Ingeborg M. Norman
JEFFERSON - Ingeborg M. Norman, a 55-year resident of the Milton section of Jefferson, died on June 24, 2007, at Saint Clare's Hospital, Dover. She was 76.
She was born on July 13, 1930 in Bronx, N.Y., the daughter of Hugo and Engel Geisler Cord.
Mrs. Norman is survived by her husband, Maynard, of Milton; a son, Maynard J. Norman of Montgomery, Texas; two daughters, Catherine Cymbala of Somerville and Vicki Kulik of Milton. She is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Vander Plaat-Stickle Memorial Home, 187 LaRue Road, Newfoundland. A funeral will be held at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday during visiting hours. There will be a private cremation.
Memorial donations may be sent to American Diabetes Association or Milton First Aid Squad. Arrangements are under the direction of Vander Plaat-Stickle Memorial Home, Newfoundland.
Dennis J. Smith
WANTAGE - Dennis J. Smith, 49, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 23, 2007, at Saint Clare's Hospital in Sussex.
Born in Newton to Donald and Lois Smith, he was a lifelong resident of Sussex County. Mr. Smith was a self-employed mason contractor in Wantage, owning and operating Dennis Smith Masonry.
For over 10 years, he was a coach for High Point Midget Football and had served as vice president of the Sussex-Wantage Wrestling Club, where he also volunteered for more than three years.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Christine; two sons, Christopher and William, at home; his daughter, Nicole, at home; his parents, Donald and Lois Smith of Andover Borough; two brothers, Terry "Butch" of Dingman's Ferry, Pa. and Donald Smith of Bushkill, Pa.; four sisters, Diane McAllister of Lakeville, Pa., Donna Hagan of Dingman's Ferry, Pa., Joanne Smith of Newton and Vicki Murray of Dingman's Ferry, Pa.; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank St. (Route 23), Sussex. Interment
will follow at Clove Cemetery
in Wantage. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Gordon R. Terhune
LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Gordon R. Terhune, 79, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at his daughter's home in Vernon. Mr. Terhune was born on June 5, 1928 in Hackensack, the son of William and Jula Coyman Terhune. He resided in Park Ridge before moving to Las Vegas 16 years ago.
Mr. Terhune was a salesman for Levitz Furniture in Paramus. He was also a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.
Mr. Terhune is survived by his wife, Helen (Struckmann) Terhune; a son, Gordon Terhune of Sparta; four daughters, Nancy Stanley of Wurtsboro, N.Y., Sandra Myzak of Vernon, Carolyn Ottogalli of Vernon and Shirley Sena of Hamburg; and nine grandchildren.

Floyd L. Vealey
MANSFIELD, Ohio - Floyd L. Vealey, 67, of Mansfield, Ohio, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, at Mifflin Care Center, after a brief illness. He was born Oct., 14, 1939 in Franklin.
He was the son of Perrey and Dorothy Vealey. He retired from Hy Grade Beverage as a driver after 20 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Claire Vealey; one son and daughter-in-law, Stephan and Amy Vealey, of Mansfield, Ohio; two daughters and sons-in-law, Suzanne and John Traub and Kathleen and Richard Burns, all of New Jersey; two grandchildren, Christopher and Adam Vealey, both of Mansfield, Ohio; one brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Carol Vealey of North Carolina; and a sister, Janet Wottle of Canton, Ohio.

Frances M. Ryan
HARDYSTON - Frances M. Ryan, 85, of Hardyston, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2007. She was born and raised in Manhattan and later raised her family in Closter. She moved to Hardyston in 2000. Mrs. Ryan was a parishioner of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Hamburg.
Mrs. Ryan enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her loving husband, William, in 1967; her beloved son, William Joseph, in 1998; two sisters and one brother.
Mrs. Ryan leaves behind her devoted son, Charles Ryan and his wife, Elyse, of Hardyston; two cherished grandchildren, Kathryn and Daniel; three precious great- grandchildren, Kyle, Adeline and Grace.
Friends may call today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta. A Mass of Christian Burial will held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Jude the Apostle Church, Hamburg. Interment

Margaret R. "Peggy" Conrads
HUDSON, Fla. - Margaret R. "Peggy" Conrads, 63, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007, in New Port Richey following a brief illness. Born in Newton, she had resided in Andover Borough for most of her life. She moved to Florida in 1994.
Daughter of the late Charles and Jane Stang Cornine, Mrs. Conrads was a 1962 graduate of Newton High School. She had worked as a bus driver and office manager for 27 years at the former Black Bus Co. in Andover.
Mrs. Conrads was an active member of the Lakeland First Aid Squad in Andover for many years, and was a past chief. After retirement, she worked as a cashier for the Hudson McDonalds and, most recently, as a motor home driver for the Harberson RV Center in Pasco.
A parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church in Newton, Mrs. Conrads was an avid bowler. She also enjoyed Bingo, sewing and anything craft-related.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Alfred "Al"; her son, Edward C. and his spouse, Dana, of Andover; her daughter, Theresa L., and her spouse, Robert Stank, of Cranberry Lake in Byram. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Cornine Jr., of Pond Eddy, N.Y., and her sister, Ella May Walker, of Fredon; and five grandsons, Ed Jr., Tyler, and Brett Conrads, and Robby and Michael Stank.
A funeral service will be held Monday, June 25, at 9:30 a.m., in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home, 156 Main St., Newton. Interment

Mario Donnarumma
NEWTON - Mario Donnarumma, 77, died Thursday, June 21, 2007, at home. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he resided for 37 years before moving to Sussex County 40 years ago.
Mr. Donnarumma was a foreman at Sutherland Packaging Co. in Andover for 40 years before his retirement.
The son of the late Peter and Anna Oliva Donnarumma, he was also predeceased by two brothers, Baldarrasse Donnarumma in 2000 and Carmine Donnarumma in 1993, and one sister, Antoinette Donnarumma in 1993.
He is survived by three sisters, Betty DeFino, Josephine Lori and Mary Oliva, all of Brooklyn.

Robert L. Phister Jr.
ALEXANDRIA, N.Y. - Robert L. Phister Jr., 72, of the hamlet of Plessis, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Samaritan Medical Center, where he had been a patient since May 23.
Born May 5, 1935, in Elizabeth, he was the son of the late Robert L. and Elizabeth Lutz Phister Sr. He was a graduate of Roxbury High School and had attended Montclair College.
He married Rosemarie Morris on Jan. 18, 1955, at Sacred Heart Church in Dover. The couple lived in Randolph and Andover before moving to their Clear Lake home in 2003.
Mr. Phister taught electricity and climate control at Sussex County Vocational-Technical School in Sparta in the early 1960s. He also owned and operated R.L. Phister & Sons, Lake Hopatcong, an industrial and commercial heating and air conditioning service for 25 five years. He was a Minnkota Trolling Motor repairman for over 20 years, first in Newton, and then in Plessis.
He loved to fish and was a past president of the New Jersey Bass Federation. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Sparta.
Survivors including his wife are four sons and their wives, Steven and Linda of Highland Lake, Donald and Donna of Franklin, William and Fran of Lake Worth, Fla., and Joseph and Karen of Tennessee; a daughter and her husband, Katherine and Joseph Kistle of Franklin; 14 grandchildren; a brother, Fred Phister, of Moneta, Va.; and a sister, Virginia Sevilen of Byram.

Ford L. Tresslar
MILFORD, Pa. - Ford L. Tresslar, 88, died Thursday, June 21, 2007, at Milford Senior Care. The son of the late Starburt and Maude Elizabeth Locklin Tresslar, he was born in Hawley, Pa., on Feb. 5, 1919.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a retired production manager for Picatinny Arsenal in Rockaway Township.
He was a 60-year member of Acadia Lodge F&AM; No. 20 in Dover; past patron of the River Valley Chapter of 33 OES; a member of Tilgman, Angle, Smith American Legion Post 851 in Dingmans Ferry, and past commander of the VFW post in Dover. He was a member of the Golden Age Club of Milford, the AARP in Milford, and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Dingmans Ferry.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Betty.
He is survived by his wife, Margot Muller Tressler; three daughters, Sharon Bond of Milford, Deborah Merz of Oak Ridge and Donna Thiebold of Honesdale; three sons, Richard Tresslar of Augusta, Michael Tresslar of Belvidere and Thomas Tresslar of Honesdale; two step-children, Mona Navitsky of Chicago and Don Wagenhals of Sparta; 19 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, on Sunday, June 24, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Masonic services will be held Sunday evening. Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 16 Delaware Crest, Dingmans Ferry, on Monday, June 25, at 10 a.m. Rev. Niels Nielson will officiate.
