Warren M. Murphy
Warren N. Murphy, 87, of Hammonton, died Thursday, November 25 [1999], at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Hammonton, Murphy was a lifelong resident. Murphy owned and operated Warren N. Murphy Insurance Agency along with his wife the late Frances (nee Stanley) until his retirement in 1976 and became the tax assessor for the Town of Hammonton. He also served as Justice of the Peace for Hammonton in the 1940s. He was a member of the Independent Insurance Association. He was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church where he served on the vestry and choir. He was a former member of the Hammonton Exchange Club and past Masonic Master of the M.B. Taylor Lodge #141 F.&A.M. of Hammonton.
Surviving him are: one son, Rev. Warren C. And his daughter-in-law Kate Murphy, of Cody, Wy.; one daughter, Karen and son-in-law Jim Speigel, of Hammonton; his granddaughter, Diane (nee Speigel) and husband Charles Conover, of Hammonton; four grandsons, Kevin and Brian Speigel and Aaron and Malcolm Murphy; and two great-grandsons, Tyler and Keith Conover.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of the Resurrection today at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Hammonton.
Burial followed at Arlington Cemetery in Pennsauken.
Donations may be made to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Peach St. and Central Ave., Hammonton, NJ 08037 or the Hammonton Rescue Squad, 300 S. Egg Harbor Rd., Hammonton, NJ 08037.
Arrangements were made by the Marinella Funeral Home.

A. Marcella DeMarco
A. Marcella DeMarco, 74, of Egg Harbor City, died Wednesday, December 15 [1999], at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Hammonton, DeMarco was an area resident all her life. DeMarco retired in 1984 from Ancora Psychiatric Hospital as a dental hygienist. She was a member of the Egg Harbor Chapter of Deborah and a past den mother for the Hammonton Cub Scouts. She was the beloved wife of Angelo J. Demarco. She was predeceased by her son, Andrew and her sister, Dorothy Marino.
Surviving her are: her brother, Peter Capella Sr., of Devonshire, NJ, six grandchildren and seven great-grandnchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, December 20 at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Hammonton.
Burial followed at Egg Harbor City Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Deborah Hospital Foundation, NJ Region, PO Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015-0820.
Arrangements were made by the Marinella Funeral Home.

Harry P. Ingemi
Harry P. Ingemi, 86, of Hammonton, died Wednesday, December 15 [1999], at Greenbriar Nursing Center.
Born in Hammonton, Ingemi was a lifelong resident. Ingemi was a retired farmer and a member of the Atlantic County Farm Bureau. He was also a member of the Sons of Italy Lodge #1658 of Hammonton, and the Raso Gunning Club. He was predeceased by his daughter Rose Mary
Surviving him are: his wife, Annie (nee Ordille); his daughter, Nancy Sacco and her husband Frank, of Hammonton; and his grandchildren of Frank P. Sacco and Rose Anne Sacco.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 18, at St. Martin de Porres Church in Hammonton.
Burial followed at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hammonton.

Joseph Berenato Jr.
Joseph Berenato Jr., 79, of Hammotnon, died Monday, December 20 [1999], at home.
Born in Hammonton, Berenato was an area resident all his life. Berenato was a retired fruit and produce farmer and co-owner of Berenato Brothers Farm of Hammonton until his retirement in 1985. He was a member of the Hammonton Vol. Fire Co. #1 and the NJ Farmers Bureau.
Surviving him are; two sons, Joseph A. Berenato III, of Hammonton, and David Berenato, of Philadelphia; one daughter, Kathleen Kuznik, of Hammonton; one brother, Henry Berenato, of Hammonton; five grandchildren, Amberly, Heather and Jaime Berenato and Robert and Ernie Vasquez; and two great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Wednesday Evening, December 22, after 6:30 p.m. and Thursday, December 23 after 9 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third St. in Hammonton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 23 at St. Martin de Porres Church in Hammonton.
Internment will follow at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton.
Donations may be made to the Hammonton Rescue Squad, 300 S. Egg Harbor Rd., Hammonton, NJ 08037.
Arrangements were made by the Marinella Funeral Home.

Mary I. Doyle
Mary I. Doyle, 88, of Folsom, died Sunday, December 12 [1999], at Greenbriar Nursing Center.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Doyle was an area resident for many years. Doyle was formerly employed by C & E Cannery and Kimble Glass Inc. she was a ladies aide at St. James Lutheran Church in Folsom and a member of the Folsom Hobby Club, and a former member of the Folsom School Board. She also served as a member fo the Folsom PTA. She was a member of the American Legion Post #186 Auxiliary of Hammonton.
Surviving her are: one son, James K. Doyle, of Vineland; two daughters, Doris A. Pitale, of Hammonton, and Mary Ellen Henry, of Pennsville, NJ; one brother, Louis Avoletta, of Union City, NJ; two sisters, Antoinette Righi, of North Bergen, NJ, and Carmella Avoletta, of Union City, NJ; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a funeral on Thursday, December 16, at St. James Lutheran Church in Folsom. Internment followed in the church cemetery.
Donations may be made to the St. James Lutheran Church, Mays Landing Road, Folsom, NJ 08037.
Arrangements were made by the Marinella Funeral Home.

John F. (Farmer) Neil
John F. (Farmer) Neil, 86, of Nesco, died Monday, December 6 [1999], at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Hammonton, Neil was a lifelong area resident. Neil was self-employed farmer, and during WWII he was a carpenter for the WPA. He also worked as a carpenter for the State of New Jersey, restoring homes in Batsto. Neil was a District Warden for the New Jersey Forest Fire Service his entire adult life and he was a volunteer fireman for the Nesco Volunteer Fire Co. He was an avid hunter and he belonged to the Nesco Sportsman Gunning Club.
Surviving him are: his son, Gordon S. Neil, and his wife Bessie, of Hammonton; two daughters, Sandra Santora, of Hammonton, and Patricia Sbarra and her husband Charles, of Hammonton; one sister, Catherine Neil Roselle, of Hammonton; nine grandchildren, Kathy Neil, Tom Neil and Kim, Tracey Neil and Joane, Patti Chiofalo and Dan, Kelly Brown and Joe, Deanne DeMarco and Brian; 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Friday, December 10, at the Carnesale Funeral Home. Burial followed at Pleasant Mills Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by the Carnesale Funeral Home.

Kathleen H. Augustine
Kathleen H. Augustine (nee Rodio), 51, of Altamonte Springs, Fla., died Tuesday, December 7 [1999], at Florida Hospital in Altamonte Springs.
Born in Hammonton, Augustine lived in Florida for four years. Augustine was a secretary for the USA Corp. in Florida. Augustine was a 1966 graduate of Hammonton High School.
Surviving her are: her husband, Henry Augustine Sr., of Altamonte Spring, Fla.; two sons, Domenick DiGiovannangello, of Hammonton, and Vincent DiGiovannangello, of Hammonton; her father, Louis A. Rodio Sr., of Winslow Twp.; one brother, Louis A. Rodio Jr., of Hammonton, two stepchildren, Henry Augustine Jr., of Hammonton, and Natalie Augustine, of Hammonton; and five grandchildren, Vincent III, Ashley, Domenick Jr., Tyler and Cameron.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 11, at St. Joseph’s RC Church in Hammonton.
Burial followed at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hammonton.
The family requests donations to: The Hammonton Chapter of Deborah Hospital, c/o Mary Inferrera, 538 Fourth Street, Hammonton, NJ 08037.

Nancy C. DeMaio
Nancy C. DeMaio (nee Margliano), 70, of Hammonton, died Friday, December 10 [1999], at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Hammonton, DeMaio was a lifelong resident. DeMaio was a retired machine operator for Crown Pants Company of Hammonton where she worked for many years.
Surviving her are: her nephew, Robert A. Williams, of Hammonton; two sons, John DeMaio, of Waterford, and Jamie DeMaio, of Woodbine; her brother, Joseph Merlino, of Mays Landing; three sisters, Anna Williams, of Hammonton, Jeanette DeMaio, of Hammonton, and Frances Crea, of Edison, NJ; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on December 13, at St. Martin de Porres Church. Burial followed at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton.
Arrangements were made by the Marinella Funeral Home.

Joan M. Scaltrito
Joan M. Scaltrito, 61, of Hammonton, died on Monday, November 22 [1999], at home.
Born in Camden, Scaltrito was a lifelong resident of Hammonton. Scaltrito was the customer service manager at WalMart in Hammonton. She worked previously at the Jamesway Dept. Store in Hammonton.
Scaltrito was predeceased by her son, David Scaltrito.
Surviving her are: her husband, Anthony J. Scaltrito; two daughters, Sharon Scaltrito, of Hammonton, and Karen Ottinger and her husband Chalky, of Vineland; her mother, Rose Pullia, of Hammonton; and one sister, Arlene Blanceh, of Baltimore, Md.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, November 24, at St. Joseph’s RC Church in Hammonton.
Burial followed at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hammonton.
