Norman Ronald Gudknecht
Norman Ronald Gudknecht, 69, of Hammonton, died on Saturday, July 27 [2002], at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia.
Born in Philadelphia, he was an area resident for the past 29 years. He worked for Universal Supply Co. in Hammonton for the past 12 years. He enjoyed camping.
Surviving him are: wife, Alice (Lieb); sons, Norman Jr. of Bucks County, Pa., Christopher of Blackwood and Robert Kroh of Philadelphia; daughters, Lois Pyle of Folsom and Lisa Shuhart of Collings Lakes, N.J.; two brothers and one sister; 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Relatives and friends attended a Funeral Services at Marinella Funeral Home this morning followed by burial at Greenmount Cemetery.

Marie A. Mazzo
Marie A. Mazzo, 74, of Hammonton, wife of the late Joseph V. Mazzo, died on Saturday, July 27 [2002], at Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Philadelphia, she was formerly of Stratford and lived in Braddock for 15 years before moving to Hammonton.
Mazzo retired in 1994 as a food server at Caesar’s Hotel and Casino, Atlantic City after 11 years.
Surviving her are: sons, Joseph V. Mazzo Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Braddock, Michael A. Mazzo and his wife Elaine of Richmond, Va.; brother, Joseph Quieti of Williamstown; sister, Loretta Vitale of Erial; six grandchildren, Rochelle, Daniel, Jennifer, Jessica, Jared, and Julianne.
Relatives and friends attended a Funeral Liturgy at St. Martin de Porres Church this morning followed by private Interment.
Arrangements were made by Landolfi Funeral Home of Hammonton.

Marie C. Monastra
Marie C. Monastra, 89, of Hammonton, died August 14 [2002], at her residence in Atlantic City.
Born in Hammonton, Marie graduated from Hammonton High School in 1931. She worked in the Bellevue Dress Shop, the first women’s clothing store, owned by her mother, Anna Cipo, and Aunt, Violet Ordille. Subsequently, the family owned and operated the first frozen custard store in Hammonton.
Monastra was employed at Atlantic Electric, Rice’s Hardware and Crown Pants Company as a bookkeeper and customer service representative. She resided in Atlantic City beginning in 1968, where she retired as bookkeeper and manager from her husband’s firm, Chelsea Realty Co., in 1978.
Monastra’s involvement in community service included founding the Catholic Daughter’s Court Queen of Apostles # 1680, where she served as Grand Regent and District Deputy, the Soroptomist Club of Hammonton, as a former President and District Director, and the Board of the Child Federation of Atlantic City.
Surviving her are: husband of 61 years, Louis F. Monastra; son, Richard Monastra of Chicago, Ill.; daughters, Ann Louise Monastra of Atlantic City and Shirley Monastra of Washington, D.C. She is predeceased by her sister, Catherine C. Angello and brother Anthony B. Cipo.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 17, at St. Joseph’s Church followed by burial in Greenmount Cemetery.

Rose LaManna Celi
Rose LaManna Celi, 88, of Hammonton, died on Saturday, August 17 [2002], at her home.
Born in Camden, she was a resident of Hammonton for more than seventy eight years.
Surviving her are: son, William G. LaManna, sister, Margaret Dovico; daughters in law, Sandra LaManna, and Valerie LaManna all of Hammonton, nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Justina Rivera, 85, wife of the late Alberto Rivera and mother of the late Noel Rivera, of Hammonton, died on Saturday, August 17 [2002], at Kessler Hospital.
Born in Puerto Rico she lived in Hammonton for many years.
Surviving her are: daughters, Esperanza Santiago of Hammonton, Ester Aponte of Vineland, Maria Pabon and Iris Pagan, both of New York City, Juli Cardi of Puerto Rico; 23 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren.

Anne Lowe
Anne Lowe (nee Capelli), 87, of Hammonton, died on Friday, August 16 [2002], at William B. Kessler Memorial Hospital. Born in Hammonton, she was a lifelong resident.
Surviving her are: daughter, Rochelle Lowe of Atlantic City; sons, Don Lowe of Hammonton, and Terry Lowe and daughter-in-law Chris Mazzeo of Hammonton; brothers, Nunzio Capelli of Pleasantville and Anthony Alessi of Absecon; sister, Carmella Jewkes of Ormond Beach, Fla.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Jennie Mufalli
Jennie Mufalli (Giuffre), 89, wife of the late Joseph Mufalli, of Hammonton, died on Saturday, August 17 [2002], at Absecon Manor.
Born in Hammonton, she was a life long resident. She retired in 1960 from the William B. Kessler Clothing Company as a payroll clerk. She was a member of the Hammonton Senior Citizens. She was also predeceased by her sisters Mary Mazzio and Katherine Pavese, her brothers Peter, Anthony, and John Giuffre.
Surviving her are: sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Giuffre of Hammonton, Mary Machall of Pleasantville, N.J., and Sara Mancuso of Philadelphia, Pa.; many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and -nephews.

Marion J. Rehmann
Marion J. Rehmann, 90, wife of the late former Town Engineer, Earl Rehmann and sister of the late Edna Grisso, of Hammonton, died on Monday, July 15 [2002], at the Heritage Assisted Living Facility in Hammonton.
Born in Philadelphia, she moved to Hammonton in 1920. She was a partner in the engineering firm of Adams & Rehmann and continued as Treasurer of the firm of Adams, Rechmann and Heggan until her semi-retirement in 2000. She was an active member and Deacon of the Hammonton Presbyterian Church for more than 60 years where she also taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School. She was a den mother of the Cub Scouts and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star Hammonton Chapter. Marion dearly loved her family and friends and will be missed by all.
Surviving her are: brothers, John F. Jones of Stevens, Pa., William Jones of Pitman and Richard Jones of Edgewater, Fla.; sons and wives, Earl J. and Felicia Rehmann of Medford, Chris and Loretta Rehmann of Hammonton; grandchildren, Ken and Kim Rehmann of Atlanta Ga., Nancy and Barry Van Sant of Galloway Township, Chris Rehmann and Rachel Duncan of Champagne, Ill., and Richard and Linda Rehmann of Hammonton; great-grandchildren, Brendon, Katelyn, Emily, Jessica, Erin and Jack Rehmann, and Sammy Van Sant, and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends attended a Service on Friday, July 19 at the Hammonton Presbyterian Church, followed by Interment at Greenmount Cemetery.

Peter C. Beebe
Peter C. “Bubby” Beebe, 63, of Hammonton, died on July 18 [2002], in Fanwood, N.J. Born in Tabernacle, he was a lifelong South Jersey resident. Beebe worked as a laborer for Asphalt Paving Co. and Shore Slurry Seal both in Hammonton. He was a member of the Laborers Union Local 172 in Folsom. He was also a member of the D.C. Rod and Gun Club in Shamong Twp. and the Sons of Italy Lodge 1658.
Surviving him are: wife, Marie Beebe of Hammonton; sons, John Beebe of Hammonton, Brian Beebe and his wife Betty of Elm, and Michael Beebe of Hammonton; sisters, Judith Damico and Norma Caruso both of Hammonton; his loving companion, Judy Scola of Hammonton; grandchildren, Brian, Brandon, Brooke, Brett and Brock all of Elm. Relatives and friends celebrated Bubby’s life on July 22 at the Son’s of Italy Lodge.

Margarita Reyes
Margarita Reyes, 73, of Nesco, N.J., died on Monday, July 15 [2002], at the Virtua West Jersey Hospital in Voorhees.
Born in Utuado, PR, she was a resident of the Hammonton area for the past 50 years.
Surviving her are: husband, Luis Reyes; daughters, Tencia Reyes of Sicklerville, Doris Reyes of Mays Landing, Daysi Reyes and Nancy Colon both of Hammonton; sons, Angelo Reyes of Egg Harbor City, Jose Reyes of Hammonton, Charles Reyes of Nesco; sisters, Julia Sanchez, Agripina Sanchez and Yiyi Sanchez all of Chicago, and Delia Sanchez of PR; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
