Anthony LoSasso
Anthony LoSasso, 64, of Hammonton died Friday, November 1 [2002], at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden.
Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong area resident. Before retiring, LoSasso worked as a Chemical Operator for Whitehall Laboratories in Hammonton. He was a former member of the Cedar Brook Fire Company. He also served in the National Guard for many years.
Surviving him are: wife, Meredith A. LoSasso, sons, Anthony Jr. with wife Debra, Nicholas and his wife Eleanor, all of Cedar Brook; daughter, Karen Jacynyk of Atco; step-sons: John Panepinto of Runnemede, Joseph Panepinto of Hammonton and Michael Panepinto of Massachusetts; step-daughters, Anna Marie Dustman and Lori Panepinto, both of Hammonton; foster children: James, Andrew, Zahir, Zahira and Katelyn, all of Hammonton; brothers, Joseph of Egg Harbor City, William and Michael, both of Hammonton; four grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christina Burial on Tuesday, November 5, at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church followed by burial at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Hammonton.
Arrangements were made by Carnesale Funeral Home.
Gertrude F. Gehring
Gertrude F. Gehring, 96, of Tansboro, N.J., formerly of Collings Lakes died on Wednesday, October 30 [2002], at the Stratford Nursing and Convalescent Center, Stratford, N.J., were she was a resident for the past two years.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a resident of Collings Lakes from 1979 to 1996.
She was predeceased by her husband Ernest. Surviving her are: daughter, Bernadine Milano of Tansboro, N.J., with whom she resided until her death; son, Joseph Gehring of Deptford, N.J., seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on November 4, at Our Lady of the Lakes RC Church, Collings Lakes. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Roselyn, Pa., at the convenience of the family.

James J. Sweeney Sr.
James J. Sweeney Sr., 57, of Collings Lakes died on Tuesday, October 29 [2002], at his residence.
Born in Blackwood Terrace, N.J., he was a resident of Collings Lakes for the past 22 years. Sweeney was employed at the Kessler Memorial Hospital as a groundskeeper and medical waste person since 1980. His favorite hobbies were weight lifting and quarter mile car racing at the Atco racetrack.
Surviving him are: wife, Ivette; daughter, Sarah Ellen Cameron & husband William of Las Vegas, Nev.; sons, Edward M. & his wife Barbara, James J. Jr., all of Collings Lakes; brothers, John of Newfield and Joseph of Blackwood; sisters, Joan Bruce of Blackwood, Dolores Carney of Pine Hill, Helen McKeon of Spokane, Wash.; three grandchildren.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, October 31, at Our Lady of The Lakes RC Church, Collings Lakes, followed by interment at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Hammonton.

Ernestine A. McCaughey
Ernestine A. McCaughey (nee Schairer), 73, of Hammonton, died at her residence on Friday, November 1 [2002].
Born in Egg Harbor, she lived in Hammonton for the past 52 years. She was a member, greeter and active in many social events at St. Martin de Porres Church.
She was predeceased by her brother Francis (Fritz) Schairer Jr. Surviving her are: husband, George Jr.; sons, George with wife Karen of Voorhees, N.J., Gary with wife Gloria of Lexington, S.C., and Glenn with wife Lucille of Sarasota, Fla.; daughters, Gail Mody with husband Sam of Williamstown, N.J., Ginny Loomis with husband Mark of Hammonton; brother, Louis Schairer of Egg Harbor; sisters, Stella Tetrault, Dorothy Grillo and Margaret Walters, all of Egg Harbor, Magdalen Braun of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Henrietta Bucci and Roberta Franchetti, both of Hammonton.
Relatives and friends attended a Mass of Christian Burial on November 6 at St. Martin de Porres Church in Hammonton followed by burial at Greenmount Cemetery.

Edwin Vazquez
Edwin Elias “Little Eddie” Vazquez, 2 months, died Saturday, November 2 [2002], at home in Sicklerville.
He is survived by his parents Edwin and Marilyn Vazques of Sicklerville; siblings, Francisco M. Bermudez, Angel M. Bermudez, Yazmari Bermudez, Luis G. Gonzalez, Joel A. Gonzalez, Maria Portalatin, Vaneza Martinez, Angelina Vazquez and Edwin L. Vazquez; paternal grandparents, Iraida Melendez of Hammonton and Eduardo Vazquez; maternal grandparents, Romona Gonzalez and Miguel Vazquez; great-grandmothers, Mariana Santiago and Tereza Colon.
Services were held at the convenience of the family. Burial was in Greenmount Cemetery.

Salvador Morales-Diaz
Salvador (Caguita) Morales-Diaz of Folsom died Monday, November 4 [2002], at Kessler Memorial Hospital.
Morales-Diaz was an asphalt raker for Charles DeSorte & Son of Berlin. He was a past member of the Hammonton Puerto Rican Civic Association.
Surviving him are: wife, Petra Santiago-Morales; children, Carmen Mangual of Buena, Zaida Tavarez of Folsom, Salvatore Morales Jr. of Bossier, La., James Morales of Winslow, Maria (Mary) Morales of Austell, Ga., Joseph Morales of Folsom; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, November 8, at St. Martin de Porres Church followed by burial in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.

Clementina R. Lo Sasso
Clementina R. (De De) Lo Sasso, 81, wife of the late John, died Sunday, November 10 [2002], at her residence.
Born in Philadelphia, she was an area resident for the past 65 years. Lo Sasso was a retired seamstress and was employed by Esquire Sportswear of Hammonton for 34 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Altar Rosary Society and St. Rita Society. A former member of St. Joseph School PTA.
Surviving her are: son, Robert of Somers Point, N.J.; daughters, Jo Ann Donio of Burlington, N.C. and Clementina Assante of Haddonfield, N.J.; sister, Marion Di Tizio of Yeadon, Pa.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pasquale J. “Pat” Migliacco Sr.
Pasquale J. “Pat” Migliacco Sr., 63, of Hammonton died Sunday, November 17 [2002], at home.
Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident. Before retiring, Migliacco worked as an ironworker. He was a member of the Ironworkers Union Local No. 350 in Atlantic City. He was a member of the Cruisin Classics Car Club and the Jersey Devil Hunting Club. He was an avid golfer.
Surviving him are: son, Pat J. Migliacco Jr. and his fiancee Claudine D’Agostino, both of Hammonton; fiancee, Patti Jones of Hammonton; brothers, Jim and his wife Josephine of Elm, John and his wife Annette of Hammonton; sister, Roseann and her husband Anthony Mortellite of Hammonton; sister-in-law, Kathy Migliacco of Mullica Twp.

Phillip Zinno
Phillip Zinno, 83, of Hammonton, predeceased by his wife Anna (nee DeMarco), died Sunday, November 17 [2002], at his residence.
Born in Hammonton, he was a lifelong resident. Zinno was the retired owner of Zinno Trucking Co. He also worked as a foreman for AR DeMarco Enterprises and as foreman for National Food Marketers. He enjoyed farming and raising flowers. He was a member of the Hammonton VFW Post 1026 and served in the U.S Army during WWII.
Surviving him are: son, Phillip C. Zinno and his wife Barbara of Hammonton; brother, Dominic of Hammonton; sisters, Rose Cicala of Fla. and Theresa Zinno of Hammonton; grandchildren, Jenna and Mary Zinno; many nieces and nephews.

Mary Jane Mazza
Mary Jane Mazza (nee McClernan), 63, of Hammonton, predeceased by her husband John, died Friday, November 15 [2002], at her residence.
Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Hammonton for more than 43 years. Mazza retired in April 2002 form the State of New Jersey Dept. of Human Services as Head Clerk Supervisor. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society of St. Martin Church.
She was predeceased by her son Jerome. Surviving her are: son, Joseph H. of Hammonton; daughter, Janine Riggins of Atlantic City; brothers, Harry McClernan of Pennsauken, William McClernan of Cecil, N.J., John McClernan of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Edward McClernan of Saugerties, N.Y.; grandchild, Shawn.
