Joyce Martelli
Joyce Martelli (nee Beebe), 55, of Hammonton, died Wednesday, September 20 [2000], at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Weymouth, Martelli was a lifelong resident of the area. She was the manager at Gullo’s Hair Salon in Vineland.
Surviving her are: her husband, Joseph Martelli Sr.; one daughter, Michelle Melhado, of Hammonton; two sons, Robert Wells, of Cape May, and Joseph Martelli Jr., of Somers Point; one brother, Peter “Bubby” Beebe, of Hammonton; two sisters, Judith Damico, of Hammonton, and Norma Caruso, of Hammonton; and seven grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Friday, September 22, at the Carnesale Funeral Home in Hammonton.
Burial was private at the convenience of the family.

Mariano L. Fascetta
Mariano L. Fascetta, 84, of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Hammonton, died Saturday, September 23 [2000], at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in New York, Fascetta lived in Hammonton for many years before moving to Florida in 1990. He retired in 1982 as the owner and operator of Murray Beauty Salon in Hammonton. He served in the U.S. Army dur-ing WWII. He was also a member of the Hammonton American Legion Post #186.
Fascetta was predeceased by his late wife Cora (LaGreca).
Surviving him are: his wife, Jean (Wilson); his son, Maurice Fascetta and his wife Denise, of Hammonton; and he was the loving grandfather of Michele Fascetta.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial today at 11 a.m. at St. Martin de Porres Church in Hammonton.
Entombment followed at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing.

Catherine Festa
Catherine Festa (nee Ciraolo), 76, of Hammonton, died Saturday, September 23 [2000], at home.
Born in Hammonton, Festa lived here most of her life, except for a short time in Florida and Atco. Before retiring, Festa worked as a licensed practical nurse for Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton. She was also the former owner of the Spot Tavern in Elwood. Festa was a member of the Hammonton Democratic Club, the Atlantic County American Cancer Society, and a member of the Atco Senior Citizens.
Festa was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore Festa.
Surviving her are: one son and daughter-in-law, Elliott and Sandra Festa, of Hammonton; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Anthony Tedeschi Sr., of Winslow; two sisters, Francis Tomosone, of Voorhees, and Grace Sousa, formerly of Hammonton; two grandsons, Elliott Festa Jr. and Anthony Tedeschi Jr., and one granddaughter, Ashley Festa.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, September 26, at St. Joseph’s RC Church in Hammonton.

Joseph A. Olivo
Joseph A. Olivo, 78, of Hammonton, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Hammonton, Olivo was a lifelong resident. He was a part-ner, along with his brothers Jack and the late Frank, of Olivo’s Thriftway Food Market in Hammonton since 1933 until he retired in 1987, when the business was sold. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society of Hammonton. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Pallotti Council, the Hammonton Kiwanis Club, and the Hammonton JayCees. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, and was a member of the VFW Passalaqua Post #1026 of Ham-monton..
Surviving him are: his wife, Elisabeth (nee Wuillermin); one son, R. Joseph Olivo, of Ocean City; one sister, Grace Ficchi, of Haddonfield; a brother, Jack Olivo and his wife Silvia, of Hammonton; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends attended a Funeral Liturgy Mass on Friday, September 29, at St. Joseph’s RC Church in Hammonton.
Burial followed at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hammonton.

Salvatore “Sam” J. Celona
Salvatore “Sam” J. Celona, 85, of Hammonton, died on Thursday, September 28 [2000], at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Hammonton, Celona was a lifelong resident. He was a retired owner and operator of Sam’s Super Service Center in Hammonton from 1940 until his retirement in 1992. He was an avid hunter.
Surviving him are: his wife, Elizabeth (DeMarco); three sons, David Celona and his fiancee Linda, of Hammonton, Sam Celona, of Hammonton, and Randy Celona and his wife Sandy, of Cedarbrook; three brothers, Domenic Celona, of Hammonton, Anthony Celona, of Hammonton, and John Celona, of Hammonton; three sisters, Rose Mazza, of Hammonton, Grace Mazzagatti, of Hammonton, and Anna Berenato, of Hammonton; three grandchildren, Sissie, Samantha and Lauren Celona; and one great-grandson, Thomas.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Monday, October 2, at the Marinella Funeral Home in Hammonton.
Burial followed at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton.

Trinidad Jacobo
Trinidad Jacobo, 68, of Egg Harbor City, passed away on Saturday, September 30 [2000], at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, with her son David and her daughter-in-law Grace by her side.
Born in Aguascalientes, Mexico, Jacobo resided in southern New Jersey for 35 years. She was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Vineland, and believed in the resurrection and the second coming of Jesus Christ, and she rests on that faith.
Surviving her are: her husband, Jose, of Egg Harbor; her 11 children, Juan Jacobo, of Egg Harbor, Maria Jacobo, of Egg Harbor, Marta Jacobo-Jones, of Egg Harbor, Julia Jacobo, of Mexico, David Jacobo, of Winslow, Ernesto Jacobo, of Winslow, Eunice J. Aguiña, of Hammonton, Jose Jacobo Jr., of Folsom, Benjamin Jacobo, of Egg Harbor Twp., Esther Mondragon Jacobo, of Dallas, and William Jacobo, of Mays Landing; three sisters, Rosa Lopez, of Mexico, Virginia Lopez, of Mexico, and Silvestra Dimas, of Mexico; four broth-ers, Florencio Lopez, of New Mexico, Candelario Lopez, of Mexico, Catarino Lopez, of Mexico, and Guadalupe Lopez, of Mexico; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Thursday, October 5, at 10 a.m. at the Seventh Day Adventist Church at 230 W. Chestnut St. in Vineland.
Burial will follow at the Egg Harbor City Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call Wednesday evening, October 4, at 7 p.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home at 202 S. Third St., Hammonton.

Rose M. Merlino
Rose M. Merlino (Martinelli), 93, of Hammonton, died on Thursday, October 12 [2000], at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Landisville, NJ, Merlino lived in Hammonton most of her life. She retired from Minotola Industries as a machine sewer and also worked for South Jer-sey Clothing Co. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and a member of the Hammonton Senior Citizens.
Merlino was the wife of the late William A. Merlino.
Surviving her are: a brother, Domenick Martinelli, of Vineland; two sisters, Mary Gardenghi, of Landisville, and Josephine Nesi, of Vineland; and she was the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, at St. Joseph’s Church. Entombment followed at Greenmount Cemetery.

Joanne Santora
Joanne Santora (Bombara), 81, of Waterford, died on Sunday, October 8 [2000], at West Jersey Hospital in Berlin.
Born in Philadelphia, Santora was a lifelong resident of Waterford. She was a member for the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union of America and worked for several local clothing firms. She was a former member of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society of St. Anthony’s Church.
Santora was the wife of the late Rocco Santora.
Surviving her are: two sons, Kenneth Santora and his wife Edith, of Waterford, and Rocco Santora and his wife Patricia, of Waterford; two daughters, Joanne Donnelly and her husband James, of Atco, and Rita Santora, of Edison; two broth-ers, John Bombara, of Hammonton, and Salvatore Bombara, of Waterford; two sisters, Concetta Midure, of Waterford, and Josephine Hollingshead, of Waterford; and she was the loving grandmother of Jennifer, Melissa, Marie, Stephanie and Kevin.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on October 12, at St. Anthony’s Church in Waterford. Burial followed at Berlin Cemetery.
