Mariano Maldonado
Mariano Maldonado, 73, of Hammonton, died Tuesday, January 8 [2002], at his home.
Born in Puerto Rico he lived here for many years. Maldonado was a clerk for a Pharmaceutical Company in Puerto Rico. He coached Little League baseball and boxing in Puerto Rico. Maldonado was an avid reader who enjoyed learning by reading.
Surviving him are: five children, Luz Munoz, Anna Maldonado, Bermar Maldonado, Jorge Luis Maldonado and Jose Antonio Maldonado; 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended services on Friday, January 11, at Carnesale Funeral Home, followed by burial at Greenmount Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Carnesale Funeral Home.

George Condo
George Condo, 79, of Waterford, N.J., died on Friday, January 4 [2002], at West Jersey Hospital, in Berlin. Born in Waterford, he was an area resident all of his life. He was a retired foreman for Henkels and McCoy of Burlington. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during W.W. II.
Surviving him are: wife, Helen; daughters, Georgeanna Niedoba of Waterford, and Theresa Thurston of Atco; brothers, Ralph Condo of Glen Burnie, Md. and Richard Condo of Barrington; sisters, Lillian Askin of Mt. Royal, N.J. and Rita Calvello of Williamstown; grandchildren, Oddie, Denise, Danny, Shannon, and Rochelle; great grandchildren, Giavanna and Jordan.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, January 8, at St. Anthony Church, in Waterford, followed by interment at Berlin Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Marinella Funeral Home of Hammonton.

Mildred M. Constantino
Mildred M. Constantino, 83, of Egg Harbor Twp., wife of the late Frank, died Monday, January 7 [2002], at her daughter’s residence. Born in Green Bank, N.J. she lived in Waterford. She was a member of the Winslow Twp. and Hammonton Senior Citizens.
Surviving her are: 2 daughters, Mary Federico of Port Richie, Fla., and Ann Lemons of Egg Harbor Twp.; five sisters, Lucy Figga of Waterford, Dora Carlamere of Elwood, N.J., Anna Rodio of Nesco, Beatrice Wescoat of Millville, and Janet Webb of Hammonton. She was the loving grandmother of six, and 13 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on January 11, at St. Anthony Church in Waterford, followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, in Berlin.
Arrangements were made by Marinella Funeral Home of Hammonton.

Mary Virginia Phillips
Mary Virginia “Ginny” Phillips, 74, of Nesco, died Monday, December 31 [2001], at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Phillips was a graduate of Hammonton H.S. class of 1945. She attended Glassboro State College in the 1960’s and taught elementary school in both Mullica Twp. and Folsom. She also substituted in many other area schools. She retired from the New Jersey Bell Telephone Co. where she was a customer service representative for many years. She was an active member and past treasurer for the Telephone Pioneers of America for whom she had sewn hundreds of “Hug-a-Bears”. She attended the New Columbia United Methodist Church in Nesco all her life. Predeceased by her parents, Francis Birdsall and Mary Ida Nagel Birdsall, a daughter, Hilda Irene Phillips, a sister, Catherine Birdsall, a brother, Robert Birdsall, her aunt and uncle Roberta and John Stewart, who raised her.
Surviving her are: husband of 55 years, Ralph D. Phillips Sr.; son, Ralph D. Jr. of Clayton; daughter, Louise B. Palmisano and her husband Paul of Pomona; granddaughters, Mary and Kimberly Palmisano, Julia Niemi and husband Tom; grandson, Stephen Phillips; brother, William Birdsall Sr. and wife Nellie of Absecon; cousin, Carolyn Stewart; a nephew, two nieces, six great nieces, two great nephews and many dear cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends attended services on January 5, at the Landolfi Funeral Home, followed by an interment Oak Grove Cemetery in Hammonton.
Arrangements were made by the Landolfi Funeral Home.

Michael Anthony Mercurio
Michael Anthony Mercurio, 10, formerly of Hammonton, died Sunday January 13 [2002], at Voorhees Pediatric Health System.
Born in Summit, N.J., he lived in Raritan for the past six years. He attended the Bancroft School in Voorhees for three years.
Surviving him are: his parents, Michael and Toni (Chappine); brother, Ryan; maternal grandparents Anthony and Lillian Chappine of Hammonton; paternal grandparents Rocco Mercurio of New Milford, N.J. and Jean Milo of Arlington, TX. Loving nephew of Nancy and Joseph Berenato, Paul and Cathie McConnell, dear cousin of Joey and A.J. Berenato and Clinton McConnell.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services on Friday, January 18, at the Marinella Funeral Home, followed by entombment at Greenmount Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Marinella Funeral Home of Hammonton.

Kimberly Jo Hutter
Kimberly Jo Hutter, 39, of Devonshire Mullica Twp., died on Tuesday, January 15 [2002], at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden.
Born in Camden she lived in the area most of her life.
Surviving her are: sons, Bruce Iona and Nicholas Luongo both of Devonshire. Her mother Audrey Huddleston of Rising Sun, Md.; brother, James of Pinellas Park, Fla.; sisters, Debra Clark of Rising Sun Md., Jacqueline Hollingshead of Cedar Brook and Sheryl Martilini of Hammonton.
Relatives and friends attended a funerals service on Thursday, January 17 at Marinella Funeral Home. Burial was at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements were made by Marinella Funeral Home of Hammonton.

Joseph A. Domenico
Joseph A. Domenico, 81, of Hammonton, died Sunday, January 20 [2002], at home.
Born in Hammonton, he was a life long resident. He was a laborer for Local 172, and he belonged to the Laborers International Union of North American for 55 years. After retirement from the union, Domenico became the caretaker for Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton. He was an Army Veteran of W.W. II and was a member of the Hammonton VFW. Domenico was a member of the Holy Name Society in Hammonton.
Surviving him are: wife of 54 years, Angie Domenico; three sons, Joseph C. Domenico, Michael Domenico and John Domenico all of Hammonton; two daughters, Rita Domenico of Hammonton and Marie Sirolli of Winslow; one brother, Charles Domenico of Egg Harbor City; four grandsons, John Domenico, Michael Domenico, Vincent Domenico and Joseph Domenico.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 24, at St. Joseph’s RC Church, followed by burial at Oak Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday evening after 6 p.m. and again on Thursday morning after 9 a.m. at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. Third St.
Arrangements were made by Carnesale Funeral Home of Hammonton.

James J. Menno
James J. Menno, 78, of Hammonton, died on Friday, January 18 [2002], at his daughter’s home in Egg Harbor Township, N.J.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., he lived in Hammonton most of his life. Mento was a Navy Veteran of W.W.II. He was a plant manager for Decora of Newfield. Menno was a member of the American Legion F.A. Funston Post 186 of Hammonton.
Surviving him are: two daughters and their spouses, Agnes B and Jim Henry Hancock of Egg Harbor Twp.; Jeanette L. and Albert Brown of Hammonton; one son and daughter-in-law, Paul J. and Kellie Menno of Hammonton; one brother, Anthony Menno of Philadelphia and eight grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, January 21, at St. Martin de Porres RC Church, followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Carnesale Funeral Home.
The family requests donations to Compassionate Care Hospice, 58 Mill Street Mt. Holly, N.J. 08060.

Catherine Ingemi
Catherine Ingemi, 87, of Hammonton, wife of the late John, died Monday, January 28 [2002], at Our Lady Of Lourdes Hospital, Camden.
Born in Waterford, she was an area resident all her life. She retired in 1980 as a machine operator for Bel-Sportswear in Hammonton.
Surviving her are: two sons, Mayor Anthony of Hammonton, and Salvatore of Florence; daughter Helen (Frank) Marinelli of Marlton; brother, Carmen Maccarella of Waterford; sister, Rose Capelli of Hammonton; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 1, at St. Martin de Porres Church, followed by interment at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, in Hammonton.
Arrangements were made by Marinella Funeral Home of Hammonton.
Donations may be made to Hammonton Rescue Squad, 300 S. Egg Harbor Rd., Hammonton, N.J. 08037.

Minerva Mascioli
Minerva Mascioli, 77, of Hammonton, wife of the late Rocco J. Mascioli, died Wednesday at home.
Born in Winslow she was a lifelong area resident. Mascioli was a seamstress for Ancora Hospital.
Surviving her are: son, Rocco J.C. Mascioli and his wife Debbie Mascioli of Parkertown, N.J.; one brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Millie Pizzico of Winslow; her sister-in-law Margaret Pizzico of Hammonton and two grandchildren, Rocco A. Mascioli and Amanda J. Mascioli.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, February 2, at St. Martin de Porres RC Church, followed by burial at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hammonton.
Arrangements were made by Carnesale Funeral Home of Hammonton.
