising their three children.
She was active in community affairs including Eastern Star, Brownies and Cub Scouts.
An active athlete, she was captain of the gold team in school and was an avid tennis player and sometime golfer.
She was predeceased by a son, Russell Edgar, in 1941.
The family includes a daughter with whom she made her home, Pamela Luby of Bedford and Venice, Fla.; two sons, David Morse of Boston and Sarasota, Fla., and Stephen Morse of Cumberland, R.I.; a sister, Mildred Walker Bickford of Hingham, Mass.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be later in the spring in Wareham, Mass., and next winter in Nokomis, Fla.

Retired telephone operator
Margaret Barbara (O Brien) Pelletier, 84, of Nashua, died April 8, 2002, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack.
Mrs. Pelletier was born Sept. 12, 1917, in Nashua, daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret (Callahan) O Brien.
She was the wife of the late Charles E. Pelletier, who died Nov. 7, 2000. They had been married for 48 years.
Mrs. Pelletier worked as a telephone operator at New England Telephone Co. in Nashua for more than 45 years before retiring in 1979.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Pelletier was a member of St. Patrick Church in Nashua.
She was educated in the Nashua school system and graduated from Nashua High School in 1935.
Mrs. Pelletier was predeceased by a brother, Patrick O Brien; and four sisters, Helena Schultz, Alice O Brien, Doris O Brien and May O Brien.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Carol (Butterworth) Pelletier of Brookline, and Charles and Janet (Foss) Pelletier of Nashua; three grandchildren, Amber, Krista and Benjamin Pelletier; two sisters, Rita Pepilas of Center Barnstead and Theresa Dion of Nashua; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, George and Betty Pelletier of Hudson, and Irene and Kim Berry of Englewood, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.

Victor L. Perrotta
Avid golfer, scored two holes-in-one
Victor Louis Perrotta, 91, died April 4, 2002, at Community Hospice House in Merrimack.
Mr. Perrotta was born Feb. 1, 1911, in Sharon, Pa., son of Charles Angelo and Mary Carmen (DeMatteo) Perrotta. He resided 46 years in Thomasville, Ga.
He was the widower of Bess Sue (Wooten) Perrotta, who died in 1979.
Mr. Perrotta graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., in 1935 with a civil engineering degree.
During the Depression, Mr. Perrotta worked for a local contractor while waiting to be hired from the Federal Civil Service List. He was later employed with the Civil Aeronautics Administration and worked on Radio Beam Stations throughout the United States.
He spent six months with the National Park Service as civil engineer on the Doughton Park section of the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina.
He was rehired by the CAA as airways engineer and was in charge of designing and constructing airway ground facilities throughout the southern United States. After seven years of traveling in this capacity, he transferred to the Atlanta Regional Office as airports engineer in 1946.
Mr. Perrotta spend two years in Fort Worth, Texas, with the Federal Aviation Administration (formerly the CAA), before transferring to the Federal Civil Defense Administration, Region 3, in Thomasville in 1957. He retired chief of resident engineer support group of U.S. Corps of Engineers in 1974, which furnished technical support to civil preparedness agencies.
He was an avid golfer. He was a former member of the Glen Arven County Club, where he played golf for many years. During his golfing career, he scored two holes-in-one. Among his favorite pastimes were gardening and cooking.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Antonia and Allston E. Weller Jr. of Amherst; two grandchildren, Kristin L. Weller-Paradise of Troy, Mich., and Allston E. Weller III of St. Louis, Mo.; two great-grandchildren, Victoria E. Paradise and Forrest S. Paradise of Troy, Mich.; and several nephews, nieces and cousins in Sharon, Pa., and Troy, N.Y.
A graveside service will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery, Blowing Rock, N.C.

Milton Seaman
Leaves a daughter in Milford
Milton Suman, 73, of Seminole, Fla., died March 20, 202, at Largo Medical Center, Largo, Fla.
He was born Oct. 4, 1929, in Greenport, Long Island, New York, to Milton and Dorothea Seaman.
He joined the Navy at age 17, retiring after 20 years.
Mr. Seaman worked many years at Lockheed Space Center in Sunnyval, Calif., and continued his vocation of electronics technician in Florida, retiring from Paradyne Electronics.
For the last 25 years he and his wife of 51 years, Frances Ann Seaman, resided in Seminole, Fla.
He is survived by three children, Sharon Tassie (Davis) of Milford, Milton Seaman of Lyons, Ore., and Robert Seaman of Stockton, Calif; three grandchildren, Keith Davis Jr., of Nashua, and Dana and Nathan Tassie of Milford.
A memorial service and interment military ceremony was held in the Veterans Sanctuary in Seminole, Fla.
Juliette Stewart
Leaves a daughter in Bedford
Juliette (Robidoux) Stewart, 82, of Manchester, died March 31, 2002, at a local health-care facility after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Manchester on March 25, 1920, the daughter of Noe and Eva (Ouellette) Robidoux. She was educated in the Manchester school system and was a graduate of Manchester Central High School.
Mrs. Stewart had most recently been employed by Modutec. She had previously been employed by various manufacturing mills in Manchester.
She was a volunteer for the Adult Reading Program. She also loved to sew.
Mrs. Stewart was a communicant of St. Pius X Church.
She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, James Stewart, in 1988.
Family members include two sons, Robert G. Stewart of Saco, Maine, and Dr. James A. Stewart of Lee; a daughter, Jeanie T. Boisvert of Bedford; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held April 3 from the McHugh Funeral Home, Manchester, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Pius X Church. Burial followed in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.

Jane Walter
Lifelong resident of Mont Vernon
Jane Walter, 83, resident of Marshfield, Mass., died April 2, 2002, in Norwell, Mass.
She was born in Mont Vernon, on March 12, 1919, a daughter of the late Ralph D. & Abby (Dodge) Morgan.
Prior to moving to Marshfield, Mass., last year, she had been a lifelong resident of Mont Vernon.
Mrs. Walter was a member of the Mont Vernon Congregational Church, and had been active in the church choir.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening.
Mrs. Walter was a loving wife, a devoted mother and grandmother.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Walter, who died in 2000.
Family members include a daughter, Nancy W. Doherty of Braintree, Mass.; a son, James L. Walter of Marshfield, Mass., with whom she resided; five granddaughters; and a sister, Catherine Conant of Milford.
Funeral services were held April 5 in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home in Milford. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mont Vernon, at a later date.
