Linda L. Boyle
Linda L. (nee Brown) Boyle, 51, of Blue Anchor, died Thursday, March 9 [2000], in Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia.
Born in Ebensburg, Pa., Boyle lived in this area for 40 years. She was a secretarial assistant II at Ancora Psychiatric Hospital.
Surviving her are: her husband, Wade A. Boyle; one daughter, Michelle Boyle-Scarelli, of Bordentown; one son, Brian Boyle, of Winslow, NJ; and her granddaughter, Alyssa Michelle Boyle.
Relatives and friends attended services on Monday, March 13, at the Carnesale Funeral Home in Hammonton.
Burial followed at the Winslow Methodist Cemetery.

Sister Antoinette Argenti
Sister Antoinette Argenti, 87, former vice principal of St. Joseph High School from 1961 to 1973, died Tuesday, March 21 [2000], at the Villa Walsh Infirmary in Morristown.
Born in Trenton, Argenti entered the Institute of the Religious Teachers Filippini in 1926. She received the habit in 1929 and made her profession in 1932. Argenti earned a bachelor degree in history at the College of St. Elizabeth and did post graduate work in guidance and administration at Catholic University in Washington, DC. Argenti’s religious life spanned 70 years. She was missioned as a teacher in the following schools: St. James, Trenton; Our Lady of Mt. Virgin, Garfield; St. Anthony, Hartford, Conn.; Most Holy Rosary, Perth Amboy; Holy Redeemer, Cleveland, Ohio; St. Anthony, Bristol, Conn.; Sacred Heart, Clifton; and Villa Walsh Academy. She served at St. Joseph High School in Hammonton in its early years and returned as vice principal from 1961 to 1973. She also taught Latin and Italian. Appreciated by students and faculty alike, Argenti was a diligent, conscientious teacher and administrator whose often serious demeanor covered a warm, understanding heart. She took a personal interest in students and in people whom she met. She retired from teaching in 1995 and entered the Villa Walsh Infirmary shortly after.
Argenti was predeceased by two brothers, Gino and Armando.
Surviving her are: her sister-in-law, Lee Argenti, of Fla.; and her nephew, Gino Argenti, of Mercerville; and several grandnephews, grandnieces and cousins.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 24, at the St. Lucy Chapel at Villa Walsh in Morristown. Internment followed at the Villa Walsh Cemetery.
James Perna
James Perna, 88, of Hammonton, husband of the late Angelina (Moffa), died Friday, March 24 [2000], at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Rosedale, Perna was an area resident all his life. He was a retired machine operator and worked at Wm. B. Kessler Clothing Mfg. for more than 40 years.
Surviving him are: two sons, Vincent J. Perna, of Hammonton, and Ronald J. Perna, of Cape May; five brothers, Michael Perna, of Hammonton, Dominic Perna, of Hammonton, Clarence Perna, of Hammonton, Thomas Perna, of Rosedale, and Gusto Perna, of Hialeah, Fla.; one sister, Margaret Rendina, of Tampa, Fla.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, March 28, at St. Joseph’s Church in Hammonton.
Internment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hammonton.
Arrangements were made by the Marinella Funeral Home.
Arthur Celi
Arthur Celi, 82, of Hammonton, died Wednesday, March 22 [2000], at his residence.
Born in Hammonton, Celi was a lifelong resident. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Farm Bureau of America for 40 years.
Surviving him are: his wife, Rose (LaManna); two sisters, Janet LaFleur, of Hammonton, and Angie Ruggero, of Hammonton.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, March 25, at St. Martin de Porres Church. Burial followed at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton.

James J. D’Angelillio
James J. D’Angelillio, 81, of Stratford, died Sunday, February 27 [2000].
Born in Philadelphia, D’Angelillio was a retired personel director for the federal government, working in Philadelphia for 32 years. He was a deacon at St. Luke’s Church in Stratford and a member of the First Deaconate in the Diocese of Camden, a member of the Marriage Tribunal and a Fourth-Degree Knight of Bishop J. Eustace Knights of Columbus. D’Angelillio served in WWII in the European Theater, and was discharged from active duty in 1946, retiring from the U.S. Army Reserve as a Major.
Surviving him are: two daughters, Nancy R. Strange, of Wenonah, NJ, and Suzan E. D’Angelillio, of Westmont, NJ; his son, Joseph J. D’Angelillio, of Middletown, NJ; a sister, Rita Neil, of Hammonton; and three grandchildren.

James C. Sweeney
James C. Sweeney, 63, of Hammonton, died suddenly on Wednesday, March 29 [2000], at his residence. Born in Merchantville, Sweeney was an area resident all his life. He retired in 1999 as a security guard for Caesars Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City. He was a graduate of Hammonton High School Class of 1954, and served in the US Navy after graduation.
Surviving him are: his wife, Mary E. (Mahon); one son, Arthur J. Sweeney, of Hammonton; two daughters, Kathleen Sweeney, of Maple Shade, and Mary Vaccarella, of Hammonton; one sister, Carol A. Sweeney, of Hammonton; and two grandchildren.

Luis F. Rivera
Luis F. Rivera, 47, of Lindenwold, formerly of Hammonton, died on Saturday, April 1 [2000], at home.
Born in Puerto Rico, Rivera lived in the area for 26 years. Rivera retired from the Town of Hammonton’s Highway Dept. after working there for 19 years.
Surviving him are: his wife, Mary Brown, of Lindenwold, his mother, Tomasa Amara, of Puerto Rico; his children, James Brown, of Lindenwold, Angie Brown, of Lindenwold, Shawnda Brown, of Lindenwold, and Tanya Brown, of Lindenwold; three brothers, Wilfredo Rivera, of Lindenwold, Filippi Rivera, of Puerto Rico, and Sammy Rivera, of Puerto Rico; one sister, Ruthie Rivera, of Puerto Rico; and 7 grandchildren.
Services will be held this evening at 7:30 p.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St. in Hammonton, where relatives and friends may call after 6 p.m.
Burial will follow in Puerto Rico.
Steven D. Nilson
Steven D. Nilson, 29, of Hammonton, died Saturday, April 1 [2000], in Atco.
Born in Stratford, Nilson was a lifelong resident. He was a self-employed painter.
Surviving him are: his father, Paul A. Nilson Sr., of Hammonton; his step-mother, Celeste Nilson, of Hammonton; his mother, Patricia Smith, of Chesilhurst; his paternal grandmother, Virginia Nilson, of Hammonton; two brothers, Paul A. Nilson Jr., of Millville, and Brian Nilson, of Hammonton; three sisters, Patricia Nilson, of Boston, Jennifer Nilson, of Hammonton, and Megan Nilson, of Hammonton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 7, at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph’s RC Church in Hammonton. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday evening April 6 after 7 p.m. and again on Friday after 8 a.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St. in Hammonton.

Angelina R. DeMarco
Angelina R. DeMarco (DeFrancisco), 88, formerly of Atlantic City and more recently of Greenbriar Nursing Home in Hammonton, died Saturday, April 15 [2000], at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Hammonton, DeMarco lived in Atlantic City for 30 years, where she operated DeMarco’s Market in Chelsea Heights along with her husband Albert, until her retirement in 1970. She was an active member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Rosary Society and was involved in many volunteer organizations in Atlantic City.
DeMarco was the wife of the late Albert DeMarco.
Surviving her are: one son, Edward DeMarco and his wife Barbara, of Ocean City; a daughter, Susan and her husband Raymond Notaro, of Berlin; four sisters, Rose Brown, of Hammonton, Jeanette DeFrancisco, of Hammonton, Rita DeFrancisco, of Hammonton, and Helen Gifford-Couture, of Fairfield, Calif.; three loving granddaughters, Noelle Notaro Noyes, of Moorestown, NJ, Regina Griffith, of Egg Harbor Twp., and Aimee DeMarco, of Orlando, Fla.; one grandson, Dan Daughenbaugh, of Ocean City; and two great-granddaughters.
