Virginia Hayes
KITTERY, Maine - Virginia L. Hayes, 71, of 13 Park Avenue, died peacefully at her home after a brief illness, Monday, Dec. 31, 2001.
Mrs. Hayes was born in Randolph, Mass., Nov. 1, 1930, the daughter of Harry C. and Helen D. (Anderson) Isaac, Jr.
Raised in Randolph she later joined the US Air Force serving during the post Korean era.
Mrs. Hayes moved to Hampton Falls, N.H. in 1958 and had been a Kittery resident since 1976.
She worked as a clerk at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard from the late 1950s to the early 1980s, where she was responsible for expediting the shipments of materials and equipment required for the manufacture and repair of submarines.
She was a former member of the Portsmouth Music Hall and an avid reader.
Mrs. Hayes was the wife of the late Walter C. Hayes, who died in 1991.
Family members include her son, Wayne C. Isaac and his wife Nancy of Londonderry, N.H.; two grandchildren, Karen Isaac and Jeffrey Isaac both of Londonderry, N.H.; two brothers, Richard D. Isaac and his wife, Rita, of Holbrook, Mass., and Kenneth Isaac and his wife, Jean, of South Weymouth, Mass.; a sister, Beverly Stanley of North Haverhill, N.H.; several nieces, nephews, three stepsons and several step-grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, Saturday at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited and may call at the funeral home, Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Burial will be in the Orchard Grove Cemetery, Kittery. The family requests that flowers please be omitted. If desired, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
Richard Moore
MILTON - Richard Eugene Moore, 67, of 87 Pineland Park, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester after a brief illness.
Mr. Moore was born in Rivesville, W.V., on Dec. 7, 1934, the son of Harry T. and Mary E. (Freeland) Moore and had been living in Milton for the past 15 years, moving from Farmington.
He was a graduate of Rivesville High School, Class of 1954. He served in the U. S. Air Force from 1954 to 1965 during the Korean War. While in the military he was stationed in Witchita, Kan., and Portsmouth as a Tech Sgt., training pilots in an airplane simulator. He was later employed and retired from Davidson Rubber, Textron in Farmington. He was a member of the NRA and the New Hampshire Hunter Safety Association.
Mr. Moore enjoyed many hobbies, the outdoors and the love of his family and friends.
Surviving members of the family include three sons, Richard Moore Jr. of Revere, Mass., John S. Moore of Rochester, and Paul J. Moore of Milton; two daughters, Lisa Ayers of Somersworth and Laura Jager of Clarkston, Mich.; a brother, David Moore of Washington, Va.; a sister, Janet Reckart of Rivesville, W.V.; grandchildren, Corey and Derek Ayers and Brian and Erik Phillips; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Warren K. and Harry I. Moore.
Friends may call at the H. J. Grondin & Son Funeral Home, 177 North Main Street, Rochester on Friday from 9 to 11 a.m.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 4, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Wayne Nelson officiating.
Burial will be in the McCurdysville Cemetery, McCurdysville, W.V., on Sunday following a 2 p.m. service at the Ford Funeral Home in Rivesville, W.V. Louise Moses
EXETER - Louise Parker Moses, 72, of 8 Fox Chapel Center, Exeter and formerly of 708 Central Ave., Dover died peacefully at her home, Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 14, 1929, the daughter of John and Velma (Adams) Parker and formerly lived in Ann Arbor, Mich., prior to moving to New Hampshire in 1988.
Prior to her retirement in 2000, she was employed at St. Ann Home in the dietary department. She was formerly the secretary for the Washtenaw County Medical Society.
She was a communicant of St. Charles Church in Dover and was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society of the church.
She is survived by her daughter with whom she made her home, Christine L. Moses of Exeter; two son, Mark G. Moses and David P. Moses both of Ann Arbor, Mich.; two grandsons, Thomas P. McHugh and Matthew C. McHugh both of Exeter; a sister, Celestine P. Hanan of Skull Valley Ariz.; and aunt, Madelyn Adams of Cynthiana, Ky.; several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Ave., Dover.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Charles Church, 577 Central Ave., Dover with the Rev. Paul Gregoire, pastor as celebrant.

Carroll Moulton
EAST LEBANON, Maine - Carroll Hancie Moulton, 83, of 42 West Lebanon Road died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at his home after a brief illness
He was born March 6, 1918, in North Berwick, the son of Hancie and Edith (Ramsdell) Moulton. He was a graduate of North Berwick High School.
Mr. Moulton served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked as a compounder for American Cyanomid in Sanford until his retirement in 1981.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Rochester, N.H. He also served as a selectman for the Town of Lebanon for 13 years.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Florence (St. Saviour) Moulton; four daughters, Lorraine Patch and her husband, Ronal, of Lebanon, Carol Hartford and her husband, Ernest, of Prescott, Ariz., Beverly Johnston and her husband, John, of Hancock and Laurel York and her husband, Roger, of Waterville; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Gerald (Viola) Allen of Wells and Margaret Davis of East Rochester, N.H.; several nieces and nephews.

Service for Gordon Robinson
BARRINGTON - Gordon Edwin Robinson, 78, of Rosemary Lane, died peacefully in his sleep at home on Monday, Dec. 31, 2001. He was the husband of Helen (Caldwell) Robinson.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home, 77 Exeter St., Newmarket, followed by a 6 p.m. Masonic service at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from the chapel of the Community Church of Durham, Main Street, Durham, with the Rev. Mary Westfall officiating. A reception will follow at the church.

Bradley A. Nason
DOVER - Bradley A. Nason, 73, formerly of Portsmouth, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, at Riverside Rest Home in Dover after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Nason was born Feb. 18, 1928, in Westbrook, Maine, the son of the late Delbert and Lillian (Whitney) Nason. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served during the Korean War. Mr. Nason was a chef for Poland Springs in Poland, Maine; Wentworth By the Sea in New Castle; and the Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods. He was an avid bridge player and ran a bridge club out of Portsmouth.
Family members include his wife of 44 years, Ruth (Long) Nason; a son, Charles Nason of Dover; five daughters, Beth Archer of Rollinsford, Laurel Miles of Albuquerque, N.M., Diane Nason of Kennebunk, Maine, Rebecca Cahill of East Rochester and Eileen Nason of Texas; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Percy Nason of Tennessee, David Nason of Falmouth, Maine, and Wayne Nason of Cornish, Maine; a sister, Rebecca Williams of Standish, Maine; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Nason was predeceased by a son, Stephen Nason.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2001, at 1 p.m. at Dover Baptist Church on Washington Street. Burial will take place at Pine Grove Cemetery in North Yarmouth, Maine, in the spring.
The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is in charge of arrangements.
Marion Louise Stanley
MILTON - Marion Louise (Goodwin) Stanley, 95, of Milton died Friday, Jan. 4, 2002, at the Rochester Manor.
The daughter of Charles B. and Mary Closson Goodwin, she was born at the family home, Pine Grove Farm, in West Lebanon, Maine, on July 4, 1906. She graduated from West Lebanon High School in 1924, attended the University of New Hampshire, majoring in French, and graduated in 1928 with a bachelor of arts degree in liberal arts. She married Harold Bradley Stanley on Sept. 12, 1939, in West Lebanon, Maine, and had been widowed since 1962.
Marion started her teaching career at West Lebanon Grammar School, walking from Milton early each morning to start the fire in the wood stove at the school. She later taught for 15 years at Milton Mills and Milton, retiring after 27 years of service to the community. She continued to serve the community through her activities in the Milton Women’s Club and Milton Women’s Union, where she served in various leadership positions, including president and recording secretary. She has been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star sine April 18, 1944. Marion was an adventurous spirit who loved to travel, enjoyed the outdoors, and knitting, crocheting and making crafts. She continued to knit and crochet caps, mittens, scarves and slippers for nursing home residents and other local charities.
Marion will be remembered as a wonderful teacher, for her unselfish acts of kindness and for her work at the annual summer bazaars.
Marion is survived by her cousin, Alice Hodsdon of Yarmouth, Maine.

Mary Anderson
HAMPTON - Mary Anderson, 83, of 22 Tuck Road, died Jan. 5, 2002, at the Seacoast Health Center in Hampton after a brief illness.
She was born Jan. 27, 1918, in Nashua, the daughter of the late James Peter and Catherine Mary (Shields) Burke.
She was a resident of Exeter for more than 40 years. A lifelong Catholic, she was a Communicant of St. Michael’s Church.
She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Henry C. Anderson Sr., who died Feb. 13, 1992, and also her son, Henry C. Anderson Jr., who died on Jan. 18, 1992.
She is survived by her son, Peter Anderson of Dover; her daughter, Maureen Cummings of North Hampton; three grandchildren and one great grandson.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 8, from 9-10:45 a.m. at the Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Michael’s Church, located on the corner of Front and Lincoln streets in Exeter. Burial will then follow in the Exeter Cemetery.
Marion Stanley
MILTON - Marion Louise Stanley, 95, of Milton, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2002, at the Rochester Manor.

George MacDonald
ALTON - George F. MacDonald, 80, of New Durham Road in Alton, died Friday evening, Jan. 4, 2002, at Riverside Rest Home in Dover after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his family.
Born Nov. 7, 1921, in Medford, Mass., he was the son of the late John H. and Averille (Cushman) MacDonald. He resided in Alton for 24 years, having come from Arlington, Va., where he had lived for 20 years and prior to that in Massachusetts.
A World War II veteran, George served with the U.S. Navy and the U. S. Army, retiring after 20 years. Also, he had worked on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., as an air conditioning and heating technician.
A communicant at St. Joan of Arc Church in Alton, he was also a member of the Claude R. Batchelder Post No. 72 American Legion of Alton, and a member of the Navy Fleet Reserve.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Mary T. (Galvin) MacDonald of Alton; two daughters, Janet M. and her husband Roy Plourd of Alton, and Susan M. MacDonald of Center Conway; two brothers, Robert MacDonald of Berlin and Edwin MacDonald of Manchester; one sister, Violet "Bernice" MacDonald of Berlin; also many nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2002, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at C.E. Peaslee and Son Alton Funeral Home, School Street, Alton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 1 p.m. at St. Cecilia’s Church on South Main Street in Wolfeboro, with Fr. George Robichaud, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will be in the spring at the New Riverside Cemetery in Alton.
Winnifred Kotsimpulos
PORTLAND, Maine - Winnifred A. Kotsimpulos, 85, of Belfort Street, died Jan. 2, 2002, at Cedars Nursing Care Facility in Portland following a lengthy illness. She was born in North Conway, N.H., a daughter of Ralph A. and Nellie Leavitt Richardson.
Mrs. Kotsimpulos worked as a seamstress most of her life until she retired at the age of 73. An outdoor enthusiast, she especially enjoyed animals. She was a lifelong member of Eastern Star and was very active throughout the years in the Salvation Army.
She was predeceased by her husband, Nicolia Kotsimpulos in 1999.
She is survived by three daughters, Dianne Durr of Portland, Victoria Crane of Michigan and Susan Gibson of Pennsylvania; her mother-in-law, Marie Molony of Portland; a granddaughter, Leah Durr of Portland; a grandson, Nicolia Kotsimpulos Jr. of Eliot, Maine; two sisters, Beatrice Sturdevant of California and Bernice Lyle of Kittery; two nieces, Meredith Ernie of South Berwick and Beverly Edwards of Virginia. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews, and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private. A spring internment will take place at First Parish Cemetery in York. Arrangements are by Hay & Peabody Funeral Home, Portland.
Anthony Brucato
HAMPTON - Anthony M. "Tony" Brucato, 19, of 31 Presidential Circle, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002. He was born June 12, 1982, in Dover, the son of Allan P. and Barbara A. (Burley) Brucato of Hampton.
Mr. Brucato was a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High school and was a sophomore at Boston University.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, a member of the White Mountain 4000 Foot Club and a member of the Quiz Bowl at Boston University.
He leaves his parents, Allan P. and Barbara A. (Burley) Brucato of Hampton; one sister, Lynn A. Widger and her husband, Gary, of Dover; his maternal grandparents, Leo and Barbara Burley of Stoughton, Mass.; aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Miraculous Church, Hampton, Thursday at 10 a.m.

Margaret Buck
ROCHESTER - Margaret Buck, 80, of Milton Road, formerly of New York City, N.Y., died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at Frisbee Memorial Hospital in Rochester after a sudden illness.
She was born in Beverly, Mass., May 11, 1921, the daughter of Thomas A. and Margaret (Park) Buck.
She has lived in Rochester for the past 14 years, moving from New York City.
A graduate of New York University, she earned her degree in nursing.
She was a 1st Lt. in the Nurses Corps of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II. After her discharge from the Army, she was the supervising nurse for Mobil Oil Company.
She is survived by her brother, George Buck and his wife, Mary, of Rochester; and seven nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in the family lot in North Beverly Cemetery, Beverly, Mass.
For those who may desire, contributions in her memory may be made to your local Salvation Army.
