Nancy Fournier
SOMERSWORTH - Nancy B. Fournier, 90, formerly of High Street, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002 at the Oxford Health Care Center, Haverhill, Mass., after a long illness.
Mrs. Fournier was born on Jan. 12, 1912, in Somersworth and was the daughter of Alfred and Alice (Gauvin) Fournier. She was raised in Somersworth and lived in the community for most of her life. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her family and loved working in the garden.
After her husband’s retirement in the 1970s, she and her husband would spend winters in Florida. They eventually settled in Lake View Estates in Port Orange in the early 1980s and called it home for nearly 20 years.
Family members include two sons, Lee and his wife Jeannine Fournier of Haverhill, Mass., and Lew Fournier of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 11 nephews and nieces. Her brothers Robert, James, Lucien and a sister Margaret Tuttle predeceased her. Her husband, Alfred Fournier, predeceased her in 1998.
Visitation for family and friends will be in Bernier Funeral Home, 49 South Street, Somersworth, on Monday, March 4, 2002, from 9-10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 4, at 11 a.m. in St. Martin Catholic Church, W. High Street, Somersworth, with the Rev. Aaron Pfaff, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Florida at the convenience of the family.

Louise Stone
SALEM - Louise C. (Bennett) Stone, 76, of Salem, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at her son’s home in Sandwich.
She was born in Fitchburg, Mass., where she grew up and attended schools. Mrs. Stone was a resident of Salem for the past 45 years. She also resided in Hollywood, Fla., for the winters, and Paugus Bay in the summer.
Mrs. Stone was a coil winder for Western Electric in North Andover, Mass., for over 20 years. She was a member of the Pioneers. She enjoyed cooking, shuffleboard and reading. She also was an avid knitter, knitting socks for many people. People would refer to them as "Grammy Stone Socks."
She is survived by her husband, Howard W. Stone Jr., of Salem; a daughter, Linda and her husband John Wayman Sr. of Litchfield; three sons, Randall E. Stone of Salem, Ronnie P. and his wife Jackie Stone of Sandwich, and Kenneth W. and his wife Lois Stone of Las Vegas, Nev.; a daughter-in-law, Linda Stone of Missouri; 10 grandchildren, Sheri (Seddon) Stickney, William Seddon, John T. Wayman Jr., Vuthy Yok, Jessica Stone, Howard W. Stone III, James Stone, Sharon Swafford, Trena Wollery, Darla Thrasher; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Gary A. Stone.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 5, at 9 a.m. at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem.
Calling hours will be held Monday, March 4, from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arthur Henderson
KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Arthur S. Henderson, 63, of Verona Street, Kissimmee, died Saturday, March 2, 2002.
Born in Rochester, N.H., he moved to central Florida in 1972.
Mr. Henderson was a retired maintenance man. He was Protestant.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Korea.
Survivors include three daughters, Cindy Albertson and Sandy Gagnon, both of Dover, N.H., and Debbie Cormier of Limerick, Maine; his mother, Lucy Henderson of Kissimmee; four brothers, Eugene and John both of Rochester, N.H., Jim of New Boston, N.H., and Tim of Kissimmee; and seven grandchildren.
Grace Healey
SOMERSWORTH - Grace A. Healey, 90, formerly of Plaza Terrace, died Saturday, March 2, 2002, at the St. Ann Home in Dover after a period of failing health.
Grace was born Sept. 1, 1911, in Somersworth, the daughter of Leonidas and Lucia (Paquette) Turcotte. She was educated in Somersworth schools and had resided here most of her life.
Grace was the widow of Harold Healey, who died in 1959. She was also predeceased by four brothers, William Turcotte, Arthur Turcotte, Romeo Turcotte and Albert Turcotte, and two sisters, Valeda Desmarais and Maria Grondin.
Survivors include two brothers, Leo and Raymond Turcotte, both of Florida.; two sisters, Rose Shaltrey of Dover and Loraine Crouch of Berwick, Maine; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, at St. Martin Church with Fr. Aaron Pfaff, pastor, officiating. Burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Martin Church.
Helen LeBlanc
PORTSMOUTH - Helen LeBlanc, 84, of 20 Islington St., passed away Saturday, March 2, 2002, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital after a period of failing health.
Born in Portsmouth on Nov. 6, 1917, she was the daughter of Cornelius and Helen (Campbell) Driscoll. She attended St. Patrick School, graduated from Portsmouth High School with the class of 1934, and was a graduate of Plymouth Business College.
Helen was employed for more than 40 years at the National Gypsum Company.
She was an active member of the St. Catherine of Sienna Church, and volunteered at the Soup Kitchen and the Senior Center. She was a longtime member of AA.
The widow of Eugene J. LeBlanc, who died in 1981, she is survived by her son Dick E. LeBlanc of Richmond, Calif.; three grandchildren, Barbara, Christopher and James; a great-grandson Malcolm and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two daughters, Mary LeBlanc and Frances LeBlanc; two brothers, Cornelius and John Driscoll; and a sister, Mary Bray.

Robert Musgrove
BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Robert W. Musgrove, 72, died on Thursday, Feb. 28.
Musgrove was the superintendent of schools for SAU 30 (Laconia, Gilford and Gilmanton) from 1973-84. He retired to Brooklyn three years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Martha E. (Berkey) Musgrove; children Robert H. Musgrove and Claudia DePue; grandchildren Jeremy Hosier and Jessica Musgrove; sister Janet Grant of Los Angeles, Calif.
A memorial service will be held Wed., 11 a.m., at the Clavin Funeral Home, 7722 Fourth Ave., Brooklyn, N.Y. Mr. Musgrove’s family is planning to establish a scholarship in his name with the Lakes Region Scholarship Foundation and are requesting that donations be sent in lieu of flowers to LRSF, P.O. Nicholas Angelo
YORK, Maine - Nicholas Angelo, 87, formerly of Medford, Mass., died Tuesday, March 12, 2002, in Maine.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II, and the Berlin crisis.
He was employed with McAdams Dairy, H.P.Hood, and Stone and Webster.
Predeceased by his wife, Marjorie Ella (Black) Angelo, who died March 9, 2002.
He was the father to Nicholas Angelo II and Rosalee Monroe; brother of Edna Gallant and Rose Polsie. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bibber Memorial Chapel in Wells. Prayers at 11 a.m. on Friday at the chapel. A joint committal service will be held in Ocean View Cemetery, Wells.

Roland Bouchard
SANFORD, Maine - Roland J. Bouchard, 53, of Island Ave., died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 12, 2002, at home.
He was born in Frenchville, Aug. 22, 1948, a son of Hubald and Annie (Rossignol) Bouchard, and attended schools there.
He moved to Sanford in 1971 where he worked for many years as a house painter.
Family members recalled that he liked music and played the guitar and sang, mostly for his own pleasure, but sometimes for family and friends as well.
Survivors include his mother of Sanford; two daughters, Lisa Ducharme of Alfred and Tammy Bouchard of Milton, N.H.; seven brothers, Philip Bouchard of New Milford, Conn., Rosaire Bouchard and Gilbert Bouchard, both of Florida, Gerard Bouchard and Normand Bouchard, both of Watertown, Conn., Bertrand Bouchard and Lucien Bouchard, both of Sanford; four sisters, Rose Cox of Waterbury, Conn., Jean Theriault of Bridgton, Mary Albert of Fort Kent, Arlene Pelletier of Sanford; and four grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held form 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the LaFrance-Lambert Funeral Home, 29 Winter St., Sanford, where are funeral service will follow at 8 p.m.
Gertrude Bruley
ROCHESTER - Gertrude Marie Bruley, 82, formerly of 5 Riverlawn Ave., died Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at the Riverside Nursing Home in Dover after a period of failing health.
Mrs. Bruley was born in Manchester on April 4, 1919, the daughter of Phillip and Olivine (Lanoix) Dupont and had been a resident of the Rochester area for most of her life. She was a retired machine operator for General Electric in Somersworth.
She was predeceased by her brother, Armand (Skip) Lesperance, and her husband, Laurier Bruley, who died in 1998.
Surviving members of the family include: one daughter, Dawn Lapierre of Rochester; three sons, Richard Lesperance of Puntagorda, Fla., Donald Lesperance of Rochester and James Lesperance of Farmington; one stepson, Rene Bruley of North Smithfield, R.I.; one stepdaughter, Annette Pare of Blackstone, Mass.; one sister, Lucille Colby of Dover; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the H.J. Grondin & Son Funeral Home, 177 North Main St., Rochester.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at St. Leo’s Church in Gonic with burial in the spring in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Gonic.

Roland Faucher
ROCHESTER - Roland Faucher, 84, of 70 Whitehouse Road, died Tuesday, March 12, 2002, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
He was born, Sept. 13, 1917, in Somersworth and was the son of Joseph and Leona (Lapointe) Faucher. He was raised in Somersworth, attending schools in that community. Mr. Faucher had lived in the Somersworth-Rochester area all of his life.
He was a factory worker by trade and had worked in several area shops including Converse Shoe Company.
Family members include two brothers, Gerard and George Faucher both of Somersworth; a sister, Theresa Bossie of Exeter; his grandchildren, Mrs. Nathan (Yvette) Faucher-Smith of Pomfret, Conn; his great-grandchildren, Matthew Roy Smith and Dale Henry Smith; his daughter-in-law, Pauline Faucher-Ainsworth of Sanford, Maine; his very close friends Donald and Irene Laroche of Sanford, Maine.
He was predeceased by a son, Roy Faucher and by his wife, Diane (Roy) Faucher who died in May 1983.
There are no services planned. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Somersworth at the convenience of the family.

Beatrice Fish
FARMINGTON - Beatrice "Bee" H. Fish, 91, formerly of Charles Street, died on Tuesday, March 12, 2002, at Hanover Hill Healthcare Center in Manchester.
Born May 1, 1910, at home in Farmington, she was the daughter of Ray and Ruth (Tufts) Hartfiel. A lifelong resident of Farmington, she was a graduate of Farmington High School and had attended McIntosh College.
During World War II, she went to Washington, D.C., and worked for the Department of Agriculture and the Pentagon. While there, she also worked at the Washington Canteen. She met and married Samuel E. Morris in 1945. She had also worked as a bookkeeper for the former H.O. Rondeau Shoe Co. in Farmington.
A member of the First Congregational Church of Farmington, she was a deacon, a warden and also sang in the choir at church. She was a member of the Farmington Woman’s Club, the Order of the Eastern Star, the American Legion Auxiliary and a member of the Historical Society.
The widow of Earl R. Fish, who died in 1994, whom she married in 1983, she is survived by her daughter, Paula H. "Sammie" McCoy; son-in-law, Charles McCoy; granddaughter, Jessica Hope McCoy of Derry; several cousins; and two nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Farmington, Main Street, Farmington, with the Rev. Susan Goodwin, pastor, officiating.
The calling hour is prior to the service from 12 to 1 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the spring at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington.

Beverley Fredrickson
SOUTH BERWICK, Maine - Beverley C. Fredrickson, 79, formerly of 6 Spring Tree Lane, South Berwick, and a former 50-year resident of Derry, N.H., died Thursday, March 14, 2002, at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, Dover, N.H.

Henry Proulx Jr.
TEWKSBURY, Mass. - Henry E. Proulx Jr., 51, a well-known service technician in restaurants throughout the greater Boston area, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday morning, March 13, 2002, at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell.
He was the husband of Sandra L. (Deinstadt) Proulx, with whom he had celebrated a 23rd wedding anniversary this past Aug. 5.
He was born in Rochester, N.H., a son of Elizabeth (Marsh) Proulx of Rochester and Henry E. Proulx Sr. He was raised in Rochester and graduated from Spaulding High School. He attended Boston College.
Mr. Proulx served with the U.S. Army in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was employed by the Mass Restaurant Equipment Service Company in Somerville and worked in restaurants and food processing companies throughout the greater Boston Area.
He was active in the Tewksbury Youth Sports Leagues, where he served as coach for both girls soccer and boys basketball. He was a member of the Community Christian Fellowship Church of Lowell, where he worked tirelessly and touched the hearts of many. He will be remembered for always reaching out to help those in need. He will be remembered by his family as a loving and wonderful husband and father.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Stacey and her husband, Peter Brouillard of Lowell, Jill Proulx of Virginia and Shannon Proulx of Tewksbury; two sons, Steven Proulx and Jonathan Proulx, both of Tewksbury; a sister and brother-in-law, Yvette and her husband, William Bickford of Methuen; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, David and Sharon Proulx of Farmingham, N.H., James Proulx of Rochester and Martin and his wife, Cathy Proulx of Worcester; and extended family in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Arizona.
Relatives and friends will be received Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of Dewey and Main Streets (Route 38), Tewksbury center. His funeral service will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the Community Christian Fellowship Church, 205 Industrial Ave., Lowell. Please omit flowers.

Dorothy Rathje
DOVER - Dorothy L. Rathje, 86, of West Concord Street, died Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at the Riverside Rest Home.
She was born on Dec. 1, 1915, in New York City, N.Y., the daughter of Oscar and Gertrude (Colwell) Sampson. She was raised in New Jersey and had resided in California prior to retiring to New Hampshire in 1980.
She was a member of Cocheco Quilter’s Guild, Dover Senior Citizens, Durham Senior Center, AARP and the Swedish VASA.
The widow of Edward Rathje, members of her family include one son, Edward J. Rathje of Dover; one daughter, Holly Whitehead and her husband, George of Dover; seven grandchildren, Andrea Rathje of Burlington, Vt., Joel Rathje of Drums, Pa., Steven Rathje of Durango, Colo., Cara and Craig Hadley of Dover, Peter and Gina Whitehead of Dover, Megan Whitehead of Somersworth, Erin Whitehead of Dover; four great-grandchildren, Ian Hadley, Aidan Hadley, Cole Whitehead and Mia Whitehead, all of Dover.
She was predeceased by her brother, Oscar C. Sampson.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
