Arnold A. Cappuccio Jr.
Arnold A. Cappuccio Jr., 33, of Collingswood, formerly of Hammonton, died Sunday, January 23 [2000], at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden.
Born in Stratford, Cappuccio was an area resident all his life. He was employed as a career placement executive by Vogue Placement Bureau. He was a graduate of Hammonton High School and Kean College.
Surviving him are: his father, Arnold A. Cappuccio Sr., of Hammonton, and his mother, Patricia O’Donnell Cappuccio, of Collingswood; and his paternal grandfather, Arnold Cappuccio, of Hammonton.
Private services were held at the convenience of the family.
Donations may be made to the Sacred Heart Church, 1010 E. Landis Ave., Vineland, NJ 08360.

Arnold Cappuccio
Arnold Cappuccio, 92, of Hammonton, died on Saturday, November 25 [2000], at his residence.
Born in Hammonton, Cappuccio was a lifelong resident. He retired in 1960 as a coat shaper and chairman for the Union for W. B. Kessler Clothing Co. in Hammonton. With his wife, he also start-ed Ann’s Dress Shop from 1955 until 1997.
Cappuccio was predeceased by his wife Anna (Intessimoni), his son Anthony Cappuccio, and his son-in-law, Clark Mathes.
Surviving him are: his son, Arnold Cappuccio and his wife Patti, of Hammonton; his daughter, JoAnn Mathes, of Hammonton; two brothers, George Cappuccio, of Hammonton, and Emanuel Cappuccio, of Hammonton; his sister, Erma Gilliland, of Oregon; he was the loving grandfather of five; and the loving great-grandfather of six.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, November 30, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s on North Third Street in Hammonton.
Burial will follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hammonton.
Viewing is Thursday, November 30, after 9:30 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third St. in Hammonton.

Matthew W. Bringer
Matthew W. Bringer, 89, of Vineland, formerly of Hammonton, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, January 19 [2000].
Born in Philadelphia, Bringer lived in Hammonton for 37 years and in 1985 he moved to Cape Coral, Fla. and was a resident of Vineland since 1992. Bringer retired in 1975 after 15 years as a chef at the Ancora State Hospital in Ancora.
Surviving him are: three daughters, Joyce Lopez, of Hutchinson, Kan., Dorothy Nicholson, of Vineland, and Brenda DiGioia, of Vineland; two sons, John Bringer, of Beggs, Okla., and James Bringer, of Vineland; one brother, Peter Gartenmayer, of Williamstown; one sister, Catherine Mazza, of Hammonton, also 29 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Tuesday, January 25, at the Landolfi Funeral Home in Hammonton.
Internment followed at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton.
Joseph Continisio
Joseph Continisio, 83, of Hammonton, died Wednesday, January 26 [2000], at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Philadelphia, Continisio was an area resident all his life. He spent the early years of his working career with C & P Coat Company as a buyer of children’s clothes and a cutter in the coat factory. He later entered the banking field, spending his career with Hammonton Savings and Loan, retiring in 1972 as president of the former Empire Savings & Loan. Continisio was a 1935 graduate of Hammonton High School. He was an active leader in many community organizations, including the president of the Hammonton Little League, an elder, trustee, and treasurer of the Presbyterian Church in Hammonton, and as president and long-time member of the Hammonton Kiwanis Club. During WWII he was a lieutenant in the U.S. Army, serving both as a pilot and in the Cavalry Division. He was married for 49 years to the late Kay Del Vecchio.
Surviving him are: two children, Joseph Continisio Jr., of Hammonton, and Lucille Jerue, of Absecon; two brothers, Ralph Continisio, of Hammonton, and Aurelio Continisio, of Hammonton.; two sisters, Mary Bancheri, of Ocean City, and Jenny Schenk, of Hammonton; four grandchildren, Cara and Joseph Continisio III and Paul and Steven Jerue; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends attended services on Saturday, January 29, at the Presbyterian Church in Hammonton.
Internment followed at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton.

Celeste A. Lehew
Celeste A. Lehew (Pacitti), 73, of Elmtowne, died Tuesday, January 25 [2000], at her residence.
Born in Hammonton, Lehew was a lifelong resident.
Surviving her are: her husband, Eugene; two sisters, Marie Borger, of Gloucester, NJ, and Lucy McClaskey and her husband George, of Hammonton; her nieces, Jean Bush and her husband Ronald, Deborah Ferry and her husband Michael, Donna Lea and her husband Joseph, Patricia Toner and her husband Thomas, and Judy Pratt; her great-nephews, Ronald Bush Jr., Michael Markowski, and Mark Bush; and her great-nieces, Nicole Thomas, Tara Toner, and Jamie Lea.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on January 31 at St. Joseph’s Church in Hammonton. Internment followed at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown, NJ.

Katherine Berenato
Katherine Berenato (Schipani), 84, of Hammonton, wife of the late Frank J., died Monday, January 24 [2000], at her residence.
Born in Philadelphia, Berenato was an area resident for 68 years. She was a machine operator and worked for various clothing manufacturers in the area. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society of St. Joseph’s Church, and the Hammonton Senior Citizens.
Surviving her are: two daughters, Josephine Vohl, of Elizabeth, Colo., and Anita DeVries, of Hammonton; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, January 27, at St. Joseph’s Church in Hammonton.
Internment followed at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.

Margaret Donio
Margaret Donio, 96, of the Rosedale Section of Winslow Twp., died Wednesday, January 26 [2000], at home.
Born in Rosedale, Donio was a lifelong resident there. Donio was a sewing machine operator for the Quartermaster in Philadelphia. She was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers’ Union, St. Joseph’s RC Church and its Altar Rosary Society.
Surviving her are: five sisters, Edith Donio, of Rosedale, Lucy Capuano, of Philadelphia, Ann Prejean, of Kerrville, Texas, Catherine DeBlase, of Atco, and Gloria Cappuccio, of Hammonton; and one brother, Carmine “Knute” Donio, of Winslow.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 29, at St. Joseph’s RC Church in Hammonton.
Burial followed at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hammonton.

Elizabeth Penza (Crescenzo), 88, of Hammonton, wife of the late Thomas, died Monday, January 24 [2000], at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Elm, Penza was area resident all her life.
Surviving her are: her son Thomas Penza and his wife Frances, of Hammonton; her daughter, Betty Lou and her husband Joseph DiGuglielmo, of Hammonton; two sisters, Anna Camorata, of Marlton, and Margaret Perna, of Elm; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 27, at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Hammonton.
Internment followed at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton.
