Alberta F. Kelly
Alberta G. Kelly (Buonavolta), 77, of Elmtowne, N.J., died on Monday, July 15 [2002], at Copper Medical Center in Camden.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a South Jersey Area resident before moving to Elmtowne 4 years ago.
Surviving her are: son, George Kelly and his wife Maureen of Holland, Pa.; daughters, Kathleen Kelly of Elmtowne, Kimberly and her husband Wayne Deloison of Hammonton and Karen Mandl of Sicklerville; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, July 19, at St. Joseph Church, followed by entombment at Greenmount Cemetery in Hammonton.

Giovanni Scafidi
Giovanni Scafidi, 74, of Williamstown, died on Friday, July 19 [2002].
He was born in Belmonte Mezzagno, Sicily. He lived in Williamstown since 1966. He worked for Kessler Clothing Factory in Hammonton then De Rossi in Vineland until he retired. He even came out of retirement to work in his son’s business, Scafidi’s Dry Cleaners in Vineland.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Williamstown. He loved sports, especially World Cup Soccer. During his youth he was a superb athlete, champion soccer player and cross-country champion. He was known for his mathematical ability. He was known around the family as the “math genius,” but most of all he will be remembered as the loving, patient, understanding man and the best husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather in the world.
Surviving him are: wife of 49 years, Felicia (nee Carini); sons, Joe of Pittsgrove, George and Frank, both of Williamstown; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers and one sister, Rosario of Torino, Italy, Andrea Giacomo and Rosa of Belmonte Mezzagno, Sicily.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church on July 23, followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Williamstown.
Thelma DeLuca
Thelma DeLuca (nee O’Neil), 88, wife of the late Tommy DeLuca, of Winslow died July 12 [2002], at her daughter’s home in Winslow.
Born in Rosedale, she was a lifelong resident of Winslow Twp. Before retiring, DeLuca worked as a machine operator for Consolidated Pants Company in Hammonton. She was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union. DeLuca was an active, lifelong member of the Winslow United Methodist Church. She was a charter member and twenty five year Chaplain of Leach Circle 58 Ladies of the G.A.R. She was a graduate of Hammonton High School Class of 1931, and was a member of it’s first field hockey team.
Surviving her are: daughters and their husbands, Patricia and Charlie Ward, Helen and John Leahey, all of Winslow; grandchildren, Pam and Jerry McCredy, Kevin and Christy Maffei, Theresa and Bob Colligon, John and Britney Leahey, and Danielle Leahey; great-grandchildren, Dana, Dean, Thomas, Kevin and Jake.
Relatives and friends attended Funeral Services at Winslow United Methodist Church on July 16 followed by burial at Winslow United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Carnesale Funeral Home of Hammonton.

Charles C. Aloi
Charles C. Aloi, 76, husband of the late Anna M. Aloi, of Nesco, died on Friday, July 12 [2002], at Wm. B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a resident of Nesco since 1976. Before retiring, Aloi worked as Deputy Sheriff for the City of Philadelphia. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. Aloi was a member of the V.F.W. in Devonshire, and Lodge No. 5 of the Fraternal Order of Police in Philadelphia.
Surviving him are: sons, Daniel Aloi of Bensalem, Pa., Dennis J. Aloi of Philadelphia, Pa., Richard Allen Aloi of Morrisville, Pa., Carl S. Aloi of East Brunswick, N.J.; step-daughter, Donna Etheridge of Philadelphia, Pa.; brother, Ernest Aloi of Williamstown, N.J.; and three grandchildren.
Relatives and friends celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial this morning at St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, followed by burial at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hammonton.

Marco Bianchini
Marco Bianchini, 85, of Hammonton died on Sunday, August 11 [2002], at Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Hammonton since 1959. He was an Army Air Force Veteran of WWII. Bianchini was a member of the F.A. Funston Post 186 of the American Legion in Hammonton. He enjoyed watching classical movies, sports, spending time with his grandchildren and treating his family to Casino Brunches.
Surviving him are: wife of 56 years, Theresa (nee Campione) Bianchini of Hammonton; children and their spouses, John and Diane Bianchini of Buffalogrove, Ill., Theresa and Larry Simonini of Vineland, N.J., Mark and Rhonda Bianchini of Hammonton; sisters, Anna Seybold and her husband Len of Northeast Philadelphia and Minnie Forese of Coatesville, Pa.; grandchildren, John Bianchini Jr. and his wife Erica, Larry Simonini, Chris Simonini, Mark Bianchini Jr. and Jarred Bianchini.
Relatives and friends attended a Memorial Mass this morning at St. Joseph RC Church, followed by burial at Sepulchre Cemetery.

Celeste M. Clements
Celeste M. Clements (nee Salvatore), 89, wife of the late Benjamin F. Clements, of Hammonton, died on Tuesday, July 30 [2002], at William B. Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a life long resident of the Hammonton area. Before retiring, Clements worked as a sewing machine operator for Aggressive Manufacturing in Hammonton. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union Local No. 126.
Surviving her are: daughters and their husbands, Patricia Ann and James Doherty of North Reading, Mass. and Rosemary and James Herrington of Hammonton; sisters, Rosetta Caponigro and Elizabeth Vettese, both of Hammonton; grandchildren, James Doherty and Susan Wilkinson and her two daughters Katie and Melissa, Patricia and Robert DeMild, Mary Doherty, John and Sheryl Doherty, William and Julie Doherty, Robert Doherty and Rosemary Doherty, all of Mass., Annmarie and Michael Cronin of N.H.; great-granchildren, Patrick and Allison Doherty, Benjamin Doherty, Krista and Michael DeMild, all of Mass.

Andrew Joseph Esham
Andrew Joseph Esham, 74, of Cedar Brook, N.J., died on Monday, August 5 [2002], at the N.J. Veterans Home in Vineland.
Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Cedar Brook for the last 25 years. He retired in 1993 from Suburban Propane Gas Co. and later worked for Allen’s Oil & Propane Gas, both in Hammonton. He served in the U.S. Marines during WWII, and was a member of the F.O.P. Montgomery Co. Lodge 14.
Surviving him are: wife, Helen J. (DeMarco); sons, Andrew Esham of Seattle, Wash. and Thomas Aveni of Spofford, N.H.; daughters, Patricia Bradbury of Pipersville, Pa., Joan Esham of Mechanicsburg, Pa. and Sharon Aveni of Philadelphia, Pa., brother, John Esham of Uniondale, Pa.; sister, Paula Ahern Bishop of Laguna Nigel, Calif.; grandchildren, Brad, Christine and Joan.

Mamie B. Pizarro, 58, of Nesco, died on Thursday, August 8 [2002], at Hahnemann University Hospital.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a life long resident. Pizarro was a teacher’s aide for Atlantic Human Resources of Atlantic City.
Surviving her are: husband, Juan of Nesco; children, Robert McNight and Andre Bond, both of Philadelphia, Juanita Cato and her husband Jason of Va., Juan Bond and Diana Harris both of Hammonton; brothers, Eugene Walker and McDaniel Bonds; sister, Eleanor Smith; and eight grandchildren.

Louis Baglivo Jr.
Louis Baglivo Jr., 94, husband of the late Anna (Cirillo) died on Sunday, August 4 [2002], at Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Hammonton, he was an area resident all of his life. He retired in 1974 as a machine operator and worked for various clothing manufacturing companies in the area.
Surviving him are: son, John and wife Michele Baglivo of Galloway Township; daughter, Jacqueline and husband Robert Zang of Wachapreague, Va.; sisters, Florence De Felice, Rose Lacivito and Rita Sarao, all of Hammonton; grandchildren, John, James, Jared, Megan and Michael.
