Mary B. Holbrook
Mary B. (nee Brown) Holbrook, 76, of Hammonton, wife of the late George, died on Monday, July 8 [2002], at William B. Kessler Hospital.
Born in Philadelphia, she was an area resident most of her life. She was a graduate of Hammonton High School class of 1944. She retired in 1959 as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone.
Surviving her are: sons George W. III of Shamong Township, and John of Deptford; daughters, Lana Alliano and Mary Evans with husband John of Hammonton; grandchildren, Megan and Ryan Holbrook, Mindy and John Alliano Jr., and Amber and Jayde Evans.
Relatives and friends attended a Memorial Service for George and Mary on Saturday, July 13, at First United Methodist Church, followed by burial in Greenmount Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Marinella Funeral Home of Hammonton.

Frances Lindsay
Frances Lindsay (O’Connor), 90, wife of the late Maurice, of Hammonton, died on Friday, July 12 [2002], at Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a lifelong resident. She was the proprietor of Buckskin Center for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Soroptimist International of Hammonton, the Mothers Club and the Adelphians.
Surviving her are: son, Thomas and his wife Marie of Vienna, Va., Greg and his wife Jeanne of Medford, N.J.; daughter, Patricia Reed and her husband Jonathan of Germantown, Md.; brother, John O’Connor of Anthony, N.M.; grandchildren, Richard, Matthew and Catherine Lindsay, Janis Duffy, Christine Sebastian, Andrew Reed and Lindsay Maine; great-grandchildren, Alex, Jessica, Bryce and Emma Lindsay, Jack Reed, William, Sean and Daniel Duffy.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 15, at St. Joseph Church followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Theresa D. Coppola
Theresa D. Coppola (Del Grosso), 74, wife of the late Francis J., of Boynton Beach, Fla. and formerly of Cherry Hill, died Thursday, July 11 [2002], in Florida.
Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Boca Raton, Fla. Before moving to Boynton Beach. She retired in 1997 after 12 years as a Paralegal.
Surviving her are: son, Stephen F. with wife June of Westmont, N.J.; daughters, Joan with husband John LeVine of Boca Raton, Fla., Annette with husband Michael Donio of Hammonton, N.J., Francine with husband Richard Hall of Park Land, Fla. and Theresa with husband Timothy Prohaska of Pompano Beach, Fla.; brother, Charles DelGrosso of Stratford, N.J.; she was the grandmother of eight.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial today, at St. Joseph Church, followed by entombment at New St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bellmawr.

Angelo D. Giambatista
Angelo D. (Moe) Giambatista, 83, husband of the late Louise (Pinto) of Hammonton, died on Saturday, July 13 [2002], at Newcomb Hospital.
Born in Egg Harbor, he lived in Hammonton most of his life. He and his later wife were Owners and Operators of Moe’s Market in Hammonton until 1982. He also worked at the Atlantic City Race Track as a security guard for 15 years. He served in the Army during WWII and was a member of the American Legion Post # 186 and the V.F.W. Post #1026 both of Hammonton.
Surviving him are: daughters, Ginger Perri and her husband Bob, Lynn Triboletti and her husband Rey, all of Hammonton; brothers, William Giambatista and Gene Giambatista both of Florida; sisters, Carol Newton of Hammonton, and Mary Tasker of New York; grandchildren, Bobby, Ron, Matt and Lauren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on July 18 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church. The Mass will be followed by burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Rose M. Presti
Rose M. (nee Presti) Baglivo, wife of the late Thomas J. Baglivo, of Hammonton, died on Friday, July 12 [2002], in Greenbriar Nursing Center in Hammonton.
Born in Hammonton, she was a lifelong resident. Baglivo was a retired Machine Operator for Romolo’s Clothing Factory and she was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union.
Surviving her are: sisters-in-law, Florence DeFelice of Vineland, Rita Sarao, Rose Locavito, and Mary Presti all of Hammonton; brother-in-law, Louis Baglivo of Hammonton and many loving nieces and nephews and good friends.

Mamie Petruzzi
Mamie Petruzzi, 90, wife of the late Joseph, of Hammonton, died on Friday, July 12 [2002], at Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton.
Born in Hammonton, she was a lifelong resident. She worked as an examiner for Crown Pants Co. and Romolo’s Clothing Co. of Hammonton, retiring in 1970 after 30 years. She was a member of the Amalgamated Ladies Garment Workers Union. Petruzzi loved her family and friends with all her heart and was loved the same in return.
Surviving her are: daughter, Philomena “Phyllis” Monzo and her husband John of Hammonton; sons, Michael Petruzzi and Tom Petruzzi, of Camano Island, Wash., and Ronald Benedetto of Hammonton; grandchildren, Joseph, Michael, Robert, and David Petruzzi, Lee Ann Celona and Donna Petruzzi-Benson, and Kathleen Hook; eleven great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends attended a Funeral Liturgy this morning at St. Martin de Porres RC Church in Hammonton, followed by interment at Greenmount Cemetery.

Ferdinand A. Tomasso
Ferdinand A. (Freddy) Tomasso, 82, of Hammonton, died in the presence of his wife and loved ones.
Born in Vineland, he lived in Hammonton most of his life. He retired in 1982 as the former Vice President of MACTOM General Contractors. After his retirement he worked for Cappella General Contractors. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a forth degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a past Grand Knight of the Pallotti Council #3471 of Hammonton. He was also a licensed Amateur Radio Operator.
Surviving him are: wife, Catherine (nee. Machise); son, Louis and his wife Maureen of Attleboro, Ma.; daughter, Vivian Morrissey and her husband Michael of Hammonton; two sisters, Joanna Scafaria of Deerfield, Fla. and Theodora Forgione of Falls Church, Va.; grandchildren, Kevin and Jaclyn Tomasso; several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Martin de Porres Church on Thursday, July 25, followed by burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Mary Berenato
Mary Berenato (nee Rhodes), 86, wife of the late William, of Hammonton, died on Monday, July 22 [2002], at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, she lived in Hammonton most of her life. She was the owner of Mary’s Luncheonette in Marlton, N.J. for over 30 years before opening Mary’s in Hammonton in 1998.
Surviving her are: daughters, Marion Distasio of Hammonton, Joyce Rosenberg of Aventura, Fla.; brother, Thomas Rhodes of Hammonton; grandchildren, Michele and Albert Jennings; great-grandchildren, Krista and Kendra Jennings.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, July 26 at St. Anthony of Padua Church, followed by burial at Greenmount Cemetery.

Sixto Echevarria
Sixto Echevarria, 77, of Hammonton died on Tuesday, July 22 [2002], in Kindred Hospital in Philadelphia.
He was a retired laborer for Eastern Brewery of Hammonton. Mr. Echevarria was a former member of the Puerto Rican Civic Club, el Crusillo, and he was a current member of St. Joseph’s Church in Hammonton and St. Nicholas Church in Egg Harbor.
Surviving him are: wife of 47 years, Ada Echevarria of Hammonton; sons, Sergio Echevarria and his wife Debra of Galloway, Elizer Echevarria and his wife Nilsa of Egg Harbor Twp., Orlando Echevarria and his wife Marta of Hammonton, Oscar Echevarria and his wife Jennifer of Egg Harbor, Wilfredo Echevarria and his fiancée Liz Arrocho of Elm; daughters, Milta and husband Jim Fifth of Weekstown, Lucy and husband Robert Torres of Mullica; sister, Angelica Garcia of Hammonton; brother, Juan Ramon Garcia of Conn.; 18 grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

Carol A. Sweeney
Carol A. Sweeney, 61, of Hammonton, died on Saturday, July 27 [2002].
Born in Merchantville, she was a lifelong resident of Hammonton. She retired in 2001 after 10 years as an underwriter for Fleet Bank in Mays Landing. She graduated from St. Joseph High School Class of 1958 and attended Harkum Junior College in Pa. She was a member of St. Joseph Church Altar Rosary Society and W.B. Kessler Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.
She was the dear sister of the late James C. Sweeney and his wife Mary E. (Mahon) of Hammonton.
Surviving her are: nephew, Arthur and wife Roseann Sweeney of Mullica Township; nieces, Kathleen Sweeney of Maple Shade, and Mimi and husband Michael Vaccarella of Folsom; great-nephews, Michael, Matthew and Mason Vaccarella.
Relatives and friends attended a Memorial Mass on July 30 at St. Joseph Church.
