Samuel F. Perone
Samuel F. Perone Jr., 60, of Hammonton, died Saturday, December 4 [1999] at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Hammonton, Perone was a lifelong resident here. Perone was a CIE coordinator and employed by the Camden County Vocational Technical Schools, Pennsauken Campus. He was a graduate of Hammonton High School, class of 1957, and a graduate of Glassboro State College where he received his B.A. in education and an Industrial Arts Certification. He received his M.A. in educational administration from Rider University. He was a member of the Hammonton Lions Club, past president of CIE Coordinators of South Jersey and past president of Vocational Educational Assoc. of NJ. He was a member of the Burlington County Chapter of Ducks Unlimited. He was a member of St. Isadore the Farmer of Vineland. He was also a member of the National Guard, where he served for 11 years.
Surviving him are: three sons, Samuel Perone, of Hammonton, Curt Perone, of Hammonton, and Bryan Perone, of Hammonton; and one brother, John Perone, of Hammonton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, December 9, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church on North Third Street in Hammonton. Viewing is Wednesday, December 8, evening after 6:30 p.m. and Thursday after 9:30 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home at 102 North Third Street in Hammonton.
Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hammonton.
Donations may be made to the Burlington County Chapter of Ducks Unlimited c/o John Mardone, 216 Park Ave., Evesham, NJ 08053.
Arrangements were made by the Marinella Funeral Home.

Carmela “Mildred” Carina
Carmela “Mildred” Carina, 86, of Hammonton, died Friday, December 3 [1999] at home.
Born in New York City, Carina lived in Hammonton for 84 years. Carina was a retired sewing machine operator for Aggressive Coat Co. of Hammonton. She belonged to the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, the Catholic Daughters of America and she was a past president of the Women’s Auxiliary of the VFW in Hammonton.
Surviving her are: two daughters, Kathleen G. Silipena, of Hammonton, and Phyllis Ruberton, of Hammonton.; one son, John Streich, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one brother, Herbert Martucci, of Merchantville, NJ; four grandchildren, Renee Salvatore, Sheri J. Ruberton, Tony Streich and Joe Allen Streich; and five great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial today at 9:30 a.m. at St. Martin de Porres R.C. Church in Hammonton.
Burial followed at Holy Sepulchera Cemetery in Hammonton.
Donations may be made to St. Martin de Porres R.C. Church, 129 Park Ave., Hammonton, NJ 08037.
Arrangements were made by the Carnesale Funeral Home.

John Anthony Mafodda
John Anthony Mafodda Sr., 61, of Broad Run, Va., and formerly of Hammonton, died Friday, November 19 [1999] in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Born in Phila., Pa., Mafodda lived in Hammonton from 1960 to 1980 before moving to Virginia. He was a regional director of sales for Timeplex Federal Systems Inc. in Fairfax, Va. Mafodda graduated from West Catholic High School for boys class of 1956. He served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1960. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and immediate past Grand Knight of Father Herman J. Veger Council #5561 of Warrenton, Va.
Surviving him are: his wife, Janet Ann; two sons, John Anthony Mafodda Jr. and his wife Jeanne Marie, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Michael William Mafodda, of Broad Run, Va.; his daughter, Heather Ann Mafodda, of Broomall, Pa.; his sister, Dolores LoSasso, of Berwyn, Pa.; and he was the loving grandfather of Anna Marie and Anthony Michael Mafodda, both of Phoenix, Ariz.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 27 at St. Joseph Church in Hammonton. Burial followed at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hammonton.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, donations may be made to St. John’s Fund of Knights of Columbus Council #5561 c/o John Knight, 5861 Williams Drive, Warrenton, Va. 20187.
Arrangements were made by the Marinella Funeral Home.

Linda M. Damringer
Linda M. Daminger, 99, of Hammonton, died Friday, November 26 [1999] at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Clayton, Daminger lived in this area for 85 years. Daminger was a self-employed practical nurse.
Surviving her are: six daughters, Evelyn Mae Boyko, of Lindenwold; Esther Weber, of Elwood, Joan Fiddler, of Chula Vista, Ca., Jean Akin, of Katy, Texas, Lois Mascio, ob Berlin, and Linda McDondald, of Hammonton; one sister, Esther Taylor, of Palmyra, Pa.; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended services on Tuesday, November 30 at the Carnesale Funeral Home in Hammonton.
Burial followed at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton.
The family requests donations to the Mullica Twp. Rescue Squad, Rt. 30 and Union Rd., Elwood, NJ 08217.
Arrangements were made by the Carnesale Funeral Home.

Edward Franklin Kirkwood
Edward Franklin Kirkwood, 92, of the Elm section of Winslow Twp., died Tuesday, November 23 [1999] at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Baltimore, Md., Kirkwood was a resident of Elm since 1988. Kirkwood was a self-employed rigger and heavy equipment mover in the Baltimore area. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran enlisting originally in 1924. He then re-enlisted and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WW II, serving in the South Pacific Theater of War.
Surviving him are: three daughters, Lillian Ruark, of Sun City, Fla., Margaret Toscano, of Sun City, Fla., and Diana Knapp and her husband Joseph, of Sweetwater; one son, George Hoffman, of York, Pa.; one sister, Dorothy Johnson, of Arizona; his companion, Estella Wagonseller, of Elm; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friend attended funeral services on Friday, November 26 at the Landolfi Funeral Home in Hammonton.
A private internment followed at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements were made by the Landolfi Funeral Home.

Stanley Brosko
Stanley Brosko, 66, of Collings Lakes, died Thursday, November 25 [1999] at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Philadelphia, Brosko was a resident of Collings Lakes for 39 years. Brosko recently retired from Globe Dye Works in Philadelphia after 29 years of employment there.
Surviving him are: his wife, Marion T. Brosko (nee Souder); two daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Joseph Kelly, of Collings Lakes, and Marion Brosko and Alex Camacho, of Collings Lakes; one son and daughter-in-law, Stanley J. and Tina Brosko, of Sebastian, Fla.; two brothers, Edmund Brosko, of Philadelphia, and Eugene Brosko, of Collings Lakes; one sister, Stella Pierce, of Marlton; and 4 grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, November 29 at Our Lady of the Lakes R.C. Church in Collings Lakes.
Internment followed at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hammonton.

Jerome T. Mazza
Jerome T. Mazza, 36, of Absecon, died Saturday, November 13 [1999] at his residence.
Born in Vineland, Mazza lived in Hammonton before moving to Absecon two years ago. Mazza was formerly employed as a shipping clerk for the Garvey Corporation in Blue Anchor. He was a former member of the US Army National Guard.
Surviving him are: his wife, Roma; one son, Shawn; his mother, Mary Jane Mazza, of Hammonton; one brother, Joseph H. Mazza, of Hammonton; and one sister, Janine Riggins, of Atlantic City.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial today at 11 a.m. at St. Martin de Porres Church in Hammonton.
Internment followed at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton.
Arrangements were made by the Marinella Funeral Home.

John A. Tomasello Sr.
John A. Tomasello Sr. (Rags), 76, of Hammonton, died Wednesday, November 17 [1999] at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden.
Born in Hammonton, Tomasello was a lifelong resident. He was a retired truck driver for Thomas Vaccaro Trucking Co. of Hammonton for more than 27 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Surviving him are: his wife Helen (nee Romeo); two sons, John Tomasello Jr., of Hammonton, and Albert Tomasello, of Hammonton; three daughters, Carol Tomasello, of Hammonton, Barbara Augustine, of Baker, Fla., and Mary Lou Spiduro, of Folsom; one brother, Anthony Tomasello, of Millville; one sister, Mary Spadaro, of New Brunswick; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Saturday, November 20 at the Marinella Funeral Home in Hammonton.
Burial followed at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton.
