Mary S. Calletta (Chiumento), 73, of Hammonton, died Monday, August 9 [1999] at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Elm, Calletta was an area resident all her life. She was a sewing machine operator and was employed by National Garment Company of Hammonton until her retirement in 1987. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers of America.
Surviving her are: her husband John J.; two sons, Dennis R. Calletta, of Braddock, and John M. Calletta, of Hammonton; two sisters, Jean Cannata, or Rancocas Woods, NJ, and Annette Santora, of Hammonton; and two grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 13 at St. Joseph RC Church in Hammonton.
Internment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hammonton.

Anna M. Aloi
Anna M. Aloi (nee Calderone), 58, of Nesco, died Monday, August 16 [1999] at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Hammonton, she was a lifelong resident of the area. Aloi worked as a legal secretary for several law firms in the southern New Jersey area. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua RC Church in Hammonton.
Surviving her are: her husband, Charles C. Aloi; and one son, Carl S. Aloi, of Jamesburg, NJ.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, August 19 at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church in Hammonton.
Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hammonton.

Melba S. Beebe
Melba S. Beebe (nee Stewart), 94, of the Nesco section of Mullica Twp., died Tuesday, August 17 [1999] at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Nesco, Beebe lived in Waterford from 1944 to 1995. A retired teacher from the Mullica Twp. School System for many years, she also taught in Folsom schools for 12 years. She graduated from Hammonton High School in 1922 and received her teaching degree from Glassboro Normal School in 1926. Melba and her late husband Thomas L. Beebe bought and restored the Spring Garden Inn of Waterford in 1944 which was one of the last original Stage Coach Inns.
Surviving her are: her son, Calvin Beebe, of Pleasant Mills; her daugher, Janet Iona, of Hammonton; her brother, Timothy Stewart, of Laureldale, NJ; her sister, Carolyn Stewart, of Hammonton; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Friday, August 20 at the Marinella Funeral Home in Hammonton.
Burial followed at the Batsto-Pleasant Mills Cemetery.

Nunzio C. Curcio
Nunzio C. Curcio, 82, of Hammonton, died Saturday, August 21 [1999], at the Newcomb Medical Center in Vineland.
Born in Hammonton, Curcio was a lifelong resident. He was the owner and operator of Big Oak Farms in Hammonton, a member of the NJ Farm Bureau, a member of the Hammonton American Legion #186 for 57 years and the Hammonton Republican Club. He served in the US Army Air Force during WWII.
Surviving him are: his wife, Viola (need Barnabei); three sons, Frank Curcio and his wife Ellen, of Winslow Twp., Edward Curcio and his wife Kathleen, of Marlton, and David Curcio and his wife Deborah, of Millville; one daughter, Dr. Linda Ann and her husband Christopher Von Nagy, of Reno, Nevada; two brothers, Samuel Curcio, Esq., of Hammonton, and Anthony Curcio, of Hammonton; one sister, Jeanne Pelle, of Cherry Hill; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter.

Eleanor W. Adams
Eleanor W. Adams, 87, of Hammonton, died Sunday, August 15 [1999], at Newcomb Hospital in Vineland.
Born in Collingdale, Pa., Adams lived in Elwood in Mullica Twp. from 1934 for 33 years where she was a violations and court clerk, retiring in 1966 after 14 years. She lived in Hammonton for 23 years and was the wife of the late Dr. Carlson L. Adams of Hammonton.
Surviving her are: a niece, Doris B. Colwell, of Upper Deerfield, NJ.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Thursday, August 19 at the Landolfi Funeral Home.
Internment followed at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton.

Bruce J. Berenato
Bruce J. Berenato, 37, of Hammonton, died Monday, August 23 [1999] at his residence.
Born in Hammonton, Berenato was a lifelong resident. He was a cement mason for Berenato and Cioffi Construction Company in Blackwood. He graduated form St. Joseph High School Class of 1980, and was an avid race car fan.
Surviving him are: his parents, Charles J. Berenato Sr. and Rita (nee Maimone), of Hammonton; his brother, Charles J. Berenato Jr., of Hammonton; and his sister, Charlotte Corgliano, of Hammonton.

Eleanor D. Cessato
Eleanor D. Cessato (nee Di Lullo), 85, of Hammonton, died Friday, August 27 [1999] at West Jersey Hospital in Marlton.
Born in Fredericktown, Pa., Cessato lived in Waterford for 30 years and the past 37 years in Hammonton. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society of St. Martin Church, a former member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel of St. Anthony Church of Waterford, and a Volunteer at Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton. Wife of the late S. Austin Lisa of Waterford and the late John E. Cessato of Hammonton.
Surviving her are: her son Carmen and wife Sandy Lisa, of Waterford; two step sons, John and his wife Mary Ann Cessato, of Hammonton, and William and his wife Charlotte Cessato, of Hammonton; three daughters, Frances and her husband Thomas Cessato, of Hammonton, Josephine and her husband Philip DeMarco, of Hammonton, and Santina and her husband Hans Lang, of Berlin; three sisters, Rose Paolino, of Bowie, Md., Mary Amendolia, of Waterford, and Sue Massara of Hammonton; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held today at the St. Martin de Porres Church in Hammonton. Burial followed at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Berlin.

Frances Archer
Frances Archer (nee Mazzeo), 84, of Williamstown, died Thursday, August 26 [1999] at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Cecil, NJ, Archer lived in Hammonton for many years before moving to Williamstown. She loved country music, animals and singing in church. Mother of the late Robert.
Surviving her are: four sons, Thomas Archer, of Atco, George Archer, of Williamstown, Harry Archer, of Winslow, and Homer Archer, of Folsom; two daughters, Florence Moore, of Hammonton, and Joan Irizarry, of Buena; two sisters, Mae Johnson, of Vineland, and Margaret Curreri, of Pine Hill; a step-sister, Beatrice Flake-Mann, of Philadelphia; 24 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the convenience of the family.

Portia V. Helliwell
Portia V. Helliwell, 55, of Blue Anchor, and formerly of Woodstown and Pennsgrove, died Saturday, August 21 [1999] in Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Hamilton, Ohio, Helliwell lived in the area for 20 years. She did private duty nursing in this area.
Surviving her are: her husband, Charles E. Helliwell; her daughter, Maggy Helliwell, of Blue Anchor; one brother, Lou Spado, of Hammonton; and one sister, Jessica Spado, of White House Station, NJ.
