Dean Dandurant
SOMERSWORTH - Dean J. Dandurant, 51, of 367 High St., died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at his residence as a result of an accident.
He was born on Jan. 4, 1952, in Montana, the son of Paul and Alene (Guilmette) Dandurant.
He was educated in Amesbury, Mass., graduating from Amesbury High School, Class of 1970.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam era.
He had been employed as a heavy equipment operator at Barletta Construction, later at Puma Construction, and most recently at Waterline
Industries.
He had been a soccer and baseball coach for many years in Amesbury.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly (Wells) Dandurant of Somersworth; his mother, Alene Dandurant of Amesbury; his children, Robert and Brianna, both of Amesbury; four brothers, Timothy, Mark and Philip of Amesbury, and Michael of Arizona; three sisters, Donna Tessimond of Hampton Falls, Theresa Harding of Methuen, Mass., and Pauline Bourque of Haverhill, Mass.; stepchildren, Sherri Wood and Scott Dame, both of Somersworth; a grandson, Aaron Wood of Somersworth; nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Roberge Funeral Home, 298 High St., Somersworth.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Martin Church with the Rev. Aaron Pfaff, pastor, as celebrant.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Barrington following cremation.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
George Ellison
BARRINGTON - George W. Ellison, 87, of Ambleside Park, died Monday, April 7, 2003, at his home in Barrington.
Born on July 3, 1915, in Barrington, the son of Walter and Alta (Glover) Ellison, he was a lifelong resident of Barrington.
He worked in area lumber saw mills as a roller for many years and had worked for Woody Sherburne, George Green, Johnson Lumber and Valentine Mathes.
He is survived by one son, William Ellison of Nottingham; two daughters, Shirley Libby and her husband, Charles of Rochester, and Mrs. Beverly Ann Lee of Barrington; and 15 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two sons, George E. Ellison and Gordon Ellison, in 2002; two brothers, Chester Ellison and Charles Ellison; and two sisters, Thelma Dionne and Elizabeth Hartford.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 Exeter St., Newmarket.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home with the Rev. Gail Kindberg, pastor of the Lee Church Congregational, officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Hill Cemetery.
Phyllis Hart
FARMINGTON - Phyllis Hart, 78, formerly of Bunker Street, died on Monday, March 31, 2003, at Riverside Rest Home in Dover.
Born on Sept. 4, 1924, in Farmington, the daughter of Walter and Hazel (Ham) Hart, she was a lifelong resident here and was a graduate of Farmington High School.
A shoe worker, she had worked at local shoe factories. She enjoyed drawing, writing and spending time with her friends.
She was predeceased by her brother, Walter H. Hart Jr. She will be remembered for her kindness and friendship.
A graveside service will be held later in the spring at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington.

Archie Horne Jr.
ALTON - Archie A. Horne Jr., 88, of Main Street, died on Saturday, April 5, 2003, at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro.
Born on Dec. 11, 1914, in Wolfeboro, he was the son of Archie A. and Ethel (Bartlett) Horne Sr.
He had resided in Alton since 1949, having come from Wolfeboro.
He attended Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro and was a graduate of Dean Academy, Class of 1934, in Franklin, Mass., and Wesleyan University, Class of 1938, in Middletown, Conn.
An avid baseball player, he played with the St. Louis Cardinals Farm Team from 1939-1941 and also with local teams.
During World War II, he served with the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theatre.
He and his wife, Eleanor, had owned and operated Horne’s 5 & 10 in Alton from 1949 to 1969. He had also owned and operated Horne’s Ford Garage in Wolfeboro, having sponsored the Punt, Pass and Kick for children in the Wolfeboro area.
Mr. Horne served as the last Municipal Court Judge
in Alton for 18 years.
Active with the Town of Alton, he was a former member of the Budget Committee, trustee of Trust Funds, a former town treasurer and was on the building committee for the Alton Central School.
He was a member of the Claude R. Batchelder Post No. 72 of the American Legion in Alton, where he ran Beano. A 50-year Mason, he was a member of Morning Star Lodge F&AM in Wolfeboro, a member of the Grand Lodge of Masons in New Hampshire and a member of Alpha Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, formerly of Alton.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sharon L. and Raymond R. Howard of Alton; two grandchildren, R. Richard and his wife, Wendy Howard of Cheshire, Conn., and Karin L. and her husband, Darrel Mansfield of Alton; four great-grandchildren, Steven, Nathan and Jill Howard, and Courtney Mansfield; a brother, Paul E. Horne of North Attleboro, Mass.; first cousins, Geraldine Gillis of Peabody, Mass., and Herbert E. Miller of Alton; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor (Dutton) Horne; a sister, Beatrice L. French; and a brother, Maurice Horne.
Calling hours are today from 7 to 9 p.m. at C.E. Peaslee and Son Alton Funeral Home, School Street, Alton.
The funeral service will be on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Community Church of Alton, Church Street, Alton, with the Rev. Peter Bolster, pastor, officiating.
Interment will be later in the spring at the Lake View Cemetery in Wolfeboro.

Everett Hussey
NOTTINGHAM - Everett A. Hussey, 77, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2003. He was predeceased by his wife, Virginia (Brackett) Hussey.
He was born on Dec. 27, 1925, to Nathan and Violet (Barrett) Hussey.
He was the loving and devoted father of Jean Christensen and her husband, Roy of Billerica; cherished grandfather of Marjorie Proia of Billerica, Deborah Crowley of Billerica and Roy Christensen of Tewksbury. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in J.E. Henderson Funeral Home, 517 Broadway, Everett. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Visitation will be held prior from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be private.
William Kafkas
DOVER - William C. Kafkas, 86, formerly of Portland Avenue, and the former owner of Ross Furniture Co., died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at Langdon Place of Dover.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave.

Albertine Leduc
WOONSOCKETT, R.I. - Albertine Mary (Barrette) Leduc, 97, of 8 St. Joseph St., Woonsocket, died Saturday, April 5, 2003, at Mt. St. Francis Health Center, Woonsocket.
She was born on July 15, 1905, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Jallette) Barrette in St. Didace Conte-de-Maskinonge, P.Q., Canada.
She was predeceased by her husband, Paul R. Leduc in 1979.
She settled in Woonsocket from Canada in 1923 and worked in various greater Woonsocket mills.
She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and a former member of the Dames de St. Ann’s of the Parish.
She is survived by two sons, Armel Leduc of Woonsocket and Robert J. Leduc of Portsmouth, N.H.; three daughters, Lucille Tardie of Pascoag, Muriel Bouthillette of Lincoln and Constance Seider of Woonsocket; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Sinai, Euclide Barrette Sr., Florentine Barrette, Fabiola Lamoureux, Louise Lambert and Mary Ann Marquis.
Funeral services will be held in Woonsocket, R.I.
MaryAnn Byron
DOVER - MaryAnn M. Byron, 60, of 361 Washington St., died Sunday, June 1, 2003, after a lengthy illness.
Born July 1, 1942, in Beverly, Mass., she was the daughter of Romeo and Arliene (Otis) Sylvain.
Mrs. Bryon had lived in Dover for the past nine years, after moving from Rollinsford and Rochester.
She was the manager of the Scrubbing Board in Rochester for 15 years.
She enjoyed flowers and traveling to Niagara Falls and Bar Harbor with her husband. She was a member of the Dover Moose Lodge.
Members of her family include her husband of nine years, William Byron of Dover; her daughter, Sheila (Keith) Lessard and her husband, Kevin of Auburn; her son, Thom Keith and his wife, Laurie of Eliot, Maine; her grandchildren, Madeleine and Cydney Lessard, both of Auburn; a brother, Normand MacDonald of Farmington; and her sisters, Lillian Cardinal of Farmington and Julie Perry of Ohio.
She was predeceased by a son, David Keith.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. with a funeral to be held at 6 p.m. in the chapel of the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., Rochester.

Bonnie Cress-Bouchard
ELIOT, Maine - Bonnie Cress-Bouchard, 51, of Eliot, and most recently of Manchester, N.H., died Friday, May 30, 2003, at the Elliot Hospital, following a period of failing health.
She was born in Portsmouth, N.H., on Sept. 25, 1951, a daughter of Philip and Patricia (Lonsway) Cress.
She attended local schools, graduating from Marshwood High School in Eliot, Class of 1969. During her school career, she was active in the sports program at Marshwood, playing basketball and volleyball. She furthered her education by attending the University of Maine at Gorham and the New Hampshire Technical College, both in Portsmouth and Stratham, N.H., where she received her degree as a registered nurse.
During the early 1980s, she was employed as a model for a number of companies. Most recently, she was a registered nurse at the Edgewood Center in Portsmouth, where she taught a number of nursing classes at the Tall Pines in Belfast and at Accu-Care in Manchester, N.H.
She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking. She learned many of the recipes from her grandmother. They were enjoyed by her family, especially her piled-high apple pies and preserves.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Eliot, where she had served her church as a deaconess.
She is survived by her loving family including her parents, Philip and Patricia (Lonsway) Cress of Eliot; her husband, Eric M. Bouchard of Manchester; a son, Andrew Blowen and his wife, Pam of Dover, N.H.; two daughters, Meredith Blowen and her partner, Sharon of Stratham, and Rachel Blowen of Newmarket, N.H.; a sister, Robin Belanger and her husband, Timothy of Eliot; three brothers, Richard Cress of South Berwick, Donald Cress of Rochester, N.H., and Timothy and his wife, Dawn Cress of North Berwick; an aunt, Geraldine Ball of South Berwick; an uncle, Donald Lonsway of Eliot; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Philip "Skip" Cress.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Eliot. Family flowers only.

Albertina Hoogeveen
EPSOM - Albertina "Poppy" Hoogeveen, 84, died on Monday, June 2, 2003, at the Epsom Retirement Center.
She was born in Oostermeer, Friesland, Netherlands, on Jan. 2, 1919.

Robert Weston
NOTTINGHAM - Robert C. Weston, 68, of 347 Stage Road, Route 152, West Nottingham, died Tuesday evening, June 2, 2003, at his residence, after a period of failing health.

James Cruea
LEBANON, Maine - James E. Cruea, 27, of Lebanon, died Saturday, Sept. 27, at Southern Maine Medical Center in Biddeford.
He was born Oct. 31, 1975, in Rochester, the son of Virgil and Judith Hopkins Cruea. He was a graduate of Noble High School, where he was on the football team and worked locally as a machinist.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his snowmobile, and anything else that involved being in the outdoors. He also had fun tinkering with cars and playing poker on Saturday nights with his friends. He loved spending time with his family, and especially took great pride in his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Virgil Cruea.
Surviving are his mother, Judith Cruea, of Lebanon; one brother, Virgil Cruea Jr. and Vicki, of Piqua, Ohio; four sisters, Angela Eldridge and Bill, Mary Mailhot and Jason, Rebecca Whitehouse and Jeremy, all from Lebanon, and Kristine Hackett and Jason, of Middleton N.H.; his grandmother, Louise Hopkins, of Rochester; his grandfather, James Hopkins of Idaho; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 1 p.m,. at the Heald Funeral Home, 580 Main St. in Springvale, Maine.
